Chapter 214: Chapter 214: Comparing People

As soon as she stepped into Galacta's sub-dimensional space, Wanda's brows furrowed slightly. She could feel an incredibly powerful force pressing down on her.

Though formidable, the force lacked consciousness—it was merely an instinctive form of self-defense.

"This creature actually has a defensive instinct? No wonder it's a parasite inside a sub-god entity. It's definitely not ordinary!"

Wanda was slightly startled, but the situation was still within her expectations. After all, the parasite was living inside Galacta; it couldn't be as simple as an ordinary Earth creature. It made sense for it to have some special abilities.

"In that case, I'll make my move!"

With a sharp glint in her eyes, the "Wanda" inside the sub-dimension suddenly became surrounded by numerous circular shield-shaped magic arrays. With a low chant, countless thick golden tentacles shot out from the formations, lunging toward the tapeworm.

Sensing the threat, the tapeworm's eyes flashed with a fierce glint. In an instant, its body elongated to over twenty meters, resembling a massive python.

There was no denying that the sudden expansion of the tapeworm was visually impactful for Wanda.

The creature lashed its enormous body, lifting its head high and opening its gaping maw. From within, a powerful beam of light blasted forth, annihilating the incoming tentacles in an instant.

Inside its mouth, rows of razor-sharp teeth gleamed menacingly—anything caught in its jaws would undoubtedly be shredded to pieces in an instant.

A trace of fear instinctively flickered through Wanda's heart, but she quickly suppressed it. With a soft scoff, she sneered, "A massive body means restricted movement. Even your own vision will be limited!"

Energy surged around "Wanda" as she adjusted her approach. Since a frontal assault wasn't guaranteed to work, she had to rely on her agility and exploit the enemy's lack of mobility.

She spread her fingers, conjuring two golden chains made of magic. Then, with a step into the air, a powerful sonic boom erupted beneath her feet, propelling her body forward in an instant.

Seizing the opportunity, "Wanda" swung the chains, wrapping them tightly around the tapeworm's body layer by layer, binding it firmly.

Her movements were swift, precise, and decisive—without a moment's hesitation.

As the golden chains tightened around the tapeworm, "Wanda" didn't stop there. In the real world, the real Wanda swiftly formed a new hand seal. Inside the sub-dimension, her projection instantly shattered into countless golden light particles, pressing down on the tapeworm with immense force, rendering it completely immobile no matter how hard it struggled.

"I've got it!" Wanda declared.

"Really? That's great! Hurry up and deal with it," Galacta said.

However, instead of acting immediately, Wanda hesitated. A peculiar expression crossed her face as she used her psychic energy, which was suppressing the tapeworm, to probe it more carefully. Her expression grew even stranger.

Suddenly, she raised her head and looked at Galacta. "When did you first notice this tapeworm inside you?" she asked.

Galacta thought for a moment before replying, "It's been there since I can remember. This thing is the reason I always feel hungry. It's so annoying."

Since it had been there for as long as Galacta could remember, that meant the tapeworm was likely as old as Galacta herself—perhaps even identical in age.

Moreover, Wanda had sensed something peculiar from the tapeworm—an unfamiliar yet oddly familiar aura. Upon closer examination, she realized that it was Galacta's own energy signature.

But it wasn't just that the tapeworm had absorbed Galacta's energy over time. No—its very being carried the same aura, as if it had always been part of Galacta. It was akin to how parent and child share the same DNA—this tapeworm and Galacta had identical DNA.

"This… might not be an ordinary parasitic creature."

Wanda shared her discovery with Galacta. The latter fell into silent contemplation.

The tapeworm actually shares the same DNA as her? Does that mean it comes from the same origin as herself?

But why had she never known about this? Galacta had always thought it was just an unusual parasite, never considering any connection between herself and it.

"Is it possible to get rid of it?" Galacta asked again, as this tapeworm had been troubling her for far too long.

"We can give it a try."

Wanda's golden aura instantly shifted, replaced by strands of crimson light.

The golden light earlier had been the result of her training in the Supreme Sanctuary's magic—magic drawn from the power of the Supreme Mage. Now, however, the light surrounding her was the essence of her own Chaos Magic.

In terms of destructive power, Chaos Magic was certainly stronger than the magic of the Supreme Mage.

The magic of the Supreme Mage was based on the ordinary, basic, and intermediate-level spells, whereas Chaos Magic had the prefix "Chaos," signifying its cosmic-level potency. It could never be weaker than any magic from the Supreme Sanctuary.

Normally, Wanda used the power of the Supreme Mage's magic, rarely relying on her own Chaos Magic.

Ancient One and Han Yu had both told her that Chaos Magic was incredibly powerful, with the ability to alter reality itself. They advised her not to use it unless absolutely necessary.

After hearing this from both of them, Wanda had been cautious, viewing Chaos Magic as a reservoir of boundless energy she could draw on only when needed. She refrained from using it unless the situation truly demanded it.

It would automatically replenish whenever Wanda's use of the Supreme Mage's magic began to noticeably diminish.

It was as if she had an endless battery, never needing to worry about running out of power. This was also why she could casually study advanced magic that others would spend half their lives—or even a whole life—trying to master.

The golden light was now replaced by the crimson Chaos Magic. The tapeworm, bound by the magical chains, immediately sensed the danger and began to thrash violently.

It twisted its body and gnawed at the chains, but it was all in vain. While Wanda had little combat experience, capturing a creature resembling a tapeworm was no challenge for her.

In the blink of an eye, the magic surrounding the tapeworm was replaced with Chaos Magic, and the violent nature of the Chaos Magic caused the tapeworm to tremble.

Though Galacta was a singular cosmic-level deity—classified as a lesser god—the tapeworm inside her was nowhere near that powerful. At best, it was on the level of a Father-level entity, or perhaps even weaker.

Wanda, though still officially a novice Supreme Mage, already possessed power that matched or even surpassed that of a full Supreme Mage.

Now, even the Ancient One could not compete with her in terms of magical reserves.

Even Ancient One let out a sigh.

"People really can make you want to give up…"

"Each particle of magic carries the destructive force of an intercontinental missile. To avoid harming Galacta, I'll start with this level of force and see how it goes."
