Pandiantego, New Mexico — a small town where Jane Foster had temporarily rented a modest research lab.

Clark stepped down from the RV parked beside the lab.

Last night, everyone had a lot to drink—everyone except him and Thor. The rest were completely drunk.

After tossing the four of them into the lab, he and Thor made do and spent the night in the RV.

Thor had been keeping a close eye on him, hoping to discover the secret or trick behind lifting Mjölnir.

But… Clark didn't know any trick.

He just picked it up, and it worked.

Thor...

Thinking about what Thor had told him—it all sounded absurd at first—but considering his own Kryptonian identity, Clark had mostly come to believe it.

Thor had no reason to lie.

If he really wanted to fabricate something, it would've been far more believable than what he actually said.

Thor claimed to be the son of Odin, the god of thunder from Asgard, stripped of his powers and exiled to Earth for his mistakes. To return, he needed to lift Mjölnir once more and regain his strength.

Clark remembered the strange power that surged through him when he lifted the hammer. He sighed softly.

That was the main reason he was convinced Thor wasn't lying.

Clark's expression shifted slightly. He turned around and nodded toward Thor, who was still yawning.

Thor had also drunk quite a bit last night, but his tolerance and physique were far beyond that of ordinary people, so he showed no signs of being drunk.

Seeing Clark, Thor let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Noticing Thor's reaction, Clark smiled slightly. "Relax. I promised to help you, and I will."

"You're a generous man."

Clark shook his head. "Don't thank me. I honestly don't know how I did it."

Thor grinned brightly. "I'll figure it out by observing you."

Clark agreeing to help was already more than enough for him.

Then Thor's eyes darkened as he recalled his father's words when he was banished.

Only those who are worthy can lift Mjölnir—and right now, he had lost that worthiness. He had to earn it back.

A moment later, Clark woke up Lois, and Jane Foster and the others gradually stirred awake as well.

"Ugh… my head is killing me."

Jane Foster groaned in pain, holding her temples. After gulping down a glass of water, she finally felt a bit better.

"Jane, we're heading out," Lois murmured, rubbing her forehead.

"Now?" Jane blinked in surprise.

"Yes." Lois took a small sip of water and gave a bitter smile. "We're still on the clock."

"Hope White doesn't dock our pay," Clark added with a chuckle.

"Oh, poor office workers," Darcy sighed and nudged Jane's arm. "You're not going to dock my pay too, are you?"

"That depends on your performance. But judging from how things are now… tsk tsk."

Darcy's face fell.

Everyone chuckled.

Jane held back a laugh and looked at Thor. "What about you? What's your plan?"

Without hesitation, Thor replied, "I'm going with Clark."

Jane looked a bit disappointed. She had hoped to pry more fascinating stories about the universe out of Thor. But she still had work to deal with...

Thinking of that, she said, "I'll be heading to New York in a while. I'll contact you then."

Thor nodded, smiled, and stepped closer to Jane. His deep blue eyes locked onto hers until he saw a rosy blush rise on her face. Then, in a low voice, he said, "Thank you for your help and care. Once you're in New York, I'll make sure you're properly welcomed."

Jane pushed him away forcefully, patted her chest, and exhaled.

Watching this, Darcy and Dr. Selvig quietly chuckled to themselves.

"Goodbye."

Thor smiled, took two steps back, and left with Clark.

Queens, New York.

As usual, Mike wrote the day's special on the chalkboard before returning to the kitchen to start prepping.

Though he only served one dish a day and gave customers no choice, his place had gained a loyal following thanks to the incredible taste.

No matter what Mike cooked, his regulars would drop by every few days for a meal.

Though the place never got too crowded—just one or two people at a time…

With an attitude that screamed "Whatever you cook, I'll eat," Mike was left speechless.

These people are just too easy to please...

Maybe he should close the restaurant for a while—wait until his loyal customers drifted away a bit before reopening?

Not a bad idea.

Mike nodded to himself in thought.

Just then, his phone suddenly rang.

Clark?

Mike raised an eyebrow and answered the call.

"Dad, are you at the restaurant?"

"I am. You're back already?"

"Yeah, we're heading there now."

We?

Mike arched an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I've got two friends with me," Clark replied, then chuckled. "I didn't eat anything on the flight, and we'll be there in about half an hour."

"Got it. I'll whip something up for you."

Mike shook his head with a smile and hung up.

After hanging a "Temporarily Closed" sign on the door, he returned to the kitchen.

Timing was perfect—just as Clark stepped into the shop, Mike had finished cooking four dishes.

"Dad!"

Clark grinned and gave Mike a quick hug, then pointed to the two people standing behind him. "This is my colleague Lois, and my friend Thor."

Mike: "…"

Lois? Thor?

He knew Lois was Clark's colleague. But Thor?

Wasn't he in New Mexico?

The hammer of Thor?

A thought flashed through Mike's mind. He glanced at Clark in confusion.

Clark tilted his head slightly and leaned in to whisper, "I'll explain everything later."

Mike gave a small nod, then turned to the others. "Mike Kent, Clark's father."

Lois quickly reached out to shake his hand, her eyes still wide with curiosity. She couldn't help blurting, "Uncle, are you really Clark's dad?"

Mike laughed and pointed at himself. "I don't look the part, huh?"

Lois said in admiration, "You look way too young."

Mike looked even younger than she did—aside from the graying hair at his temples, there wasn't a trace of middle age on him.

"Thor," Thor said, reaching out for a handshake and giving a nod.

Though polite enough, his expression remained haughty, carrying an air of superiority.

Mike raised an eyebrow. "You must be hungry. Let's eat first."
