Multiversal Wanderer: Starting in Naruto

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Marvel – “Old Familiar”

"Tony!"

A woman's frantic voice echoed in the distance.

As the dust settled and he looked up, Tony saw a familiar face.

"Coulson? What the hell are you doing here again?"

Yeah, in the movies, SHIELD agents always show up late. But this time, Coulson had arrived early—he just didn't have the firepower to deal with the Iron Monger. Guy was basically just watching the chaos unfold.

"Mr. Su, Miss Chisato—long time no see," Coulson said as he approached, eyes narrowing slightly when he saw Su Xiuyu and Uchiha Chisato holding hands.

For a split second, the word "scumbag" flashed in his mind.

Was anyone ballsy enough to tell Mito about this? Not even Nick Fury would dare.

Uchiha Chisato had just handled the instigator—kicked Tony square in the gut—and was feeling much better. But now, standing next to Xiuyu, she was starting to worry: Did I come off too violent? Did I make a bad impression?

Su Xiuyu didn't think there was anything wrong. In fact, he was still annoyed that their date got interrupted.

"Pepper, I'm fine… I'm not dead."

Tony finally crawled out from the rubble, pulling off his helmet and gasping for air.

Pepper rushed over, hugging him tightly as tears streamed down her face. For a moment, she had genuinely thought he'd been beaten to death by Iron Monger.

"You okay?" Tony asked, trying to catch his breath.

"I'm fine. SHIELD agents were protecting me."

Tony wasn't the type to take a hit and just walk away. He looked up and saw the same woman who had just kicked him standing nearby.

"Hey, lady! I was trying to help you—why the hell did you attack me?"

"Pepper?"

"Chisato?"

"You two know each other?"

Su Xiuyu and Tony said in unison, both surprised.

"Yes, Tony, of course. You didn't know? The Uchiha family is the second-largest shareholder in Stark Industries. Chisato is their appointed agent. I've told you multiple times I was going to set up a meeting, but then you went off and disappeared."

Pepper's voice had a hint of exasperation. Honestly, she should've expected this. Tony always acted like the company didn't exist unless it was about his tech. And now, after all her tears, he had the nerve to forget this?

"Sister Pepper, this is the playboy you like? He's not all that. Kinda weak too," Chisato scoffed, her words blunt and merciless. When it came to others, she never held back—only Su Xiuyu ever saw her softer side.

It was the first time Tony had ever been called "weak." If he wasn't still doubled over from her earlier kick, he would've started a full-on argument.

Pepper sighed. "Okay, yeah—Tony's got his issues. Arrogant, weird, a total flirt... but he does have a good heart."

Chisato raised an eyebrow.

"So this is the big brother Xiuyu you've been talking about all this time?" Her gaze dropped to their interlocked hands. "Well, seeing you two together, I'm relieved. Congrats."

Pepper smiled, catching on quick. Chisato never showed this side of herself to anyone. If she was holding Xiuyu's hand that tightly, it meant something serious.

Though, the guy looked barely twenty. That didn't quite match the age Chisato had once described.

"Alright, Mr. Stark," Coulson stepped in, breaking the moment. "You can discuss things later. For now, we need to handle the cleanup. We'll need your cooperation."

Tony frowned. "What? I'm the victim here. Why aren't you interrogating them?" He pointed dramatically at Su Xiuyu and Chisato.

Coulson sighed internally. Tony clearly had no idea who he was dealing with. Both Su Xiuyu and Chisato were registered SHIELD assets. More than that, they'd completed impossible missions over the last decade without fail. The Uchiha Agency was practically legend.

"Tony, that's not what I meant. You and Pepper can head back. We'll visit later to get your statements. We'll also follow up with Mr. Su and Miss Chisato separately."

Tony opened his mouth to protest but stopped when he saw Pepper giving him a pleading look.

With a grunt, he gave in. "Fine. Let's go."

Soon after, new vehicles arrived—courtesy of Stark Industries—to replace the ones Iron Monger had totaled.

Su Xiuyu turned to Chisato. "Let's go too. Just a bad coincidence running into these two."

"Mm."

They glanced over at the scrapped BMW 5 Series by the sidewalk. Xiuyu clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"No way we're driving home now… guess we'll fly."

Chisato nodded. She couldn't fly on her own—not unless she activated her full-body Susanoo. And opening a portal wasn't exactly smart with SHIELD still watching.

So Su Xiuyu just picked her up in a smooth princess carry—and took off.

Tony and Pepper were left gaping.

Coulson didn't even flinch. He was used to it by now. After working with Su Xiuyu for so many years, it wasn't until last year that he even discovered the guy could fly. And not just fly—he moved so fast even missiles couldn't keep up.

When Nick Fury had met Su Xiuyu a decade ago, the guy had said one thing bluntly:

"I'm strong enough to look down on Earth."

And turns out... he wasn't lying.

"Jarvis, did that guy just fly away?"

"Yes, sir. Estimated speed—Mach 10. That's the upper limit of my current sensors."

Tony's eyes widened. "Alright, we're upgrading your detection system as soon as we get back."

"Much appreciated, sir."

Tony turned back to Pepper. "Okay. Now start from the top. Who are those two?"

Pepper exhaled. "The man is Uchiha Xiuyu. I've never met him personally until now, but officially, he's the second-largest shareholder of Stark Industries. During your kidnapping, when the stock price crashed, they kept buying. That's how they secured their spot."

"And the girl?"

"I usually deal with her—Uchiha Chisato. That's the one you called 'lady' earlier."

Tony blinked. "Right. So… why can they fly?"

"I don't know. I've always known the Uchiha Agency had special abilities, but I've never seen it up close."

Pepper paused for a second. "Chisato and I are close, but she's always kept her distance when it comes to that world. She says sometimes… being ordinary is a blessing."

----------------------

"Tony Stark, we've already handled the follow-up. At today's press conference, just say the fire was caused by equipment failure. As for Obadiah, he died in a tragic small plane crash while on vacation. A pity—he left the Stark Group just like that."

"You know how it is. Small planes always have a high accident rate. My favorite NBA star, Kobe, died in one too."

When Coulson said that, his expression turned solemn. But it was clear—he wasn't mourning Obadiah.

Tony glanced at the speech Coulson had handed him, then walked toward the press conference.

The crowd of reporters buzzed with anticipation, lights flashing. But just as Tony reached the podium, something shifted in him. He stared at the pre-written speech in his hand... and crumpled it.

He looked up.

"…Actually, I am Iron Man."

The room exploded. Reporters who'd expected a dry, carefully worded statement were instead handed one of the most explosive soundbites in modern history. Cameras flashed, questions were hurled, and Tony's bold declaration went viral in minutes.

In a single moment, Tony Stark went from being seen as a reckless playboy to becoming the most talked-about man in America. Not even the announcement that Stark Industries was ending its weapons division had made such waves.

After dropping the bomb, Tony casually walked off stage like he hadn't just turned the world upside down.

"Mr. Stark! That wasn't what we agreed on," Coulson called out, rushing after him. "Do you have any idea the chaos this will cause us?"

"That's your problem, not mine." Tony didn't even stop.

Coulson sighed and raised his communicator. "Boss, Stark didn't cooperate."

There was a long pause before the voice on the other end replied.

"…Got it."

The one-eyed man behind the voice—Nick Fury—wasn't unfamiliar with dealing with stubborn men. Howard Stark had been a handful. His son? No different.

Meanwhile, Tony, unbothered, returned to his Malibu seaside villa. But something felt… off.

The lights were off. The place was too quiet.

"Pepper? Jarvis?"

A calm voice responded from the dark.

"You're not the only superhero in the world."

The lights flicked on. Sitting on Tony's sofa was a man with a bald head and a cold, stoic expression.

To be honest, that bald head startled Tony. Anyone would freak out if a stranger just popped up in their house.

"Okay, I don't know who the hell you are, but I'm Tony Stark. Trespassing in my home? You know how many years in jail that can get you? Stark Industries has an entire floor of lawyers just waiting to bury someone like you in paperwork."

Coulson wasn't kidding—Tony was a grade-A smartass who never took anything seriously.

But Nick Fury didn't think for one second about his own approach. Maybe kicking off their first meeting with a mysterious home invasion wasn't the best call. Nobody likes it when someone else tries to act cool in their own house.

Not Tony. Not anyone.

"If you ever change your mind," Fury said, rising, "you can find me through Coulson."

He turned and headed for the door—but it didn't open.

(TL: -100000000 aura 😆)

Tony smirked.

"What, you thought you could break into my house and walk out like nothing happened?"

Turns out, when Fury entered earlier, he'd used an old access code Howard Stark left behind. But after detecting the intrusion, Tony had already rewritten the system.

"Tony," Fury said, trying to regain composure, "your father and I were close. I'm telling you this for your own good—there are some things better left alone."

"Jarvis, check the visitor logs. Do we have any record of this guy?"

"Confirmed," Jarvis replied. "This gentleman is indeed listed as a personal acquaintance of Mr. Howard Stark."

Tony raised a brow but said nothing. He let Fury go.

Before leaving, Fury turned back with a final word of advice.

"If you ever run into trouble, contact me. Or… you can hire the Uchiha Agency. You don't need to be friends with them. Just pay enough, and they'll get the job done."

He paused.

"And be respectful when dealing with the Uchiha Agency. That's a personal recommendation."

Tony watched him leave, frowning. Uchiha Agency, huh? That definitely had something to do with those two people from last night. He remembered what Pepper told him—Uchiha Xiuyu already had a fiancée, but Uchiha Chisato was still devoted to him.

"Man, lucky bastard." As a lifelong womanizer, Tony actually envied Uchiha Xiuyu.

Meanwhile, far away, Su Xiuyu sneezed.

"Someone must be talking shit about me…"

He stroked the fat orange cat in his lap and watched as it opened its mouth—revealing giant, eldritch tentacles that quickly devoured an entire pile of freshly caught fish.

"Thank god I've still got money," Xiuyu muttered. "Otherwise, I seriously couldn't afford to keep feeding you, Gugu."

The "cat" he was petting wasn't a real cat—it was a Primordial Beast he'd picked up during the Kree incident. Despite its terrifying nature, Gugu was weirdly affectionate with him.

Su Xiuyu had never really been a cat person. He liked dogs—loyal, dependable, straightforward. Cats? Too unpredictable, too aloof.

But Gugu was no ordinary cat.

It didn't need to eat often, didn't need a litter box, and could communicate telepathically. Basically, it was the perfect pet. And intelligent, too.

On both sides of him, Mito and Chisato were peeling grapes and feeding him one at a time. Su Xiuyu leaned back, enjoying the pampering.

Lately, life had felt a little too luxurious… almost absurd.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Mito asked, a tinge of jealousy in her voice.

Of course she had every right to be a little upset. She'd always been patient and generous.

Xiuyu smiled, sensing her mood. He gently helped Mito lie back on a nearby recliner, then had Chisato lie down too. After that, he personally started peeling grapes and feeding them.

Mito relaxed under his care, but Chisato looked a little embarrassed.

Not Xiuyu though. These were his women. Of course, he was going to spoil them a bit. He'd already taken so much from them—wasn't it only fair to give back in small ways?

Suddenly, Chisato spoke up, clearly trying to change the subject.

"Brother Xiuyu, Stark Industries invited us to a dinner. They said they want to introduce the second-largest shareholder. Should I accept? If you're not going, I'll let Pepper know."

"Was it Pepper's idea or Tony's?"

"I think it was Tony's. Pepper doesn't usually suggest things like this. Even though she's running Stark Industries now, Tony rarely bothers with company matters."

"Hmm… Let me think about it," Su Xiuyu replied.

"By the way, have either of your brothers sent any updates? They said they were exploring the universe, but it's been what—ten years now?"

Madara and Izuna really were something else. Ten damn years out in the galaxy and not one postcard.
