Marvel : I'm in Westview Town

Chapter 232: Chapter 232 : Mara's Situation!

"This monster!!"

Finn narrowed his eyes slightly.

The sudden burst of power from Mara just now sent a sharp spike of danger through his instincts. If he hadn't ramped up his speed in time, the damage would've been catastrophic.

"Roar!!!"

A feral roar tore through the sky.

Mara's fury exploded outward—his aura warped and volatile, like a true berserker. He charged with wild abandon, eyes gleaming with madness.

That energy… it was overwhelming. Far stronger than before. It was the kind of power that didn't accept opposition. That didn't allow change.

"You think you can beat me?"

Mara's voice came out low and gravelly, drained of all emotion, more like a force of nature than a man.

"You're just playing with borrowed power. Don't start howling like some oversized wolf."

Finn stared him down, silent and steady, no fear in his expression.

Despite the terrifying power Mara was wielding, Finn wasn't convinced this was unbeatable. His own strength had evolved. He wasn't about to fold.

Boom!!!

They clashed once more. The impact erupted like a localized apocalypse.

The ground buckled beneath them, space itself seemed to shatter. Cracks spiderwebbed out from their point of contact. Trees, shrubs—obliterated. Reduced to ash.

This wasn't a skirmish. This was annihilation.

"Roar!!!"

Mara's scream split the sky. His face was twisted, monstrous, eyes burning crimson like some infernal entity.

Dark energy coiled out from his body. Thick, suffocating. It wrapped around him, layer after layer, forming an armor of void.

"What the hell… how did he power up this fast?"

Finn's chest tightened. The pressure bearing down on him now was on a whole different scale.

If this continued… defeat wasn't just possible—it was guaranteed.

"Is he planning to use a forbidden technique?"

Finn's thoughts raced. The dark energy radiating from Mara wasn't normal. It was ancient. Taboo.

The realization hit like a bullet.

"No. I can't let that happen. No matter what."

Whether it was instinct or insight, Finn didn't wait for confirmation.

His eyes turned cold, like tempered steel.

Mara was already ridiculously powerful. If he invoked a forbidden technique—one of the lost relics of the multiversal arcane—there'd be nothing left to counter it.

And from the surging aura, there was no doubt in Finn's mind: Mara was heading straight for that threshold.

"Kill!!!"

Finn's fists clenched, golden energy coiling up his arms like living flame. His power erupted outward, fierce and unyielding. His pupils glowed with a sharp, bladed light.

Boom!!

Their collision triggered another seismic wave.

Mara's raw strength was unrelenting. Each blow shook Finn to the core, forcing him into retreat. His expression darkened with every impact.

"Damn it!!!"

Mara's power intensified. The air around him twisted and distorted, bent by sheer force.

Boom!!!

His massive fist cut the air like a missile, landing blow after blow. Every hit carried enough force to split adamantium.

Finn weathered over a dozen of them before blood spattered from his lips. His body felt numb, bones threatening to buckle.

He was driven back, his boots carving trenches into the earth.

"Roar!!!"

Mara lunged again, lethal energy brimming around him, closing the gap in an instant.

"You think you can finish me off that easily? Keep dreaming."

Finn's voice was low, almost amused, as he launched himself into the air, narrowly avoiding Mara's punch.

His right hand lifted. Fingers spread.

Bang!!

A beam of lightning burst from the sky, striking Mara dead-on.

Mara responded with a punch of his own. The lightning vanished on impact—nullified.

"Ha ha!!!"

"You think this little trick can stop me?"

Mara laughed coldly, his eyes glinting with unholy delight.

Finn's expression dropped.

Immunity to lightning. That wasn't in any of the files. It wasn't something he'd prepared for.

"Then how about this!!"

Finn's tone turned lethal.

But Mara didn't give him the chance. He was already in front of Finn, his fist arcing downward with devastating force, the air around him screaming from the motion.

It was the kind of strike that could level a Helicarrier.

Finn's eyes narrowed. He twisted, channeling energy into his left arm, and surged upward.

Bang bang bang!!

Their powers clashed in a violent cyclone, wind pressure flattening everything in a fifty-meter radius.

"You think you're the only one who can evolve?"

Finn's fist drove forward like a meteor, crashing into Mara with overwhelming might. The aura around him intensified, pressing down like the weight of the Nine Realms.

His body was battered, bruised, skin torn—but his energy surged.

Cold. Sharp. Inescapable. Like death itself.

"What is that...?"

Mara's eyes narrowed. Something wasn't right.

Something changed.

"No. I can't let him gather more power. If I do, I won't be able to stop him."

Without hesitation, Mara moved again—his body cloaked in dark mist. The black energy curled and twisted around him, taking on a sinister form. Like a living void.

He was evolving again—becoming something more than physical.

"You think this can restrain me?"

Finn's voice echoed—mocking, clear, resolute.

In that moment, golden energy exploded around him.

Like a billion suns igniting at once, divine light flooded the battlefield. The ground blistered from the heat. The horizon glowed.

Boom!!!

Finn hurled twin fireballs from his palms—blazing, nuclear-hot suns that tore through the air at impossible speed.

The atmosphere cracked under their power.

"Petty tricks—break!!!"

Mara snarled, his power surging once more. A wave of darkness exploded from his core.

He charged.

He punched through the twin suns, scattering them like dust.

"GET OUT!!!"

Finn roared, both hands ablaze, launching a barrage of energy blasts that bathed the field in pure destruction.

Boom!!!

The landscape warped.

The two forces collided, neither giving ground. The sky above darkened as the fallout from their clash surged upward. Lightning arced across the clouds. The wind became a storm.

It wasn't a fight anymore.

It was war.

And only one would walk out of it alive.
