Marvel: The Chaos Witch

"So…you guys want to know how I gave Adam my powers so you can take it for yourselves." Wanda let out a light chuckle as she gazed at the so-called leaders and heroes of the world. She was starting to see why Adam hated heroes and the government.

'I can't believe my brother sacrificed his life to save such worthless people'

"Well sorry to burst your bubble but you can't. My powers can't be taken by force but by free will and hence If you want Adam's powers, he has to be the one willing up his powers but I don't see that happening."

"And why not?" asked Ross

"Because unlike myself, Adam is much more cold hearted and rational. He would never give up the very powers keeping him safe. Not even for me. So if you were thinking of threatening me to get him to surrender then you'd better spend your time doing something more productive like digging a mass grave to burry all those Washington corpses." Said Wanda as she laughed mockingly at the people present.

"Wanda. What happened to you? You weren't always like this." Asked Natasha with great concern as she noticed the deteriorating state of Wanda's mind.

"You're right. I wasn't. You made me this way. You made me finally see what Adam was talking about. The real truth about you so-called heroes and leaders of the world." Said Wanda as she gazed at Natasha with a look that shook her very soul. "I'm just sorry that I didn't see it sooner."

"Enough!" said Ross shutting Wanda and Natasha up

"With respect sir, I believe that we should just hand over Wanda to Adam. Like Wanda has said. Based on his previous actions we can conclude that he has no problems with taking innocent lives if it means the return of Wanda. Returning Wanda would ensure that the situation is resolved" suggested Tony Stark aka Iron man

"No. Mr Secretary. This would just make us look weak. If we simply just give in to the demands of these superpowered terrorists all the time. How will the public respect the government and trust it to keep them safe." Said another general.

"You're right General Michael. Giving away our detained personnel on the whim of a terrorist Is unacceptable. What would you suggest?" asked Ross to which the general smiled.

"well Secretary Ross. Since this Adam has basically declared war on us by attacking SHIELD headquarters, then we should in kind. After all isn't that why we have the Avengers? To deal with superpowered threats?"

Ross's eyes widened as a malicious grin spread across his face.

"Well said General. Mobilize the available Avengers' members to deal with this threat. Also inform the imprisoned Avengers' members that a terrorist is threatening the lives of the people of Washington. That should get them to co-operate. Also put out a wanted terrorist notice of Adam on every news network labelling him as an extremely dangerous superpowered criminal. Let's see how he handles being hunted down and hated by the entire country" Ordered Secretary Ross to the horror of Wanda. And so just like that. Adam became the most wanted terrorist in the United States.

Adam, however, didn't know this as he soon parked his car on a street right in front of a house belonging to his next target. Stepping slowly towards the front door, Adam soon reached the front door. Knocking on it, the door soon opened revealing a beautiful woman in her forties.

"Hello. What can I do for you?" asked the woman. Quickly reading her mind, Adam knew that he had come to the right place. Looking into the sitting room, Adam saw his target's younger sister watching TV however she wasn't his main reason for being here.

"Hi. I'm here to see your son" said Adam to which the woman sighed exasperatingly

"Gosh what has my son done now. Come in" she said beckoning for him to come in. Adam was about to take a step forward when he was suddenly blasted away by a beam of energy crashing through a few houses before finally coming to a stop within the living room of another family watching TV. Ignoring them, Adam walked out of the house only to find that he had been surrounded by the Avengers.

Flying above were Iron Man, War Machine, Vision and Falcon while on the ground were Black Widow and Spider man. His psychic powers however could sense another mind present though miniscule which must be a shrunk down Ant man.

"Hello you must be Adam. Wanda's psychotic fling. Would you be kind enough to surrender so we can call it a day?" asked Iron man in a sarcastic tone. Adam ignored him however.

"It would seem that the leaders of America sent the Avengers to deal with me" said Adam completely ignored Tony Stark which pissed him off a bit.

"Yeah so if you know what's good for you, you'll surrender cause we have fought guys much bigger, smarter, stronger and tougher than some Wannabe super terrorist who thinks he's all that just because he got Wanda's powers" Said Tony Stark in an arrogant tone that completely looked down on Adam. The rest of the Avengers hadn't spoken but even from their demeanour he could tell that they too looked down on him.

"I see. Well I'm sorry but I'm going to have to refuse." That being said, Adam fired a red chaos energy blast at Iron man knocking him dozens of meters away sending him crashing into some trees before finally coming to a stop. Taking this as a signal, the rest of the Avengers attacked. The first to attack were War machine and vision who fired laser beams which Adam easily blocked using his red energy shields. Without giving Adam any chance to relax, Black widow closed in and tried punching forward only to collide with a red etherial barrier.

With a wave of his hand, Black Widow was flung off crashing into a street poll before falling to the ground. War machine and an arrived Iron man fired missiles on Adam however they were all easily blocked by Adam's protective red energy field.
