Chapter 398: Cosplayers
Early in the morning of the following day, Dante and his group walked to a plateau located a few miles away from Yaga's home, where a helicopter was ready to pick them up.
The witch accompanied them after Megan invited her to come along, and she made it clear that she was only following them because Dante was there. Otherwise, she wouldn't have even talked to the trio.
Dante still had dozens of questions, but now that Yaga had joined them, he wasn't in a rush to get any answers and simply prepared himself for the 12+ hour flight back home.

During the few days that Dante was absent from Novis, the capital of Novaria, the "documentary" of the necropolis' incident had become viral in the world.
Some people praised the film for its effects and originality, as there weren't many movies that showed the action from a first-person perspective.
On the other hand, there were people who believed that the film was an insult to the victims of the terrorist attack, saying that the director had turned a serious incident into an entertaining event.
Even when the movie stated that all images depicted were real, the audience took it as satire, with some people thinking that the movie was a comedy. A parody of the superhero movies that had been coming out for years.
Tommy, Lina, and Jake, the three teenagers who had been saved by Dante and his group, were coming out of the theatre after watching the film, and since they were part of the few people that knew about everything that happened at Limsa, they seemed to take the movie more seriously than the rest of the audience.
"Big-bro Dante looked cool as always… Though I feel kinda sad after watching that," Jake commented.
The fight scenes with Dante looked flashy and fierce, but knowing that everything in the film wasn't an act made it quite bitter to watch.
The teenagers watched the movie at a large theater in a popular area of Novis, where people could be seen wearing costumes daily.
As they walked through the bustling streets, they saw people cosplaying as Dante and Netherius, which made them slightly grimace. However, near them, there was another group of cosplayers wearing outfits that they had never seen before.
There was a woman with bronze skin, long white hair, and pointy ears, wearing a cream-colored dress, and holding an old tome in her hands.
A tall man who seemed to be over two meters tall, wearing a harness with a large shoulder pad with fur lining, holding a massive battleaxe over his shoulder.
The third man wore a black hood with a facemask, leaving only his eyes visible to the others. Still, his black leather outfit seemed to be professionally made, and the two daggers hanging on his waist complemented the rogue-ish look.
The last man in the group had bright blond hair, and he wore a golden, heavy armor that looked almost too uncomfortable to move in. Moreover, he was carrying a white sword on his back that seemed to produce a faint light.
The teenagers watched the group from afar, prompting Tommy to ask if they knew the characters they were cosplaying as, but neither Jake nor Lina had a clue.
"Their outfits look so well-made. I don't know what show those characters are from, but they look pretty cool…" Lina commented.
While they continued to gaze and compliment the outfits, they noticed that the group of cosplayers seemed to be lost, as they were confusedly looking around and trying to speak to other passersby.
"Are they lost?" Jake pondered aloud.
"Maybe they are tourists? Let's help them out…" Lina replied.
When the three teenagers approached the group of cosplayers, they heard them talk in a language that they didn't recognize, which worried them since they wouldn't be able to help them out if they couldn't understand each other.
"Excuse me, are you guys lost? Do you need directions?" Jake asked the group, prompting them to gaze at the teenager, who was slightly intimidated.
The group of "cosplayers" shared looks with each other and calmly spoke in their language, except when the man in the white armor talked, which seemed to annoy the rest of the group.
"Ermm, sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt…" Jake said with an awkward tone.
"I like your outfits, though!" He continued, making the moment even more uncomfortable as he wished for the earth to swallow him.
The group stared at the teenagers with serious expressions, silently scanning their bodies as Jake waved goodbye to them, feeling a bit disappointed with his interaction with those he believed to be tourists.
"Umm, maybe we should just leave them alone…" Tommy commented, unnerved by their gazes.
"You…" The bronze-skinned woman spoke up, catching the attention of the teenagers, who were already leaving them behind.
"Y-Yes?" Jake stammered.
Suddenly, the woman opened her hand and placed it around her own neck, producing a faint light that made the teenagers panic for a brief moment, as they could tell that the woman was casting magic.
Seeing hundreds of people passing by the area, Jake urged the woman to stop with his hands, then pointed at an alley on the side of the street, where she could use magic without witnesses.
The foreigners seemed to understand Jake's hand signs and followed the teenagers into the alley.
"Are these guys with the Jade Dragons…?" Tommy asked his friends, whispering his question, even though the others couldn't understand him.
"I've never seen them before," Lina replied.
As they walked to the alley, Jake pulled out his phone from his pocket and sent a location pin to Camille. Just in case their interaction went south, the Jade Dragons would at least know where to start looking for them.
When everyone walked into the alley, the woman cast her magic again by placing her hand on her own neck. "You… Smell like Dante," she said, making all of the teenagers freeze in shock.
"Take us to him…" she continued, and the teenagers were now wondering what to say to the mysterious woman with pointy ears.
