Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 452: Chapter 452

Barry: Wait, are we talking about beings like me? The kind that leave trails of lightning when they run?

Daigo: No, not like that. In our world, they're a species that lives in the clouds—microscopic life forms. They've existed on Earth for a long time, coexisting peacefully with humans. But after humans invented electromagnetic waves, it disrupted their environment.

Daigo: Because of electromagnetic interference, the Bolt People can't survive anymore. Some have even mutated into Kaiju. Now, to protect their own survival, they've decided to attack humanity.

Gen: Isn't that… basically an internal war among Earth's species?

Nobita: But why fight? We all live on the same planet. Can't we coexist in peace?

Daigo: They can't adapt to electromagnetic waves. Unless humans stop using electronic devices altogether, the Bolt People won't be able to survive. And that's impossible.

Tony Stark: I get it now. It's a deadlock. Technology's progression is inevitable. It's impossible to stop. Looks like there's no solution besides war.

Hearing this, Dan Moroboshi couldn't help but look uneasy. It reminded him of the Numaltans—another Earth-born species forced to flee to the ocean depths by humanity, now locked in a life-or-death struggle.

It was the same kind of hopeless situation.

"Is it really impossible for different species on the same planet to coexist? Is it inevitable that one side's development will wipe out the other?" Dan muttered, letting out a sigh.

Rhodey: Tony, do you think something like this could happen in our world too…?

Tony Stark: Can't say for sure. But if it ever did, I don't think there's much we could do about it.

Steve Rogers: If a war starts over this… who's really the invader?

Loki: Seriously? Of course, the loser's the invader. Survival is a zero-sum game. One side has to go. The victor writes the history. You humans should know that better than anyone.

Sisyphus: That's a pretty brutal way of looking at it.

Nobita: Hey, Dorami, does the 22nd century have problems like this too?

Dorami: Umm… I'm not really sure...

Meanwhile, in the Tiga Universe, Kyoto.

Daigo looked up at the thick clouds blanketing the sky and the traces of battle all around, sighing heavily.

Just earlier, a Zogat had suddenly appeared and wreaked havoc.

The GUTS Wings and tanks had been unable to stop it.

Luckily, Shinjo had piloted the King Joe Custom over in time and destroyed the Zogat.

"Daigo, I'm heading to regroup! You guys hold the fort here! And man, blasting a Kaiju with the King Joe Custom's cannons—what a rush!"

Shinjo's excited grin filled the cockpit of the King Joe Custom.

Let's be real—piloting a giant mecha is every man's dream! Who wouldn't love it?

And with cannons attached? That's just icing on the cake.

No wonder when Shinjo became the first to pilot the King Joe Custom in combat, Norikae and Katsuya were green with envy. Even Munakata couldn't hide his admiration.

"Idiot, don't get too full of yourself! Don't crash it like you did with the GUTS Wings!" Katsuya's voice came through the command room speakers, exasperated.

"Idiot! I'm not gonna crash it! Besides, with a badass robot like this, how could I crash it?" Shinjo shot back, piloting the King Joe Custom into the sky, waving its arms dramatically at Daigo in farewell.

Daigo responded with a polite smile, waving back.

TPC had already drawn up a plan: the Artdesis and King Joe Custom would assault the Bolt People's nest, while the rest of the team would handle the ground forces.

"Daigo, get over here! We've spotted some Xenomorphs!" came Munakata's voice over the radio.

"Got it!" Daigo replied, rushing off.

Though they'd destroyed the Xenomorph Queen before, she had laid countless eggs. No one knew how many hosts had been infected.

By the time the GUTS team received intel about the Crimson Knightmon, they'd gone to destroy the Chestbursters and the remaining eggs.

But plenty of Chestbursters had already disappeared into the shadows.

Despite TPC's rapid response—sealing off all of Kyoto, including the sewers, evacuating and screening all civilians, and turning the city into an empty shell to facilitate the hunt—finding the Chestbursters was like finding needles in a haystack.

They only surfaced when they had matured into full-grown Xenomorphs and began hunting.

No one knew when Kyoto would finally be cleared of the Xenomorph threat, or if some might have already slipped away unseen.

Worse yet… had a new Xenomorph Queen emerged somewhere, quietly reproducing?

As Daigo ran, he looked up at the GUTS Wings soaring overhead.

Since the King Joe Custom had been integrated into the arsenal, TPC had assembled scientists from around the world to study it, hoping to replicate its design.

Though that goal was still far off, they had at least gleaned some useful insights—improving existing weapons and developing new energy technologies.

Now, the GUTS Wings' lasers were more powerful than ever.

Even if they faced a foe like Gakuma again, they could handle it without needing to resort to the Texas Beam Cannon.

TPC's weapons were stronger than ever, and that should have been cause for celebration.

But Daigo couldn't shake a sense of unease.

He couldn't help but wonder: with TPC developing such powerful weapons, were they still the same TPC he had known? Was this just another arms race in disguise?

And when the time came… would these weapons be aimed at monsters—or at people?

What consequences would this lead to?

But if they didn't develop them, they couldn't defend against the enemy.

This dilemma weighed heavily on Daigo's mind.

"Master, there's something strange in the sky's electromagnetic signals."

It was the Crimson Knightmon's voice, transmitted through the Digivice.

"Huh? Isn't it always weird?"

Daigo snapped out of his thoughts, puzzled.

"No. This time, the signals are more hostile. It's similar to the readings we got from Kayako before."

At this, Daigo's expression turned grim.

Kayako… ever since she disappeared, Daigo had asked the Crimson Knightmon to search the network world for any trace of her signal, but they had found nothing.

Now, suddenly, her energy signature was back—and connected to the Bolt People?

"What do you think is going on?" Daigo asked, worried.

"I can't say for sure yet. I'll need more time to investigate," the Crimson Knightmon replied.

"Understood."

Daigo nodded, looking up at the dark, stormy sky with a deepening sense of unease.

Aeshmida: Never thought I'd get to see the screen again… Well, at least it's something to kill time.

Haskart: Aeshmida! You're alive?

Clark: Wait, why would you ask that? Did he go missing before?

Shion: Yes. He sacrificed himself to forge a Buddhist rosary that could seal the souls of the Specters. But… how is he still here?

Aeshmida: That's because I'm just a soul now. I don't have a physical body anymore.

The Ancient One: A soul, huh… I see. You're powerful enough to survive even in soul form.
