MARVEL-THE MULTIVERSE TRADER

Chapter 16: THE OMNITRIX

After a simple dinner of roasted game and foraged herbs shared with the orphans of Hage village, Nova found himself at peace for the first time in days. The laughter of children and the rustic warmth of the small wooden house he'd built by manipulating the forest's trees lingered in the air like an old lullaby.

Now, as night cloaked the world in a soft hush, he sat alone within the newly built house — a modest shelter of oak beams and earthen stone. A faint breeze drifted through the half-open window, carrying the scents of rain-soaked wood and distant fireflies.

Nova leaned back against the wall, exhaling slowly, and with a thought, summoned the pale-blue glow of his system interface. The shimmering screen unfurled before him like a scroll of light.

Almost immediately, a series of crisp chimes echoed in the room.

---

[DING!]

IT IS DETECTED THAT HOST HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED HIS FIRST TRADE/CONTRACT.

[ASSESSING CONTRACT PARAMETERS AND ENTITY RANK…]

[EVALUATION COMPLETE.]

[DING!] HOST HAS FORGED TWO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS:

→ CONTRACTOR: WORLD TREE (High ranking Multiverse realm entity— Realm Core Grade)

→ CONTRACTOR: ANCIENT THUNDER DRAGON 'VORRIKAN' (High-God Class — Single Universe Tier)

---

A multiverse rank entity, still was shackled by those chains. This is increasing burden on his shoulders, he needs to essentially fight against devils whose strength is far above single universe rank.

[DING!] REWARDS BEING PROCESSED FOR CONTRACT ACHIEVEMENTS]

---

[CONTRACT WITH: WORLD TREE]

→ REWARD GRANTED: [MYSTERY BOX — TIER: LEGENDARY GUARANTEED (Due to Contractor's Rank)]

A small, crystalline box of softly glowing jade manifested in midair, radiating pure mana so dense it made the air hum. The box floated gently before settling on the wooden table with a faint, musical chime.

[CONTRACT WITH: ANCIENT THUNDER DRAGON]

→ Reward Granted: [THUNDER RUNE]

A crackle of violet lightning arced through the air as a palm-sized, storm-forged rune appeared beside the box. It thrummed with primal, ancient power, arcs of electricity dancing along its engraved surface.

NOTE:- For every long-term contract established, the System will issue unique, thematically-linked rewards to assist the Host in completing contractual obligations. The greater the contractor's tier and contract difficulty, the greater the reward.

---

MYSTERY BOX:- A dimensional lockbox containing an unknown item or entity. Possible contents include weapons, artifacts, living beings, rare resources, ancient knowledge, or even entire sealed worlds.

The current tier: LEGENDARY. Host is guaranteed to receive at least one Legendary-grade item. Higher-tier bonuses possible.

THUNDER RUNE:- A condensed manifestation of thunder laws. By meditating on it, on can deepen his understanding of thunder. This rune contains various forms of thunder such as destruction thunder, life thunder etc.

Can be used in two primary ways:

→ Deepening the user's comprehension of Thunder Laws.

→ Using it to create an thunder artifact, whose grade atleast be single universe tier.

-----

As Nova read the notifications, a wide, genuine grin tugged at the corners of his lips.

"Heh. This system's got some humanity after all."

Well — not quite humanity. It was strategy. A calculated move to keep him alive, driven by cold algorithms that understood investing in a useful asset paid better dividends than letting it rot. But that was fine by him. He wasn't here for charity.

As long as the rewards matched the risks, Nova would bleed for every contract the multiverse could throw his way.

With a flick of his hand, he summoned the Mystery Box from his system inventory.

A palm-sized cube appeared in his grasp, its surface a smooth crystalline material that shimmered with shifting hues of violet and gold. Every side bore a pulsing question mark, each symbol glowing softly like the eye of some ancient, unseen entity.

"Alright… let's see what you're hiding."

Per the system's instructions, he tapped the center of the cube.

The box gave a soft hum — then shone with a fierce, growing light.

[DING! YOU HAVE OPENED THE MYSTERY BOX.]

A pulse of blinding white light erupted from the cube, engulfing the room. Nova instinctively raised his arm to shield his eyes as the very air trembled with compressed dimensional force.

A sharp CLICK echoed through the room as something metallic and solid materialized onto his wrist, its arrival accompanied by a ripple of multiversal energy that made the system interface flicker.

When the light finally faded, Nova lowered his arm — and stared at his wrist in absolute disbelief.

Strapped tightly around his forearm was a sleek, black-and-green wrist device. A raised, circular dial dominated its face, etched with a glowing hourglass-like symbol at its center, its faint green light pulsing like a heartbeat.

No. No way. No freaking way.

His pulse quickened.

"Is that… the Omnitrix?"

The system's calm notification confirmed it.

---

[DING!] LEGENDARY REWARD ACQUIRED: OMNITRIX (INITIAL MODEL)

DESCRIPTION: A reality-defying artifact created by the genius Celestialsapien-tier mind Azmuth from an alternate multiverse. Contains the genetic blueprints of countless species across that multiverse. Allows the user to transform into registered alien lifeforms, each retaining abilities scaled to the user's current rank and world laws.

→ Additional functions locked pending synchronization.

→ Device is soul-bound to Host Nova Ashbourne.

→ Interference with local dimensional order minimized due to contract-linked dispensation.

---

Nova's breathing slowed as the implications hit him.

This wasn't some themed thunder spellbook or a rare elemental blade. This was a universal apex-tier artifact. In every fandom, debate, and multiverse tier list, the Omnitrix was the wildcard. A weapon, a tool, a survival kit, and a bargaining chip all in one.

It didn't matter if he was fighting devils, dragons, or world-ending catastrophes — the ability to access multiple alien forms could tilt the odds every time.

"Not bad," Nova whispered, a smirk returning to his face.

"Not bad at all."

He rotated the dial experimentally, watching as familiar silhouette holograms flickered into existence above the watch's face — shapes he'd seen a thousand times in shows and fan theories. But as each alien's outline appeared, a translucent lock symbol hovered over it, accompanied by a crisp system notification.

---

[NOTICE:

You have acquired the Omnitrix: Final Multiversal Prototype Edition.

This is the final and highest-grade iteration of the Omnitrix ever constructed within the multiverse continuum. It integrates all known functions and technologies from parallel versions of the Omnitrix — including but not limited to Ultimate Mode, Fusion Mode, Randomizer State, DNA Repair Protocols, Genetic Library Expansion, Cross-Species Hybridization, and Transdimensional Shifting.

---

CURRENT STATUS: PROTOTYPE MODE

→ The Omnitrix is presently locked in its Prototype configuration. Host must increase his mastery over the device and deepen his comprehension of its mechanics to sequentially unlock advanced functions and modes.

→ Initial Available Forms:

Heatblast

Four Arms

Grey Matter

XLR8

Diamondhead

Ripjaws

Upgrade

Ghostfreak

Wildmutt

Stinkfly

Additional Alien Forms and Sub-Functions are sealed. Host needs to deepen his understanding and the use of Omnitrix to unlock various functions.

---

[WARNING:]

The Omnitrix is protected by countless safeguard arrays and anti-tampering protocols established by both its original creator — Celestialsapien-Class Engineer Azmuth — and the System's multiversal law management subroutines.

Any attempt to forcibly unlock, manipulate, or bypass these safeguards will result in:

→ Immediate device lockdown.

→ Severe backlash to host's spiritual and physical body.

→ Potential rupture of dimensional stability within the current realm.

Proceed responsibly.

---

Nova raised a brow, a slow grin tugging at his lips as he read through the system's detailed breakdown.

"So… Azmuth finally did it. The final, multiversal apex Omnitrix."

A device containing not just a collection of alien DNAs, but literally every species ever recorded across the entire Ben 10 multiverse. Dozens of alternate timelines, divergent continuities, fan-theories-become-realities — all of it. The scope of it was staggering.

And then his grin faltered just a little.

"But… Ben 10, you bastard."

Nova sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

It hit him all at once. Of course Azmuth would've gone overboard. After watching one dumbass kid repeatedly tamper with, hijack, override, or outright break every safety protocol the original Omnitrix ever had — multiple times, across multiple timelines no less — any sane creator would've built the final version like a damn fortress.

This wasn't just a wearable gadget anymore. It was a pocket-sized dimensional superweapon with security measures probably outstripping half the multiverse's vaults combined.

He could practically hear Azmuth now: "I swear, if one more human tries to hotwire my watch, I'm collapsing their reality in on itself."

Nova let out a low chuckle.

"Ben, you absolute trap-setting fool. Because of you, this thing's probably wrapped in so many anti-tampering wards that if I so much as glare at it wrong, it'll blow my soul out through my eyes."

A quick glance back at the system's warnings only confirmed it.

Yeah. Azmuth wasn't playing around.
