Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 249: Chapter 249

[Event For: Warhammer: Starting as a Planetary Governor!!] [200 PS = +1 Extra Chapter!!]

"An unstoppable blade!"

Bruce Wayne couldn't help but exclaim, startling Arthur, who was sipping beer beside him, his expression puzzled.

The two were in a small bar in Iceland, discussing the current state of affairs over drinks. Bruce was actively trying to recruit Arthur.

The world had become increasingly dangerous, not just due to the SCPs but also because of unknown extraterrestrial threats and other mysterious forces. Bruce had decided to form a team of capable and righteous individuals to combat future unknown dangers.

He had left convincing Barry to Diana, and according to her, Barry had agreed without hesitation as soon as she explained the idea—typical of a young and eager individual, easy to persuade.

Arthur, however, was proving to be more difficult.

"Hey, what's with that weird look?" Arthur asked, frowning at Bruce.

"Ah, nothing," Bruce replied, shaking his head and regaining his composure.

His thoughts lingered on the unstoppable blade. He had sparred with Diana using that blade not long ago, and the experience had been harrowing.

The blade carried an intense, almost overwhelming willpower that controlled his mind and body, leaving him unable to think clearly. He had nearly killed Diana multiple times during their sparring match, his actions entirely dictated by the weapon.

It was only Diana's quick thinking—destroying the ground beneath him to break his balance—that freed him from the blade's influence and allowed him to return to normal.

Now Bruce was deeply curious. What would happen if such a weapon were used against someone who could reflect all damage?

On the screen, a member of the Mobile Task Force approached Cain with the unstoppable blade in hand.

Cain sighed in resignation, as though he already knew what was about to happen.

"I don't want anyone to get hurt. Are you sure you want to do this?" Cain asked, his calm demeanor standing in stark contrast to most SCPs.

"Cain, this is a necessary experiment. Don't worry about it," the researchers reassured him from outside the containment area.

The Task Force member swung the unstoppable blade toward Cain in a direct, forceful strike.

When the blade made contact with Cain, it caused no harm to him. Instead, the wielder's body was slashed as if by the same blade, resulting in severe injuries.

"The experiment ends here. As expected, even the unstoppable blade cannot harm Cain. Instead, the wielder suffers the effects of the weapon."

"This likely occurs because Cain himself does not resist or retaliate, and his reflective ability lacks emotional intent. Thus, the blade's anomalous property isn't triggered."

Bruce sighed in disappointment. He had hoped for a different outcome but found the results predictable.

Arthur, observing Bruce's reaction, couldn't help but be confused. "What's with you? Why are you sighing at thin air? Is it that screen you keep talking about? Why can't I see it?"

"Further testing revealed that while Cain does not suffer damage, extreme attacks can cause him visible pain. Despite his ability to reflect harm, he cannot entirely ignore the sensation of pain."

Tony Stark exclaimed, "What? Cain didn't even flinch when facing missiles. What kind of attack could cause him pain?"

Rhodey speculated, "It's gotta be something like a nuke."

Natasha added, "Maybe worse. It seems there are SCPs even more terrifying than Cain."

Nick Fury muttered, "What the fuck! What kind of power could that even be?"

"Although Abel and Cain are brothers, their relationship is deeply antagonistic. When placed together, Abel loses all sanity and immediately attacks Cain."

"Even when Abel is killed by the reflected damage, he revives and continues to hunt Cain relentlessly upon seeing him again."

"As a result, the Foundation decided that Abel and Cain must never be placed in the same location. Even as members of Pandora's Box, they are strictly forbidden from undertaking missions together."

Naruto exclaimed, "Huh? Two brothers who hate each other? The older one wants to kill the younger? That's so weird!"

Ace agreed, "Yeah, it's strange."

Loki, however, found it perfectly normal. He had always wanted to kill Thor.

Strange offered an explanation, "In the Bible, Cain murdered Abel, becoming the progenitor of countless villains. Perhaps that's why Abel feels compelled to kill Cain."

Nobita countered, "I don't think so. Abel seems far more violent in this version."

Orochimaru speculated, "Maybe Abel's betrayal by someone he trusted—his own brother—led to his transformation. Cain could have either lost his memory or is pretending to be innocent. I've seen plenty of cases where betrayal by family changes people entirely. Isn't that right, Jiraiya, Tsunade?"

Jiraiya and Tsunade chose not to respond to Orochimaru's provocation.

Tony Stark dismissed the idea. "It's also possible their past has nothing to do with the Bible. No need to overthink it."

Dan interjected, "I'm more curious about the other members of Pandora's Box. Surely the team isn't just Cain and Abel, especially since they can't work together."

Kizaru pondered, "Could the Plague Doctor be a member? He seems cooperative enough."

Mei agreed, "That's possible, but the Plague Doctor doesn't seem interested in anything outside research."

Diana suggested, "We'll probably see other members of Pandora's Box soon."

"Predicting the universes where Abel and Cain will appear."

The screen's announcement captured everyone's attention.

"Abel will appear in the Dragon Ball Universe. Cain will appear in the Marvel Universe."

Some sighed in relief, while others had mixed reactions.

"Cain will appear in our universe!" Nick Fury's face lit up with excitement upon hearing the news.
