"I'm afraid you can't rely on that information," the older man said firmly, making the other two nervous.
...
"Why would you say that, old man?" Liu Feiyang asked.
"It's because, although that book contained a lot of information about the 3,000 worlds, it was also wrong about a few things and missed many details. For example, the Three Spirit Races—there is absolutely no mention of them. The situation of the Quincy Spirit Race might be dire, or they might already have gone extinct, with you being the last one. However, the other two races are spread throughout the outer universe," the old man explained.
"Wait a second. Are you implying there are probably many more people with the same powers as me?" Liu Feiyang was surprised by this revelation. Even when White mentioned the Light Spirit Race, he had planned to ask about them later, but it never crossed his mind that he might not be the only one.
'What kind of people are they? How strong are they? Do they have a group or something?' These questions raced through his mind.
"There's no reason to suggest otherwise. But that's just one example. The book also undermined the importance and versatility of array masters, with almost no mention of talismans. To explain it simply, based on your previous life's memories, you can think of them as magicians."
"M-M-Magicians? You mean the ones who can use spells and formation circles, like in my memories?" Liu Feiyang didn't know how to react to this revelation. From what he knew, there were no such things in the Martial Peak world.
"Certainly. If you've noticed in that book, alchemists and artifact refiners often create and invoke dozens of arrays while refining a single pill or artifact. Why do you think it's not possible to use such techniques in battle?"
The old man's words made perfect sense. Liu Feiyang had never thought of such things before, as finding too much logic in a manhua would have been pointless. But now, it seemed this world was far more logical and expansive than he had imagined.
"Could you tell me about a few other things that are very important but were not present in the story?" Liu Feiyang asked.
"The list could go on for a long time, and most of these things won't concern you for a while. However, I can mention a few important ones—curses, sorcerers, various divine bodies, and innate divine abilities such as soul, sonic, and eye techniques, among others," the old man replied, satisfying Liu Feiyang's curiosity.
"S-Sorcerers and curses? You mean curses that form from the accumulation of cursed energy caused by the negative emotions of humans?" Liu Feiyang was stunned.
'How the heck did Jujutsu Kaisen come into this?'
"Since we've started this topic, let me explain it clearly. Everything in this world contains some form of energy, whether it's spiritual energy, Qi, or even matter itself, which is also a form of energy—thus, a Source, which is further divided into Yin and Yang. Sentient beings who can't cultivate have a very small amount of energy, but it's present nonetheless. When they experience negative emotions, the darkness or Yin within them intensifies, and a part of it is released outside, as they are unable to regulate it. The accumulation of this energy gives rise to curses," the old man explained. By this point, both Liu Feiyang and White were sitting intently, listening to his words.
He continued, "Sorcerers were among the first humans born with supernatural abilities. They were some of the earliest cultivators, predating the establishment of the systematized cultivation system we know of today. They possess a special body that allows them to control the power of darkness and accumulate strength by devouring the essence of curses. They also possess unique divine abilities, which they use to kill curses and protect humans.
After modern cultivators emerged, they began dealing with curses in place of sorcerers. Over time, the need for sorcerers diminished, and even the world's principles changed to the point where sorcerers are now born only once in a thousand years—or even less—apart from those with rare sorcerer bloodlines." and with that the explanation ended.
This was a lot to take in and it took a few moments for Liu Feiyang to process everything. Finally, he said, "I understand. I now realize that whatever plans I had for the future aren't going to be enough. I was foolish to think that with the powers I have, combined with my future knowledge, I would one day become invincible."
His gaze fell to the ground, but he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, are you getting scared before you've even begun? What are you, a coward? You should learn something from the original MC." White said.
Liu Feiyang turned toward White, staring at him with raised brows and a small smile that clearly said, 'Look, I get you're right, but you could have phrased it better.'
A long breath escaped him. "Yeah, you're right. If I can't even handle these challenges, I shouldn't have the ambitions I do to begin with," he said, straightening his back, his eyes now filled with determination.
White smirked and tapped his back.
"And… don't you guys think you should tell me about yourselves? Both of you already know everything about me, but your introductions are still due."
The old man and White glanced at each other for a moment, seemingly coming to an understanding with a single look.
Snapping his fingers, White pointed to himself. "Let's start with me. I am, as you might have guessed, your Zanpakuto. You'll call me White—at least until you can hear my real name, which is __________ ."
Liu Feiyang was surprised that he could hear everything White said clearly, except for the last part, which was blurred. "Hey, can you repeat that once more?"
"You're not going to hear it even after a thousand tries. ____________ ___________ ___________."
"Yeah, you're strangely right. What's even stranger is that I've forgotten your name from the Bleach anime. Every other detail is intact, but the parts that probably had your name are completely gone."
"Zanpakutos work in mysterious ways, even more so than divine spirits," the old man added.
Liu Feiyang nodded in understanding, and White continued, "The Zanpakuto is like a Source, similar to what you see in divine, holy, or cursed spirits. The difference is, we have our own will."
"A conscious and sentient Source?"
"Exactly! One with its own spirit, which is why we also call Zanpakutos—a spirit Source. Only two races possess these: the Light Spirit Race and the Dark Spirit Race. They call themselves separate races, but they can be considered humans with a special bloodline and Source.
You, however, happen to have both bloodlines, which shouuuld... be impossible. There has never been a precedent of someone having both, due to their inherently opposing natures. Even if members of these races were to reproduce—which has happened a few times—the child would either have only one bloodline or none at all."
"So, I'm the first of my kind?" Liu Feiyang asked excitedly.
"Yes, WE are the first of our kind. But that's also why you need to familiarize yourself with this power before anything else," White said, stretching out his right hand. A small purple sphere of energy formed in his palm.
It gave off an ethereal and powerful feeling. Liu Feiyang moved closer to inspect it, sensing its nature.
The first thing he felt was harmony. He hadn't known something could feel so powerful and yet so balanced. It obviously had two aspects: one he had recently become familiar with—Yang and the other, which he could guess due to its opposite nature—Yin.
Although he was experiencing this power for the first time, it felt strangely familiar. "I don't know how I am able to describe it, but I can tell this is a perfect combination of Yin and Yang. It's incredibly calm yet packs explosive power. It's completely harmonious, and its potential is nothing short of boundless."
"Hehe, try holding it, then," White said, extending his hand and placing the sphere in Liu Feiyang's palm.
As soon as it landed, the sphere began to disperse into two different energies—red and golden. Liu Feiyang panicked and tried to stabilize it, but he couldn't harmonize the two energies. They clashed violently in his hands.
'Fuck, how am I supposed to handle this!?' He tried various methods, but they only increased the dispersion rate. After a few moments, most of the energy had dissipated, leaving behind a much smaller golden sphere.
"Hah… hah…" He panted, sweat dripping down his face. "Even I'm surprised at how exhausted I am after failing such an 'easy' task."
"It's no easy task, Liu Feiyang. Combining Yin and Yang is not something everyone can do, even with complete dedication," the old man said.
"What about me?"
"You can, because you're alive."
"Huh? What do you mean by that?"
"Leave it. That old man sometimes likes to talk in riddles. What he means is that since you were able to be born, your body and soul are already accustomed to containing this power. You just need to focus your mind on using it. Otherwise, it will disperse into Yin and Yang as soon as it leaves your body."
"I see," Liu Feiyang said, clenching his fist and dispersing the remaining golden Qi. He was determined to make this power his own.
He turned to the old man, as it was his turn now. The old man said, "I am the manifestation of your Quincy powers, a spirit taking the form of Tian Ling Zun—the First Quincy and the progenitor of the entire race.
I was born alongside White when you were conceived and gained consciousness after you were born. I don't know why I took this form or why I was born in the first place but I do have a purpose: to protect you."
Liu Feiyang was glad to have someone so wise on his side, much like Ichigo from Bleach. "It doesn't matter why or how you're here. As long as you're on my side, nothing else matters."
"I am both glad and relieved to know you feel that way," the old man said.

As you all have would have already guessed, there will be a lot new things in this story apart from just martial peak but don't worry, everything will be properly and naturally explained as the story progresses. The change to the main plot won't be much but there will be new OCs including new powerful villains which can be a proper challenge to our MC. Some existing characters might get backstories to add more depth to them including a few fights which I hope you will all love. Like
