She couldn't run, but she couldn't go in either—Yotsuba felt like she was absolutely done for today!

"Shiratori... will handle it." Miku, on the other hand, had full confidence in Hakuto.

Inside the office, Hakuto continued speaking.

"I didn't come here for money, nor to have a casual chat with you, Mr. Maruo."

"What do you mean?"

"My purpose here is to confess something to you, Mr. Maruo…" Hakuto paused and held out his palm. 

"To confess something about me and your daughters."

"At first, I really did take the tutoring job because I needed money. I needed it, and I had the ability to earn it, so I took the job."

As Hakuto said this, the office door clearly made a faint sound. Fortunately, Nakano Maruo's full attention was on him and he didn't notice the door.

"This guy! What do you mean, it was just for money?! Am I really no better than those worldly things?!"

"Calm down! Nino, calm down! If you barge in now, it'll be a disaster!"

"Calm down, Nino!"

Hakuto continued.

"Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, Itsuki…" As he spoke, he waved his five fingers slightly, which immediately gave Nakano Maruo a bad feeling.

"I just think that if you get involved with a girl for some reason, but then try to avoid taking responsibility in the end, that's far too immature…"

"So you're saying this is the reason you've been toying with my daughters' feelings?"

The next second, the five sisters at the door reflexively prepared to flee. Meanwhile, Nakano Maruo's eyes widened in shock, clearly in disbelief.

Nakano Maruo couldn't help but laugh in frustration. He sat in his chair, staring at Hakuto across from him, not knowing what to say.

"Mr. Shiratori, do you think it's funny to joke with me like this?"

"I'm not joking. You can call any one of them and ask them yourself."

"They all know about each other's relationship with you?"

"They do…"

Nakano Maruo actually laughed aloud, not knowing if it was out of speechlessness or sheer disbelief at what Hakuto had just told him.

Outside the office, the five sisters glanced at each other, not knowing what to do after hearing the conversation.

"If I beg Mr. Shiratori, maybe he won't get mad at me..." In other words, Yotsuba was ready to bolt.

Anyone could tell that Nakano Maruo was really angry now. If he found out that what Hakuto said was true, then this would be a serious issue.

"Yotsuba, you could try, but even if you manage to avoid it for a while, you won't be able to run forever…"

"Since we have to face it sooner or later, we might as well just come clean with Dad now."

"Do you think Dad will accept it?"

"Absolutely not!" Ichika said firmly. "At least not right now!"

Nino added, "Not unless Shiratori reveals his background first…"

"What Dad really cares about is our happiness. If he's convinced Shiratori can make the five of us happy, then he won't oppose it too strongly."

"That's easy for you to say…" Itsuki shook her head helplessly. "Not to mention, if Dad finds out about Tomori-senpai and Sora-senpai, he'll definitely oppose it…"

"Which is why we're not bringing up any of that yet. Just tell him what we can say, and be honest."

But just as the five sisters were in a heated discussion, Ichika's phone suddenly rang.

All five froze. Ichika subconsciously swallowed and took out her phone.

"It's from Dad…"

She hesitated for a moment, then under the gaze of the other four, answered the call and turned on the speakerphone.

"Hello, Ichika."

"What is it, Dad?"

"Hm?" Nakano Maruo frowned slightly. He could clearly tell that Ichika was suppressing her voice, but didn't comment on it.

"Are all five of you together right now?"

"Um… Nino and the others are with me…"

"Perfect. Come to the hospital. I have something to ask all of you."

Ichika didn't answer immediately. She glanced at the four beside her.

The five exchanged looks, then all nodded.

"It's something we'll have to face eventually. We might as well be honest with Dad now."
