Marvel: The Sorcerer in America

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Transformation into Form

Lance landed gracefully on an old, rusty lathe, a slight smile appearing on his face.

"Manifestation of Heaven and Earth, Fundamental Power!" Lance began to chant the spell calmly.

"Bring order to chaos and reveal my divine power!"

The room resonated with a low hum. The six demon birds leaped forward simultaneously, their twelve vicious claws striking like sharp blades ready to tear Lance apart from all directions.

"Within and beyond the three worlds, I am unique and independent!"

"Balance from within the body, protect me!"

In an instant, an explosion of power occurred. A bright golden light erupted from Lance's body, resembling shards of golden glass radiating strong shockwaves around him.

The demon birds were thrown into the air, their bodies staggering mid-air before crashing messily to the floor.

Lance smiled with satisfaction. Since leaving the Chamber of Taj, Lance had honed his abilities by battling various creatures, and his experience points had accumulated over the past two years from fight after fight, and Lance had played several lottery draws.

One of the prizes from the successful lottery draw is the "Golden Light Incantation," which comes from *Hitori no Shita: The Outcast*, a spell of wonder from that world.

The "Golden Light Incantation" is one of the Eight Mysterious Arts in the Book of Life and Death. In the world of *Hitori no Shita: The Outcast*, this spell is a unique secret of the Taoist Master Hall, a protective power that makes Lance nearly unmatched against creatures from other dimensions.

Lance is not only able to protect parts of his body but also his entire body with a layer of energy. Additionally, Lance can manipulate Qi to change his form as needed.

Although this technique is not a high-level spell like the "Heaven Communicating Talisman Art" or other magical techniques, the power of this spell remains extraordinary and well-known in the foreign world.

"Start!" shouted Lance, and in an instant, his body shot forward like lightning.

A bright golden light appeared real, encircling Lance's fist. With one powerful punch, Lance struck the head of the demon bird to his left.

Bang!

The head of the demon bird was instantly crushed by the force of Lance's punch, even though this creature could usually withstand gunfire.

Moments later, Lance spun around, using his left leg to kick at the demon bird attacking from the side.

Boom!!

One hard kick from Lance sent the demon bird flying far away, crashing into an old lathe and shattering it into pieces.

The kick severed the front limbs of the demon bird, causing blood and black smoke to billow from the gaping wound. The monster screamed piercingly, its wail cutting through the air, filled with pain.

In a matter of seconds, one demon bird was dead, and another was severely injured.

Lance's brutal actions made the other demon birds tremble. Seeing Lance return to his position calmly, the remaining four demon birds no longer dared to attack recklessly. They stared at Lance with wary eyes, their sharp fangs intimidating, but accompanied by disgusting drool dripping from their mouths.

This extraordinary scene of battle left the two female detectives watching in awe.

"This... is truly amazing!"

"Who do you think that man really is?"

"Didn't he just introduce himself earlier?"

"But do you really believe that man's identity?"

"Maybe... maybe everything is true."

Lance heard their conversation and turned to wink confidently at them.

"Haha, I think that man is quite interesting," murmured one of the detectives, Nancy, with a wide smile. "He doesn't look as old as the wizard in the legend."

Sidney pursed her lips in displeasure. "That man's appearance is so relaxed... it's very unsettling!"

Sidney is a very strong woman, both physically and mentally. Sidney's skills in solving criminal cases are among the best in the police department, and within the New York police force, she is known as a tough, fearless girl. Sidney often raids gang hideouts alone, leaving behind injured or even dead gang members at her hands.

For a woman with a strong and fiery personality, encountering someone like Lance, who seems untouched by fear, makes Sidney's heart feel a bit sour. Although Sidney doesn't want to admit it, the presence of a man like Lance shakes her confidence, especially after what happened earlier.

In that small shop, Lance had once predicted Sidney's fate, and the accuracy of that prediction was frightening. However, deep in her heart, Sidney still harbored greater doubts than beliefs. But now, as she watches Lance, who appears like a god walking lightly among monsters, how could Sidney's doubts not waver?

Even Nancy, who is usually more composed, looked stunned.

The battle continued, and the monstrous birds, unable to hold back any longer, began to approach slowly.

Lance smiled faintly, confident, as his body moved nimbly among the demon birds with agility. Lance's quick movements, occasionally slowing down, caused the demon birds to lose their rhythm, making it difficult for them to time their attacks accurately.

As Lance moved, golden light began to gather between his fingers, flowing and solidifying into a long, thick rope. This was not ordinary magic, but a manifestation of the Golden Light Incantation that Lance had mastered.

Just as the demon birds tensed their bodies, preparing to leap, Lance swung his golden rope. The rope roared through the air, twisting like a long serpent, wrapping around the shoulders, necks, and heads of the demon birds, slowing them down with an unresistable force.

Immediately after, Lance's body and heart united in a single focal point, unleashing an extraordinary holy power. Lance lifted the several-ton heavy body of a demon bird and effortlessly slammed it into another demon bird, as if playing with a meteor hammer.

"Boom, boom, boom!!"

The deafening sound of loud thuds echoed one after another, the bodies of the three demon birds were thrown into the air and crashed to the ground, propelled by incredible force.

Without wasting any time, Lance quickly turned and jumped back, avoiding the next attack. The demon bird tightly bound at the end of the golden rope fell hard to the ground, letting out a piercing shriek that nearly pierced the eardrums of anyone who heard it.
