Marvel: Supreme Wizard

Chapter 45: Chapter 45: No Problem

Dumbledore made a decision in his heart, but he didn't express it.

There was nothing he could do about it—he was the Headmaster of a magic school.

His favoritism toward Harry had already raised enough eyebrows. If he showed similar treatment to another student, what would others think?

So, Dumbledore decided to change the topic. He looked at the honest Noah with a smile. The more he observed the boy, the more he liked him.

At such a young age, Noah had dared to face Voldemort directly. Not only that, but he had also resisted temptation and destroyed the soul fragment—something even adult wizards might struggle with!

This wasn't just a matter of ability. It was a matter of courage!

Voldemort's name alone was enough to strike fear into the hearts of most wizards. Who had the nerve to stand against him?

Quirinus Quirrell was a perfect example.

The soul fragment was weak—barely stronger than a common ghost. In theory, even a simple beam of strong sunlight could eliminate it.

And yet, Quirrell had fallen into endless fear the moment he realized whom he was dealing with. That fear had made him vulnerable to Voldemort's temptations, dragging him into the abyss.

But Noah?

Noah had treated Voldemort like an ordinary spirit. Without hesitation, he had cast Lumos Maxima and burned the soul fragment to nothing.

"Should I start a new course on magical creatures of darkness?"

Dumbledore mused silently. However, he knew that establishing a new course wasn't so simple.

First, he would have to deal with the school governors, and they were never easy to persuade. Second, the Ministry of Magic's approval would be another hurdle.

Shaking off his thoughts, Dumbledore turned back to Noah.

"Mr. Finniel, may I ask you something?"

"Of course, Professor Dumbledore. And just call me Noah," Noah replied with a nod, unbothered by the questioning.

"Since you had already analyzed that Harry's adventure would be dangerous, why did you still choose to go with him? Was it simply because you were concerned for his safety?"

"I suppose so," Noah admitted before scratching his head awkwardly. "Well… there was another reason."

"Oh?" Dumbledore raised an eyebrow.

Harry and Ron also turned their attention to Noah, curious.

Harry, in particular, was confused. He knew Noah didn't care about his so-called Savior title, so why had he been willing to help?

"Well, it's actually an agreement we made. I don't think I'll be able to fulfill it this semester," Noah admitted sheepishly. "Slytherin students are too difficult to deal with. Even with Kenn's best efforts, we didn't succeed, so…"

"So you decided to help Harry, thinking that if you solved his problems, I might still allow you to meet the conditions?" Dumbledore interjected, smiling knowingly.

Noah's awkward grin confirmed it.

Dumbledore chuckled. This boy was certainly an interesting one.

He understood Noah's struggle. Slytherin House was mostly dominated by pure-blood students, and those who opposed pure-blood ideals usually stayed hidden. It made sense that Noah and his friends had struggled to find the right candidates.

Still, their creative solution amused Dumbledore.

And, in the end, they had handled the situation perfectly, hadn't they?

"Yes, that's about right," Noah admitted.

"An agreement? What agreement?" Harry asked, puzzled.

After all, Noah was just an exceptional student, while Dumbledore was the Headmaster of Hogwarts!

What kind of deal could they possibly have?

"It's a very interesting little agreement," Dumbledore said, glancing at Noah and his friends. "Noah planned to gather outstanding students from different year groups and form a rather fascinating little organization. But I'm afraid I can't say too much."

Harry and Ron were stunned.

Gather outstanding students? Create a small organization?

Thinking about it, it made sense. Noah's friends were all top students. They also came from different houses—Hermione was from Gryffindor, Ernie from Hufflepuff…

And then there was the mention of Slytherin.

Harry wasn't stupid. He could put the pieces together.

So in their eyes, Ron and I weren't even exceptional?

And the main reason they helped me wasn't because of friendship—but because they needed to fulfill some deal with Dumbledore?

Harry's heart sank a little at the realization.

Glancing at the disappointment on Harry's face, Dumbledore sighed internally.

Perhaps he had said too much.

Still, maybe a little bit of competition would be good for Harry?

Turning back to Noah, Dumbledore said, "Noah, you did an excellent job. So, our agreement is fulfilled."

"Really?! That's great!"

Before Noah could respond, Kenn and the others burst into excitement.

This was fantastic news!

This meant the Room of Requirement was officially theirs!

Over the past year, their training inside that room had helped them grow tremendously. Compared to their classmates, the difference in skill was night and day!

"But don't celebrate just yet," Dumbledore cautioned. "You've done well so far, but I have one condition."

He smiled, though his tone carried a hint of seriousness.

"Promise me that every year, you will recruit outstanding students from all four houses. Do you understand? Do not forget what you originally promised me."

"No problem, Professor Dumbledore!"
