MHA: Hands on, Quirks Up!

Chapter 32: Chapter 13: Part 1

"You are here?" Tomura twitched, his head jerking sideways like a broken marionette. His fingers dragged jagged lines across his neck as he stared at me. "Are you one of All Might's disciples or something?" He giggled, the sound sharp and wrong. "Nah, that doesn't matter. I'm going to enjoy turning you to dust."

Pfft. The loser must've rehearsed that line in front of a mirror like some high school drama reject. Maybe even whispered it into his pillow like a bedtime story.

But I didn't respond, my eyes were locked onto the bigger threat.

Nomu.

That hulking, stitched-together freak of nature stood between me and the exit, silent and still. Midoriya and the others were already retreating while carrying Aizawa. The rest of the class watched from the entrance. That meant the spotlight was finally mine, no one left to interfere.

I've got to solo this thing now.

What do I know? It's got some kind of super regeneration and that shock absorption quirk that would let it tank hundreds of full-powered punches from All Might. On top of that, strength and speed enhancements are a given.

My win condition? Survive until All Might gets here. That would be the rational move.

Fuck no.

That's not good enough for me.

Surviving means losing with extra steps. I want to win. I want to tear this thing down and leave nothing but scraps and feathers.

I've got tools. Tomura's Quirk is in my back pocket now. I can rot this monster from the inside out, and I don't have to rely on punches either. I can go for piercing attacks until I slowly lacerate it.

No time to overthink it. Just move.

Black sparks flickered across my skin as I ignited One For All: 10% Full Cowl.

The ground cracked under my feet as I lunged forward. My arms shifted mid-stride, hardening and stretching into twin metallic lances aimed for the beast.

Nomu didn't dodge.

It stood there.

Waiting for me.

Stupid.

I drove both lances straight into its shoulders. The tips buried deep into its flesh. I felt resistance from stabbing into its thick muscle and harder bone.

But it didn't flinch. Not even a grunt.

Its massive hands clamped down on the lances.

Shit.

It yanked me forward like I weighed nothing. Then its other hand curled around my forearm, fingers tightening like a clamp.

I didn't waste the chance.

I reverted my lances into regular hands, and Decay activated once all five fingers touched Nomu's hand.

Good. Now rot.

Cracks slowly spiderwebbed across its hand as the flesh beneath began to crumble, but it was way slower than Tomura's. A vile screech tore from Nomu's throat, like chalk on a blackboard.

That's what I like to hear.

At the same time, I reached in with my Quirk. Dived beneath its skin and pulled at everything there.

But Nomu reeled back and swung at my ribs with its other hand before I could get everything.

The punch hit me like a freight train. Air vanished from my lungs, and my body skipped across the ground before I crashed into a cement slab.

I coughed once.

And grinned.

That was worth it.

Two new quirks pulsed under my skin. Super Speed and Strength Enhancement.

That was six Quirks now.

Six.
