"Midnight, what kind of outfit is this?"

"As expected of an 18+ hero!"

"Praise!"

Kirishima Eijiro, Kaminari Denki, Mineta Minoru, and a group of other male students whispered amongst themselves, eyes wide with amazement.

"Silence! The contestant representative will now take the oath!"

Completely oblivious to how provocative her outfit was, Midnight lashed her whip hard against the floor of the podium, producing a sharp *snap*. She then pointed it toward Class 1-A.

"Contestant representative: Class 1-A, Momo Yaoyorozu!"

"Me?"

Momo pointed to herself in disbelief.

She had assumed that after the USJ incident, Itadori was the strongest in the class and the most suitable person to represent them.

What Momo didn't know was that not long ago, Itadori had once again violated the *Quirk Management Law* and nearly got into a fight with Hawks, the No. 3 Pro Hero.

Originally, the faculty had considered asking him to make the declaration, but with the Hero Association's prosecutor present, the school decided it was safer to let Momo, the top-ranked student in their class, handle it.

"I don't like standing on stage and pretending to be an idiot." Itadori said casually.

Rolling her eyes at him, Momo quickly stepped onto the stage and began delivering an exemplary oath in her refined, aristocratic tone.

As expected of the class representative.

"Tch, what a boring speech." Bakugo muttered, scuffing the ground with his shoe in irritation.

Midoriya, standing nearby, secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

'Thank goodness it's Momo giving the oath. If it had been Bakugo, who knows what would have happened...' He thought.

"Alright, let's get started!"

Midnight, seemingly unimpressed with Momo's formal declaration, smirked mischievously. She pointed her whip toward the big screen behind her.

"The first event is a **4-kilometer obstacle race**!"

It sounded straightforward, but everyone knew better than to relax—UA's tests were never easy. Midnight began explaining the rules:

- Contestants could use their quirks freely.

- Leaving the track was prohibited.

- However, attacking other contestants with quirks was strictly forbidden.

The moment she finished explaining, several students—including Todoroki Shoto, Yoarashi Inasa, and others from Class 1-B—stole glances at Itadori.

They couldn't forget the overwhelming strength he had displayed during the recommendation exams.

"If I want first place, I'll just knock out everyone else." Bakugo muttered to himself, already brimming with confidence.

As Midnight signaled everyone to line up at the starting point, students scrambled to secure better positions.

Itadori, however, calmly strolled to the back of the group, choosing the least crowded spot.

"Hey, aren't you going to move forward?" Midnight called out, puzzled.

Itadori replied coolly, "Keep those filthy hands to yourself, Midnight."

His words left Midnight momentarily stunned. His nonchalant attitude was infuriating yet oddly captivating.

Before she could respond, the countdown lights began blinking.

**3… 2… 1…**

The instant the final light illuminated, the students surged forward, creating immediate chaos at the narrow entrance to the track.

"The first screening has begun." Aizawa observed from the commentary booth, his voice low and analytical.

Todoroki wasted no time activating his ice quirk, freezing the ground beneath the feet of those near him and breaking away from the pack.

"I won't lose this time, Itadori!" Todoroki muttered under his breath, recalling his earlier defeat.

Unexpectedly, the first person to avoid Todoroki's ice and catch up was Momo.

"Hahaha! I've seen that trick too many times!"

Yoarashi Inasa, using his whirlwind to propel himself forward, sped past the crowd overhead.

"Recommended students are always tough to deal with. But where's Itadori?" Todoroki wondered, glancing back.

The frozen crowd behind him was slowly breaking free, with students like Bakugo and Iida Tenya finally pushing through. However, Itadori was still nowhere to be seen.

---

Midnight raised an eyebrow as she scanned the rear of the track. To her surprise, the spot where Itadori had been standing moments ago was now empty.

"What? He was just there... How could he vanish like that?"

"AHHH!"

Suddenly, screams erupted from the middle of the track.

Students fell like dominoes as if struck by an invisible force. Itadori appeared, stepping casually on their backs as he moved forward.

"What the...?! What just happened!?" Present Mic yelled into the microphone, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Onlookers were equally stunned.

"This isn't just a chain reaction." Aizawa muttered.

---

Meanwhile, Todoroki and Yoarashi were locked in their own battle near the front. Robots—an obstacle designed to impede the contestants—closed in on them.

"I'm not letting you win, whirlwind bastard!" Todoroki declared, freezing the nearest machines in his path.

Yoarashi laughed, "You can try!"

As chaos erupted across the track, Itadori continued his leisurely pace, a faint smirk on his lips.

"If they can't figure it out, it's not cheating." He murmured.

At this moment, a gloomy voice reached Itadori's ears.

Turning slightly, he saw a blue-haired figure with a face as grim as his aura—a person whose dark temperament reminded one of villains like Shigaraki Tomura.

"So, you were the one who caused that scene just now? That was excessive. Not only did you knock so many people out of the way in one go, but you also broke the rules, didn't you?"

The blue-haired student continued his tirade, his tone dripping with disapproval.

Itadori turned around and resumed walking, unwilling to waste his time on meaningless arguments.

Seeing this, the gloomy boy frowned, confusion clouding his expression.

'Did he figure out my quirk?'

'Or is he just indifferent?'

As Itadori navigated through the crowded track, stepping past competitors sprawled on the ground, he spotted familiar faces like Ochako Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya. Both were struggling at the back of Class A—either because their quirks weren't suited for this event or because they hesitated to use them.

Far ahead of them, Itadori could already make out competitors almost a mile ahead.

Mineta, in a desperate attempt to sabotage others, had been aiming his attack at the girls, but his plans were thwarted when a heavy iron fist sent him tumbling across the ground in a series of painful rolls.

'Target...detected.'

A grating mechanical voice sounded from above.

Todoroki looked up, his gaze narrowing. Dozens of dark green, four-legged combat robots of varying sizes were zeroing in on him, their infrared cameras locking onto their targets like predators about to strike.

"I'm moving ahead! Boom!"

Suddenly, Inasa soared past them, carried by a whirlwind he had summoned.

"Flying types really have it easy!" Someone muttered in frustration.

Meanwhile, Present Mic's enthusiastic voice blared over the speakers, narrating the chaos, "Ohhhhh! Look at that! The first place has changed hands! While Todoroki was stalled by the robots, Inasa took the lead!"

Todoroki's face darkened further as he noticed the shift in rankings. His eyes gleamed with cold determination. With a swift motion, he froze the robots blocking his path, immobilizing them completely, and sprinted forward without hesitation.

"If only these obstacles were stronger." Todoroki muttered to himself, his voice dripping with bitterness, "After all... that bastard of a father is watching."

The other students attempted to capitalize on Todoroki's handiwork, rushing to move past the frozen robots.

But to their dismay, the robots shattered into pieces moments after Todoroki passed through. Their collapsed remains created an even larger barrier, forcing the remaining students to fend off an increasing swarm of combat robots now converging on the track.

"Move it, you whirlwind jerk!"

"Hey, two-faced freak! Watch where you're going!"

"My tail can easily dodge these obstacles!"

"Shadow, block that!"

The chaos intensified as students pushed their quirks to the limit, vying to stay in the race despite the ever-growing number of obstacles threatening to crush their chances.
