Chapter 2

Golderine arrived at school 4 minutes early . As she walked down the hallway she saw Stephanie Abrams and her group of minions , Stacey Cole and Julia Merth .

They are what we call the IT girls ,you know those girls that love to impress their friends with how much money their parents give them , love fashion brands and shop them as if they are going to run out .After all their families are rich , The Abrams , Coles and the Merths . And here in Raven's Peak High School you will get more amazed as the news spread faster than wild fires.It is said that Julia grades are bad and she was once given the idea of doing the deeds with a previous Life Science teacher Mr Smith to get her Life Science grades high but they were caught. It is said it is one of the main reasons that shirty teacher left and was recently replaced by Mrs West.

Oops I forgot to count myself , I am also a little bit rich since I inherited 100 million dollars that my parents left for me and a five room house that have a beautiful garden taken care of my aunt and it have lot of flowers from Roses to lilies and one strange big white,grey and gold flower. I don't know if I should call it a rose or mushroom but it is strange.Aunt says it is rare and could not be found anywhere. It has never bloomed.

But I also don't understand how come my parents had so much money but decided to stay at this town ,in this house,in this neighborhood and my Aunt to choose this high school. If I were my parents I would have chosen an apartment or a house that is a flat and have a balcony .Life would be nice and sweet now. And how they made that 100 million dollars I don't know nothing even Aunt does not know what they did . I wonder if they had business.

Stephanie and her minions love boys, the playboy kind and if you are that boy , and you have money then it is a jackpot to them . The problem is that I'm walking to their direction and I can't really avoid the situation of getting bullied by them , and I want to read a little before a teacher comes in . God I hate my life.

As I try to pass and avoid them Stephanie stops me by pulling me with my hair. Shit that hurts.

"Ouch , Stephanie let go of my hair " I say as I try to remove her hand from my hair . She let it go and hold my face to make me look at her straight at her eyes.

"ohh Scarlet I did see you well ,I thought that your face is covered with mud or dust so I wanted to remove it but it seems that it is not dust or mud , it is a real life situation that needed to be fixed ." Stephanie said so while looking at my face.

"Stephanie can you please let me go ,I truly don't have a time for your everyday same remarks " I said so while looking at her.

"It is not that your face is ugly ,it is that you contain the curse after all you are thee Unwanted One . I believe that God did not want you to have parents and took them away . Not even a single person want you in this town and if I were you I would've left this town. " Stacy say that to me while removing Stephanie hand from my face.

She said that so that she can see me weak and breaking down with tears but I will never let them see my tears ,see me weak . I'll rather cry at night when I'm at home . After all I learned to hold my tears from a young age because I did not want the history to repeat it's self . The person who made me cry Mary burned their hands in front of me ,I was 11 years old . So that situation made me to hide my tears from my Aunt and from people who would love to make me weak.

I Just looked at Stacy and smiled

"if I am the cursed one then why are you talking to me , or are you that bored in life that you have time for me ?"

And I received a slap for speaking from Stacy.

"Stacy let go of her anyway even if she moves to another town ,they would still avoid her .Look at you hand I'm sure it have germs .Lets go and wash hands after all you both touched her face .And you Scarlet just because we open our mouths to talk to you it doesn't mean you are special you are not. You are still a low life aphan taken care by your Aunt . If I was her I would take you were you belong , Orphanage rubbish " farm Julia said as she walked past me with Stephanie and Stacy.

Golderine was hurt ,but she held up her head high and did not want to think about what just happened . She kept going until she reached the stairs ,climbed them up her until she reached the second floor . She passed the first and second class . She entered third class and found some of her classmates. They were talking loud but now she has arrived ,they lowered their voices one can say they were talking about her .

Golderine thought that they saw that scene Stephanie caused . She just walked to her seat and table , and took out some of her books to read . Not caring to look at some of her classmates. After all ever she was born nobody ever liked her and it got worse when she started school .

The Mathematics teacher Mr Evan entered the classroom and started teaching , Stephanie and her minions entered the class late. They got shouted and were told to sit down . Mr Evan continued with classes and kept asking questions and avoided Golderine even though nobody raised hand, only Golderine raised hand still he avoided her . Until she gave up in raising hand and Mr Evan chose her because he thought that she is not know answer but she nailed that answer . In the end of the classroom Mr Evan was left defeated by Golderine.

During lunch time , Golderine took her backpack and walked at the back of the school and sat down on the bench under the tree. She took out her lunch and started to eat in peace . Until she felt like someone was looking at her but when she turned her head she did not see anyone .The was someone there ,but it is just that she did not see anything.

Lunch Break was over and classes continued until school was over. Golderine took her backpack and left. She went to buy pizza that was sold by the old woman who was a street vendor Shileh . The old woman was a pizza seller . She was kind and Golderine ended up being her top number one customer.

" Granny Shileh , I want to buy 1 box of pizza with no mushrooms on it please " I said as I smiled .

"Gold child , you should it more vegetables so that you can become more healthy and fit , look at you you are becoming more skinny." Granny said so while she looks at her from the top to bottom of her body while spinning her.

"Granny how can one become thick and fit, if one is not happy. Besides I hate vegetables on pizza please put more cheese " I said while looking at her making pizza for me and putting it inside the oven .

"You dear child ,you are unhappy because you dwell so much on what you are feeling and what is happening around you. Honestly you look lost . You should find your self ,not who you are but what you are .And you can only find out what you are by coming to accept your self ,what happened and know how it happened. No one will feel pity for you or smooth your wounds , only you can. Time heals all the wounds if you are not dwelling too much on them , also it moves fast . Focus on what you have, not what you don't have to to attract more. No one want to come near a person who is always on pain it drains their energy .Pain pushes and happiness attracts. Try to be happy child little things matters and can create happiness , you are too young to understand lot of things. You are also unique ,your parth of life is different from others" she said as she looked at me with smile and gave me my pizza after she putted it inside the box.

"Thank you for your wise words old lady , I won't forget them. And thank you for this pizza I will make sure that I will enjoy it with Mary. " I said so while taking pizza from her hands

"Have a great afternoon Granny Shileh, see you tomorrow "I said my goodbyes.

"See you tomorrow child ." She said as she waved her hand at me .

Those words she said to me they played inside my mind and heart . I felt as if she was talking to my heart and soul instead of me. But what can I say old people are wiser and they know how to make people feel better .
