Marvel: The Tokyo Avengers

💘 "Some battles are louder in silence."

Previously:

Starwave begins to fall for the radiant hero Heartlight, but the silent newcomer Xylo has carved his own space in her heart. A deadly team-up between Starwave and Xylo ended a rogue AI outbreak. Meanwhile, Heartlight gifted her a pulse-linked pendant — a confession hidden in energy.

Now, the emotional triangle begins to pulse harder… and in the background, someone watches — someone who doesn't believe love belongs on the battlefield.

[ACT I – Fractures in Formation]

Scene: Tokyo Avengers Base, Training Hall – Morning

The team runs coordinated drills under Onmyo Flare's watchful eye. The atmosphere is sharp — but so is the tension.

Starwave and Xylo spar. Her heels blast sonic bursts as he dodges, slashing through the tempo waves with hand-blade precision.

Nearby, Heartlight watches quietly — his pendant flickering with her pulse.

ONMYO FLARE (stern):

"Again. Faster this time."

SCARLET ONNA (whispers to Kuro):

"Training's gotten… emotionally weird."

KURO ŌKAMI (arms crossed):

"Feels like someone's gonna combust."

As Starwave launches a mid-air flip-kick, Xylo catches her ankle mid-spin, spinning her gently to the ground before flicking his finger near her temple in mock victory.

XYLO (smirking):

"You're distracted."

STARWAVE (blushing):

"I was… off-tempo."

HEARTLIGHT (from across the room, low):

"You never miss tempo."

The air thickens. The others exchange glances.

[ACT II – Walks and Walls]

Scene: Sakura-lit path behind the base – Afternoon

Starwave and Heartlight walk alone. The cherry blossoms are beginning to fall, but the silence between them is heavier than the petals.

STARWAVE (quietly):

"Did I… do something wrong?"

HEARTLIGHT (smiling, but not fully):

"No. You're just… looking somewhere else lately."

She pauses, hand reaching instinctively to her chest — where the pendant he gave her still hangs.

STARWAVE:

"I never stopped looking at you. I just… started seeing other things too."

HEARTLIGHT (soft):

"That's the same thing."

A gust of wind blows petals across them. She turns away.

[ACT III – The Shadow Arrives]

Scene: Shinjuku – Evening

As neon lights dance across the skyline, the Tokyo Avengers are called to a disturbance in a tunnel beneath the city.

When they arrive — the entire underpass is scorched. Soldiers of S.H.I.E.L.D. lie unconscious. A single word is carved into the ground in glowing fire:

"HIM."

Suddenly, the walls tremble.

A figure drops from the ceiling — black cloak, silver eyes, wielding an elongated chain-scythe.

??? (grinning):

"Y'know… I've always hated heroes who flirt too much."

NEKOBURST (snarling):

"You picked the wrong tunnel, creep."

The figure swings the scythe in a deadly arc — energy crackling from it as it slices through concrete. A flash of red illuminates the villain's face:

💀 New Marvel Villain: Bloodveil

Affiliation: Former HYDRA assassin

Power: Chain-scythe infused with shadow plasma; every strike pulls emotion from the target

Goal: Eliminate emotionally entangled heroes — sees love as weakness

[ACT IV – Heart, Heel, Blade]

The team engages.

Kuro Ōkami dashes forward in beast form, claws clashing with Bloodveil's weapon. Sparks fly as the scythe drinks from Kuro's aggression.

BLOODVEIL (scoffing):

"You fight like a hound in heat."

KURO (growling):

"Good. Because I bite."

Onmyo Flare casts a defensive charm barrier. Scarlet Onna flicks her needles mid-air, threading protective glyphs into the walls to keep the fight from collapsing the tunnel.

Starwave rushes in from above with a heel-slam shockwave — but Bloodveil teleports mid-scythe swing, catching her by the ankle.

BLOODVEIL (cold):

"I can hear your heartbeat. It's loud. Messy. Weak."

HEARTLIGHT (shouting):

"Let her go!"

He dives in with a pulse shield — slamming Bloodveil into a wall of violet energy.

BLOODVEIL (smirking as he fades into smoke):

"Lovers die first."

He vanishes.

[ACT V – Light and Questions]

Back at the base, the mood is heavy.

Heartlight stares at his hands, glowing faintly with emotional residue. His power, once calming, now flickers with confusion.

Starwave sits outside alone, still clutching the pendant.

Xylo walks past — but this time, doesn't stop. He pauses — just long enough to glance at her — and keeps walking.

STARWAVE (calling softly):

"You don't have to disappear."

XYLO (without turning):

"Not disappearing. Just letting your heart catch up."

She closes her eyes.

In the shadows, Bloodveil watches from a rooftop, scythe dripping black flame.

BLOODVEIL (smiling):

"One heart will break. One will burn. And then… they'll all fall."
