Xavier and Magneto sat in the President's office with an uncomfortable silence, waiting for him to come.

Magneto was suspicious of Xavier right now.

Xavier had messed with the memories of Hank and Jean. Who says that he hasn't messed with Magneto's memories as well?

After all this is over, he will search for Dr Strange to remove if Xavier had done anything to him.

But, he also trusted Xavier. A lot. Xavier took him out of his containment pod where he was imprisoned by the Nazis, and later dumped in the Arctic.

He hasn't messed with any memories of holocaust, which are very painful. So he doubted he would have messed with his other memories.

Xavier was still thinking about what happened with Jean. How she reacted.

Hank just cried and settled down. His mother wasn't snapped away, but when he turned into a blue beast, she ran away, thinking that he became Blue Hulk. And he wasn't really close to his abusive father, naturally.

And then, Jean returned with Dr Strange, and accidentally swapped Scott and Warren's minds when they were talking to each other.

In the middle of his thoughts, President Ross finally came to the meeting room.

"Charles, it's been a long time since I met you."

"President, thank you for agreeing to meet us on such a short notice. This is my best friend, Eric Lehnsherr."

"Nice to meet you, Mr President."

"Nice to meet you too, Mr Eric."

Ross shook hands with both of them and sat down.

"So, what urgent matter did you want to discuss, Charles?"

Ross knew Charles from his military days. Charles Xavier, despite being a billionaire, was ready to serve the country when Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. It created a lot of buzz at that time.

Sadly, Charles became paralysed in both legs in the war, and retreated to live a pretty normal life as a psychologist and then teacher for gifted students, out from the public eye.

So, why did the low-key Charles suddenly want to meet him?

Eric was the one who answered Ross with a question.

"Sir, why did you call the man who caused Covid-19 a 'mutant'?"

"Because that's what he is. According to scientists, Corona virus existed for years. But that man was the source of mutating it to be such a danger. As if we weren't suffering from the Snap, then because of one man, millions of people lost their jobs and a lot of them died.

He wasn't human. His DNA had an extra gene that wasn't human. Even Hulk has human DNA."

Charles said, "Well, we came here to tell you that please don't make any distinction and name special people with a term like 'mutants'. That will cause segregation."

"Segregation?"

Ross frowned and realised something important.

"Are there other mutants?"

Charles hesitated, looked at Magneto, and then, nodded.

"There are other superpowered individuals as well. It's regretable that Chong Lee had a harmful power, but most of them have good powers."

Magneto nodded, "With most if the Avengers gone or retired, Iron-Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, and the uncooperativeness of Wakanda and Black Panther, I believe we can form the new Avengers."

Magneto decided to show off his power a little.

He lifted off Xavier's wheelchair with the power of Magnetism.

Ross was shocked, "Charles, you can float!?"

"No. This is Eric's power. The power of Magnetism.

My power is telepathy. Though I prefer not to use it unless absolutely necessary."

'I can talk to your mind like this.'

Xavier used telepathy on Ross, which unnerved Ross far more than Eric's power of magnetism.

Eric put back Xavier's wheelchair on the floor, and said, "There were very few superpowered individuals in the past. In fact, I only met Eric as someone like me.

But after The Snap, when half of the universe died, and perhaps due to Infinity Stones being destroyed, many super-powered individuals are coming into the world.

And, these super-powers are most often awakened by trauma. Calling them mutants will lead to segregation, and that will lead to many incidents."

Magneto nodded. He awakened his powers due to the trauma of Holocaust. Hank just had blue hairs before, but after his mother found out and left him, his body turned into a full beast. Jean's powers awakened when her family was taken away by The Snap.

Well, Scott was different. He blew up his mother's head the moment he opened his eyes for the first time after his birth.

But he is in the minority.

Ross, on the other hand, grew concerned.

He had spent years hunting down Hulk. If Hulk wasn't the one who brought everyone who died in The Snap back, he would have started hunting him down again.

But... if several dangerous individuals, with powers as destructive as Hulk and Corona guy started popping up left and right...

Moreover, Charles can talk to him in his mind. What if he can read minds too? Or worse, what if he can control minds too?

And even if he can't, what if someone who can emerges?

Making these guys, these mutants that might replace humans the position of Avengers?

That's like serving them the sword to conquer humanity on vibranium platter.

"Alright. I will think about this. I am incredibly busy, so—"

"Ah. Thank you for giving us your important time, Mr President."

As Xavier and Magneto left, Ross decided to start a hunt for mutants, just like he hunted Hulk.

"Follow them and find whatever information you can."

He ordered the CIA protecting him.
