Marvel Transmigration: I Possessed Iron Man

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: The Price of Power

"Peter, that was from freshman year."

"Uh… alright… well, it was still amazing."

"What about me? Don't you have anything you want to say to me?"

"You'll be a superstar one day." Peter Parker couldn't help but recall the study materials he had tucked away on his computer, those featuring famous Western actresses.

Whenever he thought of Mary Jane late at night, he would pull them out and study intently, practicing the ancient art of ambidextrous combat.

It was just a shame how much tissue paper it wasted.

"You know… you're actually taller than you look…" Mary Jane kept walking closer until they were practically nose to nose.

"I slouch," Peter admitted as he straightened his posture.

"Then stop slouching."

Just as their eyes met and the distance between their lips vanished, a loud voice interrupted.

"You dirty brat, get your butt home!"

"Oh… sorry…"

"I gotta go…"

"See you tomorrow…"

"See you tomorrow…"

"Oh, Victor, look at what you've done!"

Norman Osborn was jolted awake early in the morning by a sharp pain in his lower back. Victor was crawling across the floor, and beneath him lay the lifeless body of Dr. Stromm.

"Ugh…"

Victor stretched and sat up, feeling more refreshed than ever.

"Victor!"

"What's the matter, dear brother Norman?" Victor turned his head. Norman Osborn, also completely naked, glared at him with eyes full of grief and disbelief.

"You killed someone!"

"The Human Physical Enhancer doesn't just boost strength—it amplifies desire. And under the influence of that desire, you committed such a savage act!" Norman's voice trembled with regret.

"I was a fool! Truly! I never should've brought you here. If I hadn't, my trusted assistant Dr. Stromm wouldn't be lying dead on the floor! If Dr. Stromm were still alive, our research on the Human Physical Enhancer could've continued and eliminated this danger once and for all!"

"Alright, Norman, what's done is done." Victor had composed himself, his tone now calm and determined.

"We need to forget the past, let go of regret, and move forward together."

"Don't forget who's really responsible for all this!"

"It was Tony Stark!"

"That's right! The real culprit behind everything… that arrogant little bastard Tony Stark. I'm going to make him beg for death!" Victor's face contorted with rage.

"I'll repay today's humiliation tenfold!" Norman Osborn cast a sorrowful glance at Dr. Stromm, whose lifeless eyes stared blankly at the ceiling.

"Old friend, rest in peace. I'll make sure Tony joins you soon… and you can personally make him suffer in hell."

"What are you going to do next?"

"I'll wipe out everyone at Stark Industries who opposes me. I'll reinstate my loyal people in key positions… then strike Tony Stark down in one decisive blow and finally take over Stark Industries." Victor admired his now-powerful physique.

"Stark Industries should've been mine from the beginning. And when I take it, I'll even change its name. From now on, it'll be called the Victor Group."

"When will you make your move?"

"Today."

"Boss, someone's here to see you downstairs!" Nova had changed into a sky-blue professional outfit today, her long, slender legs accentuated perfectly.

"Oh? Who is it?" Aetheris was scrolling through the news on his phone, scanning for anything noteworthy happening around the world.

"It's Dr. Yinsen—just back from vacation."

"Quick! Bring him up!" Aetheris's eyes lit up with joy. This man was the key researcher for the Arc Reactor project—his trusted old friend, the only one who could help solve his energy crisis.

After all, he was just Stark… nothing more.

In this universe, the number of people capable of building an Arc Reactor was extremely limited.

One was the old man who designed the original blueprint—Howard Stark. Another was his partner, Anton Vanko.

And then there was Aetheris himself… but without real talent, he didn't count.

The last was the brilliant assistant, Dr. Yinsen.

Anton Vanko was out of the question. Ever since Aetheris's old man had kicked him out of Stark Industries, Anton had become a sworn enemy.

Would you really expect your enemy to help you with advanced technology? Would you even dare to use what he developed?

That was one of Aetheris's father's greatest mistakes. The Arc Reactor had originally been a joint project between him and Anton, but when Anton wanted to commercialize it, Howard Stark kicked him out with nothing.

Left with nothing—completely stripped clean.

Aetheris remembered well… Anton Vanko had died poor and sick, abandoned in the frigid Russian tundra.

If Anton's son, Big Ivan, didn't hate the Stark family to his bones… that would be the real miracle.

Chances were, the entire Vanko family wanted him dead.

Right now, the only person Aetheris could rely on was Yinsen.

Before long, the office door opened, and in walked Dr. Yinsen, his signature balding head gleaming under the light, a pair of black-rimmed glasses perched on his nose.

"Welcome back, my old friend!" Aetheris greeted him with a broad, warm hug.
