Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 398: Number 1.

He paused a little bit to let what he said sink in. Then he continued solemnly, "My plan is to use the projector on myself. Then I will control my third son to beat her up. She won't be able to fight back during the process. I will be able to have my way."

The more he spoke, the more excited he became. His eyes were bright with anticipation as he pictured what he was saying. This sight was unnerving to others.

Goldwyn said, "If I didn't know any better, I would think you were planning how you would rape her."

Thor glared at him and said, "Maybe I should bring out the energy shield projector again and let you see it up close."

Both Jason and Goldwyn rushed to placate him. They both raised their hands to stop him and said, "You don't need to. We believe you."

Arthur also joined in to placate Thor, but his strategy was to distract Thor. He did this by changing the subject.

He asked Thor, "How did you build the energy projector anyway?"

He asked the question because he wanted to distract Thor, but he was also curious about how the energy projector worked, so he was sincere with his question. Thor readily took the bait and began talking about how he forged the energy projector.

Arthur knew that Thor loved forging and talking about the things that he forged. So he wasn't surprised that Jason took the bait, and he was surprised when Thor began the story from when he thought of the idea and went on to when he acquired the materials to forge it.

What he said wasn't boring at all to the listeners. Arthur and the other two were very interested in how it worked because they all had a working knowledge of forging.

Not everyone in the Blood Skull sect is a master at forging or making arrays. But everyone in the sect that is interested in forging their foundation and can establish their foundation will have a proficient knowledge and level of skill in both aspects.

This is why more than half of the disciples at the third mortal coil on the airship were also listening to what Thor had to say. They wanted to know how to build energy projectors out of golden cores.

At the end of the day, everyone had to agree that what Thor did was overkill. He simply didn't need to use a golden core to build the energy projector.

He could have used energy stones, be they low-grade, mid-grade, or even high-grade stones. These options would be economical and wouldn't be at risk of creating an explosion capable of wiping out hundreds of people at once.

But Thor was highly motivated to use the golden core. He was also rich enough to afford it.

In exchange for his hard work and dedication, he got an artifact that makes it nearly impossible for someone at the third mortal coil to harm him. The energy shield was simply impenetrable to power that is at the maximum limit of a cultivator at the third mortal coil.

Not only is the defense of the energy shield very high, but by their calculations, its durability will also be high. By their estimates, the three peak elders accompanying them on this trip might not be able to break the shield even if they attacked all day.

After Thor explained, Jason said in understanding, "So it is both a golden turtle shield and a bomb in case of an emergency. Truly outstanding work."

Thor became irritated that the matter of the bomb was brought up again. But he didn't argue this time.

He sighed and said, "Forget it. I also have another plan if the energy shield projector doesn't work. I can always use Arthur."

Arthur asked in confusion, "Use me for what?"

Thor replied, "Use you to help me beat her or at least hold back her divine ability so that you can beat her."

Arthur nodded in understanding. Then he asked, "What about her boyfriend? I don't think he will stand back and watch when we start beating his girlfriend."

Thor thought about it and said, "Then you deal with her while I deal with her boyfriend."

Arthur shook his head and lamented, "I have to become a hateful villain who beats lovebirds. The things we do for friendship."

Goldwyn shrugged and said, "I think it fits you. You once bragged that you killed a rank 3 beast by tearing its ass open. This doesn't seem as bad as that. So you should have no problem doing it."

Arthur glared at Thor and said, "You didn't have to tell him how I defeated the bull. You could just have left it at I defeated it, just like I did. It has been 20 years, and he hasn't let it go. I blame you."

Thor asked, "How was I supposed to know that he wouldn't let it go? He didn't want to believe that you killed the bull, so I thought I should explain."

Goldwyn supported Thor by saying, "Don't listen to mister bull butt impaler. Your explanation did more than make me believe Arthur, so your goal was accomplished nicely."

Jason said seriously, "That was impressive, though. The more impressive part is that that was your strength 20 years ago. I can only imagine how powerful you are now."

Goldwyn also stopped laughing and became serious about the matter of Arthur's strength. He said with a serious tone, "Many people want to know how strong you are now. I also want to know. But you never fight with anyone in the sect or participate in any competition."

Arthur smiled and said mysteriously, "Just know that my strength is worthy of being the undisputed number 1 in the entire outer sect."

Thor interjected, "I still don't agree that you should be number 1. I think I am being prejudiced against for using an external item."

Goldwyn shook his head and said, "No one is discriminating against you. Everyone thinks that you're strong. But that lady defeated you easily. That has to say something about your strength."
