Master of none

Chapter 2604: 2604. A Little Stiff

"I know I introduced myself as someone who has gained high elven blood. I may not be a pure high elf as some of my children's children may one day be, however, I can speak to high elven techniques in great depth." Gil spoke calmly but also made sure he locked eyes with every single radiant elf now resting and listening.

The radiant light elves had sat but only five or so had come forth to be closest meaning that these five were the leaders amongst their group. The woman with the seeds seemed to be important to cultivating food, an important representative. It appeared the man who Walker had spoken to first was focused on history making him a record keeper or archivist of some sort. Otherwise, the other three were surely related to magic, relationships, and the last potentially about cultural or even crafting.

It was understandable that they would have important individuals who could learn and bring back information to their home. It was exactly what Walker wished to do. He wanted to send out people who managed to learn and share of the world and bring whatever possible back home to Genesis to improve their lives.

"Now, it may seem forward for me to interject when I am not the primary representative of the elven race, however, quite a few of the elves here would be angry with me if I did not stand forward as a representative." As if to prove this every elf nearby who heard Gil moved uncomfortably. They did look a little angry for a moment hearing Gil act as if he was not important.

The mark that Gil had left on the entirety of the elven race was much greater than he even realized. His adoration for learning about their culture and pursuing archery, even arcane archery in particular had made him well known. Then his pursuit to return the high eleven dagger techniques to the people was beyond anything they as a unified race had expected to experience.

The fact that he had taken months to learn each elemental dagger technique then unified it in to a natural mana dagger technique true to the high elven ways was miraculous. It was something that legends would be better spoken to than a human hero.

Yet, he had also managed to awaken part of an ancient elven magic. A part of their ancestors, their originator. The high eleven bloodline that changed Gil's bloodline and cemented part of him as a historical aspect of the eleven race as a whole.

This was all just pretending his marriage to Alma was not as immense as all this as well. Bringing all this together though? Well, saying anything negative, was not an option when it came to him.

"I have personally learned current eleven techniques, a dagger technique, archery, arcane archery, arrow crafting, and even some thin exploration. I have managed to bring some of these aspects of elven history, culture, and society back to high elven standards and forms."

His presence seemed to grow more pronounced as Gil stood taller. His bow which was permanently slung over his back being more focused on by the radiant light elves.

"He is also bonded with me and one of the people who freed me from entrapment and slumber." The sudden force of wind mana around was Zephyr's arrival. She had seen this opportunity as one to bring her back from her personal work with the spirit race.

While Zephyr held the title as one of the world elemental spirits, she was incredibly important to the spirit race. She had guided the birth of new spirit race members from the elemental spirits but she had also begun assisting Fleur more and more. Right now, she appeared to stand as someone to enhance Gil's standing while facing a race new to the world and also powerful within their own right.

"This is one of the world elemental spirits. She is Zephyr, the wind elemental spirit and one of the key members of the newly growing spirit race. Please do not confuse her with an elemental race or an elemental spirit. She is vastly different." This was Gil's polite addition making every radiant light elf murmur.

The arrival of spirit race and a known race throughout the world and the elemental planes had been something extremely significant. Some of the spirit race who came to be within the elemental planes had felt a connection and moved toward the world. While they might not share knowledge or even have the same form of sentience just yet, it was a known fact.

"We are very honored to meet two of the highest esteemed members of your race and your alliance. I believe that my people did not fully understand the gravity of who and what we were meeting when the honored true light sage offered us this opportunity." The radiant light elf workman that stood up and began speaking received a small wave from Alma to make sure she sat and remained relaxed.

From the way that the radiant light elves acted, they were wished to standing and speaking more formally. Something that their culture most likely did whenever meeting with elders or important figures.

"Our magic has been derived from an aspect of archery. Allow me to demonstrate." The radiant light elf gathered light in to an arrow. It's dense and radiated various colors, however it also seemed to condense more and more before she lowered the arrow in to her hand.

As the arrow landed in her hand, she held it out to Gil. " The arrow is a form of our magic still present. We do not need a bow any longer making our magic far from archery. We can hand our magically condensed creations over and allow others to use them. Some mages can create shields of light or even armor when necessary. One greater light magician had been creating defensive walls they maintain through meditation for seventy years."

The level of dense light mana was shocking. Gil held it in his hands and knew very well it would be more potent than any arrow he added light mana to. It was even more potent than what other has seen from light mages or what Walker felt he could do with that density and that control.

Making weapons or buffs that were like armor was different than what would normally be expected. What could be said to be easy for how the radiant light elves were acting right now.

"This is very impressive. I would like to know how you managed to go from bows and arrows to purely magical focuses. I know many of the elves have begun looking in to natural mana and nature based magic since we have seen the growth of the world and return of proper mana flow and balance." Gil was oppressed and offered the arrow to Walker who held it and made it dissipate to the shock of the radiant light elves.

"We have history we have discovered from when we believe some eleven groups split off to the elemental planes. We would like to bring you and others to the ruins to explore and see if anything is familiar. We also have written journals and damaged books telling of the high elf knowledge. High elf history as well."

Alma spoke up and showed even more to what there was for many others to learn in terms of the historical aspects. "We would like to hear your history. What you and your people may have recorded after you left the world. Before the bridges were closed and the world slowed. We are in awe of how you have become an entirely different race than what we elves recognize as elves."

This seemed to spark a light in another of the radiant light elves' eyes. He was ready to speak but it appeared many had gotten the urge to ask questions. "It appears that everyone may wish to speak and begin this meeting in a more open method. Walker, could you please use a little of your skills to make more tables and invite some more food to be brought?"

Walker knew that Alma had asked this simply because she was pushing for him to be seen and more active. Obliging her, Walker used earth mana to push up simple condensed earth tables and chairs from the ground. It rumbled the earth slightly but enough to show more of his control over mana and ensure that the radiant light elves could see the mixing of manas in the world as a whole.

The elves who had been constant advisors to Alma moved forward and clearly showed their robes which had been seen with patterns related to their specific roles within the unified elf race. This allowed the radiant light elves to split and begin speaking more comfortably about their own roles. A good idea to start more progressive talks faster than remaining stiff and hoping for a chance to talk.
