Venom Spider-Man Eddie wore a sly smile as he coldly addressed the camera: "Every five minutes, I'll eat a hostage. So, Spider-Man, make your choice."
The moment he finished speaking, the entire city seemed to fall silent, with only his wild laughter echoing through the TV speakers.
People watched in horror, silently praying for the kidnapped TV station employees.
Some frantically called the police, hoping for a swift rescue.
Others anxiously followed the unfolding situation, desperate for Spider-Man to appear and end the crisis.
Alex Ray watched the scene on TV with a faint smile.
He thought, Venom Eddie is quite the provocateur, using this cruel game to taunt Spider-Man.
But for Alex, this was a golden opportunity.
Now he didn't have to search aimlessly for Mary.
He didn't have to agonize over a choice—he could try to save them all.
Without hesitation, Alex called Deadpool and ordered him to rescue Peter's girlfriend, Mary.
Then Alex took to the skies, flying swiftly toward the TV station.
He darted through the city streets and alleys, a blur in the night.
Using his supernatural powers, he effortlessly avoided obstacles and traps, heading straight for the TV station.
Five minutes seemed to pass in an instant, and the citizens waited anxiously for Spider-Man's arrival.
But the hero never appeared.
As the tense wait stretched on, Venom Eddie's patience wore thin.
The live camera in the TV station nervously captured the unfolding scene. The hostages were pale and trembling with fear.
Eddie sneered at them, then morphed his venom into a flexible tentacle that swiftly wrapped around the neck of a crew member, yanking him forward.
"Looks like Spider-Man's a no-show," Eddie mocked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Well, let me teach him a lesson first."
Venom's monstrous maw opened wide, swallowing the hostage whole in a single gulp.
He sneered arrogantly into the camera. "Five minutes are up. This is what happens when you fail, Spider-Man. Now, let's wait for the next five minutes."
Meanwhile, Vulture flew over a nearby bridge.
Mary was tied tightly with thick ropes, her face pale, eyes wide with terror.
Vulture sneered. "Looks like your Peter won't be coming to save you."
Mary's heart felt like it had been crushed.
She was shocked to learn that her quiet, ragged neighbor Peter—the one she had barely noticed—was actually the legendary Spider-Man.
Even more terrifying was the realization that she had no feelings for him, yet was now in grave danger because of his identity.
She looked up at Vulture, pleading desperately, "Please let me go. I don't know any Spider-Man. I have a boyfriend—I'm not connected to Peter at all."
Tears filled her voice as she hoped for mercy.
She just wanted to sever all ties to this nightmare to save her own life.
But Vulture ignored her pleas, a cruel smile twisting his lips.
He leaned down and taunted, "Tell me, if you fall from here, do you think you'll survive?"
Mary glanced down at the concrete far below—at least fifteen stories down—and knew she'd be crushed.
Despair gripped her heart as she begged, "Please, I'll do anything. Just let me go."
But Vulture remained merciless.
He sneered with contempt, then suddenly opened fire into the street below.
Bullets whizzed through the air, scattering pedestrians who fled in all directions.
At that moment, police arrived and launched a counterattack.
They surrounded Venom Eddie and Vulture, trying to subdue them with gunfire.
But conventional weapons were useless against Venom and Vulture.
Their bodies absorbed every bullet, leaving the police frustrated and powerless.
And with hostages held in their grips, the officers dared not shoot recklessly.
They cautiously searched for openings.
But this stalemate caused many casualties among the police and special forces.
Injuries mounted and some died tragically.
The terrified citizens panicked and fled, desperate to escape the chaos.
Venom Eddie's words plunged the TV station hostages into despair.
They looked at him helplessly, fear and powerlessness filling their hearts.
Eddie reveled in it, trying to turn them against Spider-Man with his mocking tone.
"Remember," Eddie said coldly, "you're dying because of Spider-Man."
His words ignited anger among the hostages, who began to curse Spider-Man bitterly.
"Spider-Man, you coward!"
"Come save me, Spider-Man! You're supposed to be a hero—why won't you come?"
The people watching at home grew disillusioned, too.
Once proud to call Spider-Man their protector, they now doubted his courage and ability.
Then, without warning, Venom Eddie began his gruesome feast.
He grabbed a random hostage and swallowed him whole, a twisted smile on his face as if enjoying the cruelty.
Just as he moved to claim a second victim, countless steel bars suddenly hurtled toward him.
Eddie dodged deftly but his expression turned sharp with suspicion.
"Who's there?!" he barked, voice laced with anger and vigilance.
A figure fell from the sky—Alex Ray, arriving at last.
He descended like a god, radiating a mysterious, powerful aura.
The people on the TV screen and the hostages stared in surprise and awe.
Their eyes filled with hope and admiration for Alex, as if seeing a glimmer of salvation.
Children in the crowd pointed upward, their innocent voices asking, "Mom, is that God?"
Their simple question brought a flicker of warmth and hope to everyone present.
Alex heard the child and turned slightly, tenderness flickering in his eyes.
He smiled and said, "You can call me Alex Ray, but I'm no god. If you must give me a title, call me the Lord of Hell."
His words startled the crowd.
They had thought him a divine savior but now he claimed a darker title.
Yet despite the surprise, his presence kindled hope.
Whoever he was, they believed he had the power to save them.
But for Alex, he didn't care about their fate.
He was just an ordinary man from another universe, with one mission: to eliminate Venom Eddie and return home.
He had no selfless desires or heroic ideals.
He was a selfish mortal focused only on his task and goals.
