Modern World Warlock

Chapter 415: Double Date

A few hours before Trinity sent her warning notification to Camille, both Zac and Victoria invited the warrior Soren to accompany them to a shopping center.

At first, the couple hadn't planned on inviting anyone else to their date. However, Victoria's womanly intuition made her notice that June, the ex-detective, had been staring at the warrior inside the training room for quite a while.

June Lockhart had always been serious and professional, and she adhered to an admirable moral code, even after being betrayed by her own boss in the past.

Her strict demeanor made June believe that finding a romantic partner for her would be near impossible. She didn't know what it meant to be in love with someone, as she had never felt that way towards anyone.

While the ex-detective had met plenty of handsome men after joining the Jade Dragons, she didn't feel any kind of romantic attraction towards them.

Victoria, who was looking at June's strange demeanor when watching the warrior, recalled a conversation they had right after she and Zac made their relationship public.

June started by congratulating Victoria, prompting her to ask the ex-detective if she had any tips or recommendations for dates, and June revealed that she had never had a boyfriend.

Victoria was taken aback for a brief second, as she believed that June was beautiful and strong, making her inquire about her type of men.

"My type?" June pondered for a few seconds in silence. "They must be strong, tall, and ummm- very muscular…" she continued, slightly embarrassed.

Back then, Victoria thought that the ex-detective was kind of adorable with her cheeks flushed, though she understood that there wasn't anyone from the Jade Dragons who matched her description.

However, now that she was looking at June watching the warrior with admiration, she came up with an idea and asked Zac to have a double date with both June and Soren.

The redhead doubted that June would accept, as he knew that the woman didn't particularly enjoy doing leisure activities, but his girlfriend was utterly confident that they would accept.

"It'll be fine. You go ask the big guy, I'll talk to June," Victoria said with a mischievous smile.

After reluctantly agreeing, Zac entered the training room where Soren was practicing and asked him if he was interested in going out on a double date, using the excuse that he could get to know their world a little more.

Soren was confused about the concept of a double date, but when Zac told him that June would be accompanying them, the warrior gazed at the ex-detective outside the training room and shyly diverted his eyes somewhere else.

'No way… Tori was right!' Zac thought, as he had never seen a more obvious display of attraction.

A few hours later, the four of them were taken to a large, open shopping center, where it was inevitable for Soren to catch people's attention, as he was much taller and bigger than the average man.

Fortunately, Camille had already ordered clothing to be made for Soren, considering it would be hard to find anything that fit him, so he wore a tailored buttoned shirt that looked slightly too tight around his muscles.

During their outing, the group went to a bakery, where each of the couples shared a dessert. They also went into a clothing shop, and after Victoria had tried numerous outfits in front of Zac, she convinced June to do the same.

It took a few minutes for the girls to emerge in their new outfits, and Soren started to wonder if they were okay, taking a few steps towards the changing room only to be stopped by Zac. "Do NOT open the curtain, dude… For our sake," he said to the warrior.

Zac's brain was utterly corrupted by the images of his girlfriend trying on different outfits, and before his imagination could run wilder, the two girls opened the curtain.

When Soren gazed at June wearing an elegant and somewhat revealing cocktail dress, the massive and intimidating warrior got as red as a tomato, unable to look away as if he had been hypnotized.

"H-How do I look?" June asked, flushing and showing the open back of her dress, which made Soren's nose bleed.

June was extremely fit for a woman her age, as she needed to be in tip-top shape to be able to keep up with the magical beings from the Jade Dragons, and her toned back and arms only attracted the warrior more.

Victoria proudly chuckled after seeing their reactions, and feeling like she had accomplished her mission, the group was ready to continue their date for a little longer.

After reaching a plaza with numerous food stalls, Soren bought himself a hot dog from a stand that allured him with the smell, which he ate in one bite, prompting him to buy three more.

'He eats so much…' June pondered, though she didn't dislike it. In fact, she thought it was attractive.

As the group took a small break, their date was interrupted by Camille's alarm, warning them that Trinity's location had been leaked and that Nekxis would go after her.

The message stated that anyone close to the address should help safely extract the hacker, and when they checked the location, it turned out their group was the closest to Trinity's apartment.

All it took was one serious message for June to completely change her demeanor, going into full work mode and promptly wrapping up the date, as they couldn't waste any time.

Victoria was on the managing side of the Jade Dragons, and knowing that she would only hinder the rescue, she gave Zac a kiss for good luck and returned to the Jade Castle, allowing Zac, June, and Soren to rush towards the marked location on their map.

They had the option to take a cab, but the traffic in the city was at its peak, so it was much faster for them to run.

While June was quite fast, she couldn't keep up with Soren's long strides, so the warrior carried her on her back without any effort and kept running, following closely behind Zac.
