Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 484: Chapter 484

Hori couldn't help but sigh.

It was humanity's development of satellites capable of converting sunlight into electromagnetic waves that caused the Thunder Beings to mutate and sparked an all-out war between the two species.

And yet, it was because of that same satellite that humans were able to counter Kayako's malicious electromagnetic attacks.

Even more surprising—despite their hatred, the Thunder Beings chose to fight alongside humanity and electromagnetic waves, all for the sake of avenging their fallen.

Thanks to their support, Dyna could win.

Such tangled causality left Hori filled with complicated emotions.

He had once believed there would never again be peace between humans and the Thunder Beings.

But this battle showed him a glimpse of another possibility.

"Look!" Rena suddenly pointed at the sky.

They saw the black clouds begin rising rapidly, shooting higher into the atmosphere.

As the clouds dispersed in space, the Thunder Beings detached from them and flew into the cosmos.

Not just here, but around the world—Thunder Beings were leaving Earth.

"They're leaving?" Captain Iruma, back in the command center, voiced her confusion.

"Will they come back?" Munakata asked with uncertainty.

"Probably not… They've given up on humanity." Rena's voice trembled with sorrow, her eyes filled with sadness.

Hori lowered his head in silent resignation as he watched the sky.

He had hoped for a new way forward, a path of coexistence. But in the end… nothing had changed.

Because at its core, the fundamental problem remained unsolved.

Ding-dong, ding-dong.

In the silence, the blinking of Dyna's timer echoed like a farewell melody—mourning the departure of the Thunder Beings.

Dyna and Gaiamon simply stood there, silently watching the sky, as the Thunder Beings disappeared into the void.

"Thank you…" Daigo whispered, deeply grateful for their help.

And then Dyna and Gaiamon slowly vanished.

With Kayako and Toshio gone, the screen displayed the battle rewards.

This confirmed it—both ghosts had been completely eliminated.

Now Dyna, with his infinite energy, no longer needed to worry about running out of power.

Seiun Union Chatroom

Dan Moroboshi: So… what happened with the Thunder Beings?

Daigo: After helping me defeat Kayako, they left Earth.

Tony Stark: Left Earth? Where to?

Daigo: Probably searching for a new habitat.

Tony Stark: A place without electromagnetic waves? That only leaves places like Mercury or Mars—barren worlds without human civilization.

Loki: How tragic. They were born of Earth, yet driven away by humans. So then… who will humanity exile next?

Thor: Loki! Watch your words!

Loki: Am I wrong? One species displaced by human progress. What's stopping there from being a second… or a third? What happens when more show up? Will they be driven away too?

Daigo: I… don't know.

Dan Moroboshi: Sigh…

Nick Fury: Regardless, my priority will always be the survival of humanity.

Tony Stark: Agreed. Advancement always comes with sin. If a war with other species breaks out, we'll face it head-on.

Clark Kent: I'd rather avoid war on Earth… if possible.

Bruce Wayne: Clark… if war does erupt among Earth's species… what will you do?

Clark Kent: I… don't know.

Aquaman, watching their conversation, couldn't help but think of Atlantis.

If nothing changed, perhaps species warfare truly was inevitable.

Goku: If Earth's species start fighting… then we'll just have to battle! No point overthinking it.

Naruto: That sounds… really sad.

Jiraiya: It's unavoidable.

At that moment, Jiraiya was rescuing civilians while fending off rogue zombies and Hyper Beasts.

He paused to reflect.

"What's wrong, Jiraiya?" Tsunade asked, noticing his deep thought.

"Tsunade… even if humanity stops waging war, what happens when other species pose a threat? If it's humanity's fault to begin with… should we still fight?"

The events surrounding the Thunder Beings had shaken his assumptions.

Was peace truly possible just because humans stopped fighting?

What about the others?

"I don't know," Tsunade admitted. "But I do know this—if the other side means us harm, we must fight. Just like these monsters."

She looked ahead—more Hyper Beasts were approaching, their path leaving behind C-virus that turned corpses into zombies.

"You're right. Enemies like these… we must destroy them!"

Jiraiya steadied himself, his fighting spirit reignited.

[Next SCP Incoming: Solar Parasite]

As the screen shifted, a photo appeared—an enormous, serpentine worm coiled on the surface of the sun.

Tony Stark: What the hell? A solar parasite?! That's impossible! Nothing can survive on the sun!

Shizuka: Yeah, the surface temperature is tens of thousands, and the core? Twenty million!

Bruce Wayne: Don't use conventional logic on SCPs. Just be prepared.

As the others debated, the screen began explaining the SCP.

According to the investigation, the Solar Parasite is a massive, segmented, worm-like entity residing within the sun. Estimated length: 28,075 kilometers. This approximation comes from tracking the time it appears and disappears in the photosphere.

Observations suggest it stays on the surface of the sun for 3–4 months, then disappears for 8–12 months.

It is theorized that those 3–4 months are its feeding period—absorbing solar energy before retreating for dormancy.

But some speculate the opposite: that it feeds during the 8–12 months it vanishes—surfacing only when full or overheated to cool off or digest.

There is still no definitive conclusion.

When the SCP Foundation first learned of its existence, they feared it might leave the sun and approach Earth—but so far, it seems incapable of escaping the sun's gravitational pull.
