Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Holding an AK-47, I Am the Pyro Archon!
"Fire element?"
Keqing's gaze shifted to the strange object in Kanzaki Yuzuki's hand.
"Could it be that you triggered an Overload reaction after encountering a Pyro Slime? Maybe that's what caused the explosion... though I don't sense any lingering elemental energy."
She sighed, crossing her arms.
"Anyway, congratulations... but you can't stay here anymore."
"I'm going to report this to the Qianyan Army. We'll need to expand the patrol range. Seriously... did they miss this area during yesterday's monster sweep?"
"How careless! Just in case, we'll push the patrols ten kilometers further tonight to clear out any remaining monsters or Treasure Hoarders."
"I'll also have to help you rebuild your house and reinforce the seals around the Chasm... Ugh…"
"If this keeps up, I won't have time to finish everything!" Keqing muttered, gripping a scroll in frustration.
"Kanzaki, you'd better come with me. It's not safe here anymore."
Kanzaki admired her determination, but he couldn't help feeling sorry for her workload.
Still... no matter how much he respected Keqing's dedication, joining her in her endless grind to achieve human governance?
Yeah... that wasn't for him.
When Kanzaki noticed Keqing's meticulous plan extending weeks into the future, he quickly patted her shoulder.
"Hold on, why don't we head up first and talk this over?"
Keqing blinked in surprise, then suddenly looked guilty.
"Ah... Sorry, Kanzaki. I must've slipped into 'work mode' again."
Kanzaki chuckled.
"Keqing never leaves work mode."
Keqing sighed.
"There's just so much to do... I need to inspect every aspect of Liyue Port personally. It's all part of our plan for human governance."
"You said it yourself — practice is the only way to test truth. Slogans alone won't build a thriving nation."
"I still need to compile feedback from the people, summarize a new governance plan, and submit it to the Exuvia for Rex Lapis' review this year…"
Keqing trailed off as she noticed Kanzaki's amused expression. Her face reddened in embarrassment.
"...Sorry. I'm rambling again, aren't I?"
"It's fine," Kanzaki said with a smile. "Let's just get out of here first."
With a slight bend of his knees, Kanzaki leapt upward. Using his newfound strength, he propelled himself out of the crater in one powerful jump.
While Steve's in-game jumps seemed modest, Kanzaki knew Steve's real power was far greater.
And as for fall damage?
Steve's legendary resilience made injuries meaningless — as long as Kanzaki stayed well-fed, he'd recover from almost anything short of instant death.
With Feather Falling later... falling from Teyvat's skies would be nothing more than a thrill ride.
Still, Kanzaki thought, I'd better be careful in the MC world. Different rules…
In a flash of lightning, Keqing appeared beside him, impressed.
"Wow... your explosive strength is incredible."
Kanzaki grinned, spreading his hands.
"So... now do you believe I made that crater with just raw strength?"
Keqing chuckled behind her hand.
"Nice joke, Kanzaki. But we've got work to do — let's go meet Ganyu at the Chasm entrance."
Kanzaki had expected Keqing to brush off his claim, so he didn't argue. Instead, curiosity struck him.
"Ganyu's here too? Haven't seen her in a while."
"Of course," Keqing nodded. "As Qixing's secretary, Ganyu handles so many matters herself."
Her tone softened with admiration.
"If only Ganyu could understand human governance like you do… but considering she once fought alongside Morax during the Archon War, I can't really blame her."
Kanzaki gave a casual shrug.
From the corner of his eye, he spotted his floating wood blocks and began packing them into his inventory.
Seventy or eighty tons of timber disappearing into his backpack — yet he barely felt the weight.
Outrageous.
Kanzaki figured he'd build a crafting table and wooden tools once he found a new place to settle.
As for the Monster Hunter achievement?
He'd grind it during his next mining trip.
After all, first rule of Minecraft survival:
If you want to get rich, plant trees and dig deep.
During his year of exploration, Kanzaki had come across a village near a mountain range filled with rich ore deposits.
Even better — that village had a functioning furnace right next to a lava pool.
Free smelting without wasting wood or coal? Jackpot.
Wood had been painfully hard to gather. After a year of tree-chopping, Kanzaki knew better than to waste it.
His current base? A villager's house.
Unfortunately, that villager had Steve's insane physique too — Kanzaki couldn't do a thing about him.
But now that he had Steve's strength…
The moment Kanzaki returned, his first task would be crafting a wooden sword.
Then? Chop down that villager and claim the bed as his own.
His past self couldn't even take down a sheep for wool.
This time? Revenge was inevitable.
"Kanzaki!"
Keqing's frustrated voice snapped him back to reality.
"You've been zoning out — what's on your mind?"
"Sorry," Kanzaki said sheepishly. "Just thinking about some... unfinished business."
Keqing sighed, clearly exasperated.
"Look... your home is destroyed. Instead of staying here, why not just come back to Liyue Port with me?"
She crossed her arms.
"I know you always refuse, but things are different now. You've got a Vision, right?"
"If you can use elemental power, you can teleport using waypoints. It's quick — you'll reach Liyue Port in seconds."
"And besides… if you're in Liyue Port, I can consult you anytime... I mean — uh..."
Keqing faltered, stumbling over her words.
"I-I mean, life's just better in Liyue Port! Safer, more convenient... You've been roughing it in the wilderness every day, and it's dangerous out here."
"You've never really experienced Teyvat's culture, have you? Liyue's the most prosperous trade hub — you'll see wonders from every nation!"
"And don't worry about lodging. I've got spare properties in the city. After all the help you've given me, it's the least I can do."
"Oh! And the Rite of Parting is coming soon — you should really see our festival!"
"Plus... there's plenty of great food! Wanmin Restaurant, Xinyue Kiosk..."
Keqing kept talking, trying to win him over.
For the first time, Kanzaki actually considered it.
After a year of endless chopping, mining, and struggling to survive...
In this unfamiliar world, Keqing and Ganyu were the only two people who truly cared about him.
And seeing Keqing rambling about dishes now...
He couldn't say no.
Kanzaki smiled faintly and spoke softly:
"Alright…"
"I also recommend the Golden Shrimp Balls from Wangshu Inn — oh! Wait, what did you just say?"
Keqing's eyes widened in disbelief.
Kanzaki chuckled and playfully tugged on her cat-ear-shaped hair buns.
"I said... I'll go to Liyue Port with you."
"YES!!"
