Marvel: The Tokyo Avengers

Previously:

The chain-scythe-wielding assassin Bloodveil ambushed the Avengers, drawing out emotional fractures between Heartlight, Starwave, and Xylo. After retreating into the shadows, Bloodveil made a chilling promise:

"Lovers die first."

Now, the team prepares for round two… but what if not everyone is willing to fight the same way?

[ACT I – Blades in the Wind]

Scene: Rooftop at dawn – Tokyo Avengers Base

The city glows beneath a hazy sunrise.

Starwave leans against a railing, clutching the pulse pendant Heartlight gave her. Xylo stands a few steps behind, silent, the wind tugging at his coat.

XYLO:

"If he gets to you again, I won't let it end like last time."

STARWAVE:

"I didn't ask for a knight."

XYLO (shrugs):

"Good. I'm not one."

She turns and walks past him — brushing her hand along his for half a second.

It's enough to freeze him in place.

[ACT II – Bloodveil Returns]

Scene: Abandoned skyscraper, downtown Tokyo – Afternoon

The team has tracked Bloodveil's energy signature to an unfinished high-rise construction site.

The wind howls between steel beams. Shadows bend unnaturally.

Suddenly — clang!

Chains fly through the air.

Bloodveil drops down mid-spin, scythe crackling with plasma energy. His smile is deranged, eyes glowing red beneath a fractured visor.

BLOODVEIL:

"You brought all your little hearts again. Good. Let's watch them shatter."

The team fans out.

Kuro Ōkami charges head-on in beast form, claws extended

Onmyo Flare tosses a talisman into the air, triggering a barrier seal

Scarlet Onna threads glowing runes into the ground, forming a trap glyph

Starwave and Heartlight exchange a glance… but they're out of sync.

She looks away.

HEARTLIGHT (worried):

"Riko…"

STARWAVE (cold):

"Focus on the fight."

[ACT III – Blood in the Air]

Scene: Battle above the steel beams

Bloodveil begins tearing through the field, spinning his chain-scythe in wild arcs that disrupt magic and nullify energy shields.

He lands a hit on Onmyo Flare, sending him flying through metal scaffolding.

BLOODVEIL:

"You protect each other too much. You rely. You feel. That's how I win."

Nekoburst darts in from the side, teleporting behind him with a wild roundhouse — heel spike first. She lands a hit on his ribs.

NEKOBURST:

"I'm the only emotionless one here. Come at me, love-killer!"

But Bloodveil grabs her tail mid-flip, slamming her into the floor. Chains wrap around her legs.

Heartlight bursts forward, his wings unfurling mid-air, light spearing down as he shields Nekoburst from another blow.

HEARTLIGHT (fierce):

"You don't understand love. That's why you fear it."

BLOODVEIL:

"No. I've lost it. That's why I kill it."

The scythe crashes into Heartlight's shield. The explosion sends both of them flying.

[ACT IV – Harmony or Havoc]

Scene: The Heartcore Platform – Midair steel beam

Starwave lands on a thin platform high above the battle. Bloodveil appears behind her.

BLOODVEIL:

"You're the loudest. You love the hardest. Let's see how loud you scream."

He swings.

But suddenly — a flash.

Xylo intercepts with a slicing uppercut, knocking Bloodveil off balance.

XYLO (to Starwave):

"Sing with your heels. I'll slice the beat."

She nods.

They launch into a synchronized combo attack — Starwave tapping out rhythmic sonic pulses while Xylo slices through the sync waves like a conductor carving through music.

Each blast hits harder.

The final blow: Starwave jumps, flips mid-air, slams her heels into Bloodveil's chest.

Xylo slices upward at the same moment — forming an "X" slash of light and sound.

BOOM.

Bloodveil crashes into a web of Scarlet Onna's runes.

[ACT V – A Light Misplaced]

Scene: Aftermath – Nightfall

Bloodveil is gone. The scythe vanishes with a shriek of shadows.

The team regroups at the base, battered but victorious.

Heartlight sits alone under a streetlamp. His wings flicker… dimmer than usual.

Starwave walks up, but doesn't sit.

STARWAVE (gently):

"I never meant to hurt you."

HEARTLIGHT:

"You didn't. You just… stopped looking at me the way I look at you."

Silence.

HEARTLIGHT (standing):

"That's okay. But I need to protect my own light too."

He walks away.

Starwave watches him go. A small tear glows on her cheek — reflecting starlight and regret.

🌌 POST-CREDIT SCENE

Far beneath Tokyo — in a sealed vault, someone opens a container.

A voice whispers:

"The boy with the wings burns brighter than he knows. We'll need more than chains next time."

A new villain's silhouette steps into the light… grinning.
