Chapter 90
“Ah!”
As the two were passionately engaged, an old scream rang out, abruptly interrupting their deep and fervent kiss.
Bo Sijue raised his head with a dark expression, his eyes flashing coldly as he glanced forward. For an instant, he froze in place.
“Why are you two here?”
He frowned and instinctively pulled the young man behind him, assuming a protective stance.
The sharp eyes of the old couple of the Bo family fell on the pair, their wrinkled faces contorted with unusually ugly expressions.
“What were you doing to Luoluo just now, you brat? Though Luoluo is good-looking, you can’t openly act like a gangster!”
Old Madam Bo’s brows furrowed with anger as she stepped forward, pulling Bai Junluo—who was standing behind Bo Sijue—to her side in a protective manner.
Bo Sijue watched his grandmother’s defensive actions, his gaze narrowing slightly. A flicker of incomprehension appeared on his face.
He had initially thought his grandmother was targeting the young man, but now it seemed the person she was aiming her ire at was him.
“Grandma, what’s wrong with you?” he asked.
Bai Junluo, who had been pulled to Old Madam Bo’s side, opened his clear, bright sapphire eyes. A look of confusion crossed his delicate, fair face.
He appeared completely lost in the peculiar atmosphere now surrounding them.
Old Madam Bo tilted her head to look at the young man’s exceptionally well-behaved appearance, and her heart nearly melted.
But the moment her gaze shifted back to Bo Sijue, her expression immediately turned cold.
This stinking grandson of hers! He had just said he had someone he liked, and now he dared to provoke her Luoluo.
She decided she had to enforce the family law on him.
“Luoluo, don’t say a word. I will definitely teach this brat a lesson today for acting like a gangster.”
Old Madam Bo gently patted Bai Junluo’s shoulder, her face softening and her tone filled with comfort.
Then, she turned back to her eldest grandson, her once-kind expression hardening into stern disapproval.
“Bo Sijue, what’s wrong with you?”
“The descendants of our Bo family, both male and female, are all upright people. You were just in a hurry to claim you found someone you liked, and now that you see Luoluo looking so good, you’re tempted to act like a gangster. Do you want to ruin his reputation?”
When Bai Junluo heard her words, he glanced at Bo Sijue in front of him, then at the two elderly people beside him. A glimmer of light flashed in his sapphire eyes as though he understood something.
So, Bo Sijue was the grandson of these elders, and these two were Bo Sijue’s grandparents!
How could it be such a coincidence?
Based on his relationship with Bo Sijue, didn’t that mean these two elders were his future husband’s grandparents?
Thinking of this, Bai Junluo slowly lowered his eyes, a faint blush creeping onto his face. Nervously, he pinched the corners of his clothes with his fingers.
“Grandma, didn’t you want to meet him just now? Now that he’s standing right here, take a good look. Does he meet your requirements for a granddaughter-in-law?”
The corner of Bo Sijue’s lips lifted slightly as his gaze fell on the young man beside him. His cold expression softened involuntarily.
“Wh-what?”
Old Madam Bo’s eyes widened in shock, her mouth hanging open in disbelief.
The man her eldest grandson spoke of was Luoluo?
How could that be possible?
In her imagination, the person who could win over her eldest grandson had to be someone independent, charming in the business world, or skilled in finance and strategy.
No matter how much she thought about it, she never expected her grandson to fall for someone as well-behaved and obedient as Luoluo.
After all, her eldest grandson had always been old-fashioned and never liked cute or sweet things since he was a child.
Old Madam Bo glanced back and forth between Bo Sijue and Bai Junluo for a while. Catching the emotions in their eyes, she coughed a few times, her expression slightly unnatural as she asked, “Are you serious? You’re not lying to me, are you?”
“Do you think I’m a joker?”
Bo Sijue raised his eyebrows, his face carrying an air of authority.
Old Madam Bo glanced at her eldest grandson’s serious expression and shook her head. Even so, her face betrayed her disbelief.
Though she believed him deep down, the suddenness of it all was too much to process.
“In that case, can you at least give him back to me?”
Bo Sijue’s lips curled slightly. Without waiting for her permission, he stepped forward and took Bai Junluo’s hand, gently pulling him back to his side.
“Luoluo…”
Old Madam Bo’s elegant face immediately filled with reluctance as she watched the boy being taken away.
“Grandmother…”
Bai Junluo stood beside Bo Sijue, his hand tightly holding the man’s palm. His voice faltered, no longer as composed as before.
Old Madam Bo looked at the young man’s cautious expression and sighed, her tone full of distress.
“Luoluo! Tell grandma, were you threatened by this brat? Otherwise, with his cold and smelly temper, how could you possibly fall for him?”
Bo Sijue narrowed his eyes slightly when he heard his grandma’s words, his face darkening at her dismissive tone.
He hadn’t expected that in her eyes, he wasn’t good enough for the boy.
“Ah, Grandma, no! No!”
Bai Junluo hurriedly stammered, his cheeks growing redder. “Luoluo… Luoluo likes him too.”
As soon as Bai Junluo said this, his already blushing face turned even redder, as bright and appealing as a ripe apple.
“Yeah, I like him too!”
Old Madam Bo stared at the shy young man in front of her. Clutching her chest, she took several deep breaths to calm herself.
The little cabbage she had just discovered had already been eaten by her own stinky pig!
It was both infuriating and exasperating.
Seeing his grandma so agitated, a trace of worry appeared on Bo Sijue’s usually calm face. “Grandma,” he said gently, “this is between us. Please go back and rest. I’ll take him with me now.”
Without waiting for her response, the man tightened his grip on Bai Junluo’s hand and turned to leave.
