Chapter 90: : The Siege of Chronar Core

📘 Chapter 90

🌌 Scene 1: Return to Earth

The pod landed in the outskirts of Neon District, surrounded by silent structures and broken satellite dishes. When the hatch opened, Zeron stepped out—no longer in the patchwork armor of the weak, but in a shimmering violet exosuit laced with primal energy veins.

He walked slowly, every step pressing weight against the ground. People watched from windows. Cameras flickered. Streetlights blinked.

Zeron was home.

But his home had changed.

Chronar Core, once the Mecha Guild's heart, was now under siege. Government drones floated overhead. Civilians lined up in quarantine zones. Armed forces controlled every street.

A poster read:

"Warning: Unauthorized Mecha operation punishable by death. Protocol A.E. Active."

Zeron clenched his fist.

🧬 Scene 2: Zake's Gamble

Meanwhile, Zake stood at the gates of the Living Archive, a hovering fortress above a dead ocean, held in the sky by quantum locks. Beside him was the decrypted device from the Guild's core memory.

The gate responded.

But inside was not what he expected.

He entered a glass hallway filled with floating lights and holograms. A giant construct—half-human, half-machine—floated in stasis. It opened its eyes as he approached.

"Access Level: Genetic Heir confirmed… You are the anomaly, Zake Patros."

Zake stammered, "Wait—what? I'm not even a Mecha operator!"

"False. Your mind exists in multiple timelines. Your memory mutation grants you administrative override. You are a Chrono-Key."

Zake backed away.

Suddenly, red lights flared.

An ancient defense AI called Sentinel Omega activated. It had been dormant for 10,000 cycles—now it had one task: destroy all intruders.

"Unauthorized anomaly. Begin erasure."

Zake cursed, running through time loops again, triggering memory echoes to escape.

But the Archive was changing. Opening. It had recognized him.

⚔️ Scene 3: Zui's Stand

In Chronar Core, Zui and Veilborn stood atop the Sector Nine tower.

Glaiven, the Mecha Knight sent by the council, stood opposite them, flanked by six drone operators and a genetically fused warbeast.

Glaiven activated his Mecha: Crucible Revenant, a jet-black titan with serrated wings and a cannon forged from dead stars.

Zui whispered, "I can stall him. You go unlock the gate."

Veilborn: "That's suicide."

Zui: "It's necessary."

She stepped forward, her Krono blazing gold and black, forming her newly forged Mecha: Aether Zeal, a slender but deadly creation with dual chrono-blades.

The two titans clashed in the sky. Sparks rained across rooftops. The city screamed as sonic waves rippled through glass and stone.

Zui whispered under her breath:

"I won't let them erase my brother's name."

👁️ Scene 4: Home Isn't Home

Zeron reached his apartment. It was abandoned—lights off, dust floating in the air.

He sat at the dining table where Zake once begged for dessert. Where Zui once danced with music blasting through a broken speaker.

"Gone. They're gone."

A voice emerged from the shadows.

"You shouldn't have come back."

Zeron turned.

It was Ira, his ex-girlfriend—the one who left him when he quit his job.

But now, she wore the Council's enforcer uniform.

"You're marked. You're a target. And the Guild thinks you're a threat to dimensional stability."

Zeron's face hardened. "So you're with them now?"

"You left me for nothing. I joined someone who could win."

She raised her plasma blade.

"Walk away. Before they make me kill you."

💥 Scene 5: The Siege Begins

Above the city, the Council's fleet appeared. A hundred dreadships, orbiting like vultures. Their aim: Destroy all rebel-aligned Mechas. Silence the towers. Collapse the Archive.

Commander Drehn's voice rang over all frequencies:

"Citizens of Chronar. Your city has been compromised by rogue operators. Prepare for termination."

From within Astrael Vortan's cockpit, Zeron connected to the city's Mecha grid. His screen flickered—faces began to appear.

Zui. Zake. Best friend Rye. Rival Vorn. Even Veilborn.

All linked.

"This is your city," Zeron said calmly. "This is our world. If we don't stand, no one will."

He stepped onto the battlefield.

Astrael Vortan awakened fully—for the first time, surrounded by faint purple glow.

He whispered, "No more running."

Then the sky burned.
