Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Vivi Delay
Vivi paused for a moment, her eyes staring seriously at Lance before continuing, "We sent a team to eliminate the buyer, intercept the dirty bomb, capture Albino, and use Albino as leverage to find Wolf. But the plan failed completely. Of the entire team, only one agent managed to return alive."
Lance examined the documents given to him, reading carefully. "So, you want me to find this man?" Lance asked, his eyes still focused on the document.
Vivi raised an eyebrow, a slight smile gracing her face. "Not just find him, Lance. I want you to get rid of him."
Lance glanced at Vivi with a flat expression. "Vivi, I'm not a killer."
Vivi let out a small laugh, her tone laced with subtle mockery. "Oh, darling, we both know that's not entirely true. When we worked together to kill the Mexican drug cartel leader, you killed as much as I did."
Lance returned the document, his voice remaining calm. "I don't want to be forced to kill, and I certainly won't do it for money."
Vivi shrugged with a charming nonchalance. "Well, you can decide for yourself. Kill the guy, or capture him and hand him over to me. I'll take care of the rest."
Lance pursed his lips, staring at Vivi with a sharp gaze. "The reward," Lance said tersely.
Vivi sighed, feigning disappointment. "Darling, you've changed. Before, if I asked for your help, you would do it without a second thought."
Lance was unfazed by her words. "You said this is a CIA matter. You're just here as an intermediary."
A happy smile returned to Vivi's face. "Then, if I really asked for your help personally, would you help?" Vivi asked, her tone full of seduction.
"That depends." Lance kept his tone neutral.
However, even though Lance spoke as if he didn't care, the feelings in his heart told a different story. After all, Vivi was Lance's first love. Their memories together couldn't be easily erased, even after all the differences and conflicts that separated them.
"Enough." Vivi gracefully removed her glasses, then quickly kissed Lance's cheek, leaving a red lipstick mark on his face. "Tomorrow, I'll take you to meet someone. The only agent who survived a mission in Belgrade. When Albino was trading dirty bombs, Wolf must have been around to oversee. This agent might be the only person who has ever seen Wolf. Although this man isn't sure which one it is, I'm confident he has some impressions."
Vivi paused for a moment, her gaze sharpening. "This man is a very good senior agent, but now he has retired due to declining health. His information could be very helpful for your commission this time."
Lance nodded briefly. "Okay."
Lance knew that seeking clues through the agent would save a lot of time. This mission was not only dangerous but also required speed and cunning. As for his search for the *Berserker Staff*, Lance decided to postpone it for a while. After all, the item wasn't going anywhere.
"The reward for Albino is $100,000, while for Wolf it's $400,000—dead or alive," Vivi continued, her tone sounding flat yet resolute. As Vivi stared deeply at Lance, her fingers gently ran through her hair. "I am the supervisor of this task, so this is the maximum reward I can propose."
Lance smiled slightly, a bit cynical. "The CIA really knows how to throw money around. But I admit, $500,000 is an impressive figure."
Vivi sighed, shrugging slightly. "If you think about it, the CIA has spent over ten years tracking Wolf. Spending tens of millions of dollars, losing many agents in the process. This loss is quite horrific. If this issue can be resolved with half a million dollars, sending Wolf to hell is a cheap offer."
Lance pondered for a moment before saying, "True. See you tomorrow."
Lance turned, ready to leave the room, but Vivi suddenly wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly. A sweet yet sly smile adorned Vivi's face, while her eyes sparkled with enticing charm. "Dear Mr. White, it's been a long time since we last met..."
Vivi whispered softly, her voice almost like a melody that evoked nostalgia and temptation. Lance tensed, struggling to maintain his composure.

The night passed quietly, and at that moment, the morning light began to illuminate the world. The first rays of sunlight streamed through the attic's ventilation window, piercing the quiet space, while fine golden dust floated in the air, dancing gracefully between the wide, soft white curtains.
"Good morning," said Vivi, crossing her arms and smiling.
"… Morning," Lance replied, slightly blushing as he scratched his head.
Although Lance knew that this woman was an actress in an alternate world, Vivi's beauty still made him feel awkward and shy.
Vivi seemed to notice something with a mysterious smile. Her long golden hair cascaded down her chest like a waterfall reflecting light. Vivi chuckled and said, "Little man, you're still as shy as ever, always awkward whenever you're near me."
Lance remained silent, not responding. "When are you going to meet that agent?" he asked, changing the subject.
Vivi chuckled again, a bit proudly, then stopped teasing Lance. She turned to look at the alarm clock on the table beside her. "It seems like it's the right time to head out."
"Then pack up and get ready," Lance replied without much small talk.
Vivi was still wearing a black corset and matching pants, but now she added a black women's jacket that enhanced her graceful and heroic appearance. Vivi looked even more enchanting, as if ready to face anything.
Outside the door, Glenn had prepared the car and brought all the necessary information.
Lance sat in the passenger seat and asked, "Where are we going?"
"Flushing," Vivi replied skillfully turning the ignition key. The car began to move, crossing the long road without regard for traffic rules.
The CIA executives seemed not to care much about such things.
