Marvel: Peter's Second Chance

Peter's POV:

"Wassup visionaries! I'm PunkBeat! A new youtuber who's about to shake your world! Can't say rock your world because we know how that goes." I said to the camera while wearing a yokai mask, clad in a crisp white T-shirt layered beneath a sleek, well-fitted black shirt,tailored black pants and black shoes.

Honestly I understand how and why the personalities of all spider themed heroes are different when they are with the mask compared to when they are not under the mask. It's liberating to know that no one can judge me because they don't know who is under the mask. I can say what I want to say without fearing about what people will say when they see me.

We are getting off track. Anyway I'm here to take my first video and I'm going to start with "Parkour". "Anyways people! My videos are gonna be about gaming and Parkour. Since this is my first video, I'm gonna start it off with a bang which means I'm gonna do Parkour! Right now I'm in an abandoned rail yard. And I hope y'all enjoy the first run!" I said as I started to do warm-ups.

The camera follows as I warmed up, stretching and checking for hazards. Then, with a running start, I leap onto a rusted train car, balancing on its narrow surface before vaulting over to a nearby platform. A GoPro captures a first-person view as I sprint across decayed beams, leap gaps between old loading docks, and roll across gravel-strewn rooftops.

Dramatic slow-motion shots highlight precise foot placements and daring flips, while a drone circles overhead, showing the scale of the location. I breathlessly narrates between moves, explaining techniques like wall runs and precision jumps.

As the session escalates, I attempt a risky cat grab onto a steel beam, struggling for grip before pulling myself up. A near-miss moment—slipping on loose debris—adds tension, but I recover with a grin.

The video ends with a debrief, sitting on the edge of a rusted boxcar as the sun sets. "That was insane! Let me know if you guys want to see more spots like this. Stay safe, train hard...hehe....."train hard", get it? And I'll see you in the next one!" With that I ended the video. It took me a lot of time to get the things I needed to make this video and it took me some time to program the drone to properly take the video according to my desire.

It took me much more time to make my outfit. I wanted something simple but attention grabbing hence the mask and black theme. Normally black would not be a great combo with brown hair and hazelnut eyes. Good yes, but not a great combo. But for some reason, my hair has turned raven black and my eye colour is emerald green. I checked my DNA and discovered that STING had increased the production of the pigment "eumelanin" in my hair and reduced the melanin in my iris.

I luckily managed to convince Aunt May that it was just contact lens and hair dye. STING also somehow managed to cure the deformities in my body like fixing my eyesight, improving my immune system and strengthening my bones. The effects were somewhat fast as ,I started to see the results in the first week. My training in the dojo too has been going pretty nicely. I have the skills MMA, Sojutsu and Capoeira, all of which are level 5.

I have made friends with all Dojo members, Minato and Kushina. I now have a grand total of twelve contact information in my phone, including Aunt May and Gwen. Man, that's just low, I seriously need to work on my social life. Anyway, I have managed to work around the issue of not having resources. I signed up for a summer holiday internship in the baxter building and guess what. The fantastic four is not a thing yet. If , I play my cards right ,I might be able to get powers from the accident that gave the "Fantastic Four" their powers.

Now that ,I am done with my video and internal monologuing , I'm heading to the Baxter Building to possibly get a job. The Baxter Building is located in Manhattan, New York City. Specifically, at the address, 42nd Street and Madison Avenue. I'll have to talk to Franklin Storm, the father of Susan Storm (Invisible Woman) and Johnny Storm (Human Torch, The Second). No rest for the wicked afterall.

No One's POV:

We can see Peter enter the Baxter Building. The Baxter Building is a sleek, modern skyscraper with a distinctive silver and blue exterior. It has a futuristic design, with a unique blend of art decorations and high-tech elements. When Peter enters the building he sees someone who he did not expect to. He saw ,Melissa Shield working as the receptionist.He walked up to her and told her about his meeting with Franklin Storm for the internship.

Melissa's POV:

If you asked me about my opinion on Peter Parker, I would say that he was a really sweet and determined boy. He was a little on the lanky side but ,I would never imagine him to be a nerd. When he first came to the dojo, he fit the description of a nerd perfectly like me, but only a few days later he started to dye his hair and wear contact lens. I thought he was probably trying to impress a girl or he was just in his rebellious phase.

When it came to fighting, he was a natural. He picked up on everything he was taught easily and he seemed to have a never-ending supply of stamina. When he learnt a fighting style, it was as if it got etched into his muscle memory and the more he practiced it, he only seemed to improve never repeating the mistake more than once or twice. And the way he was training with dedication, I thought he just wanted to get better at something because he was an average student.

So colour me surprised when the same Peter Parker walks up to me and says," Hey Melissa! I was told that I was supposed to meet Mr.Franklin Storm for an internship offer. Can you tell me where he is. Also what are you doing here by the way?". And that's when, I knew that my whole world was going to change. My father David Shield is a long term colleague and friend of Mr.Franklin so when I said that I wanted to study under him my father got me the receptionist job because according to him I was a 'frail little girl who shouldn't be messing with heavy machinaries '. Mr.Franklin respected my father's request and put me as a receptionist.

Sometimes I'm jealous of big sis Susan. She is only three year older but she can work in lab already. And if Peter gets selected he will also be allowed to work in the laboratory. Hmm... Maybe I can use this to my advantage. If I somehow convince Mr.Franklin to make me and Peter partners, I'll be able to tell my dad that Peter will be the one who does the heavy lifting so dad won't have to worry about me. Sometimes my genius, it scares me.

Now with a plan, I put the best smile I can only my face and said to Peter," Well Peter, Mr. Franklin is right now in a board meeting and it will take some time to finish. Why don't you wait here with me." He looked at me, and then he was in a thinking pose for few seconds and finally said,"Ok". Yes! Now I just have to somehow make him consider the idea of a partner and I need to make sure he passes Mr.Franklin's inspection.
