Magus Supremacy

Chapter 336: Apex Clash!

"I will help," Noir said calmly, his voice echoing in Grey's mind with resonant power. Then, with a mighty thrust of his horn, he unleashed twin beams of radiant, crackling energy—colliding head-on with the incoming twin lasers from the monstrous wolf.

BOOM!

A cataclysmic explosion detonated midair, sending a spiraling shockwave across the battlefield.

Dust and smoke billowed violently outward as the two opposing forces canceled each other out. The ground trembled beneath everyone's feet, and for a heartbeat, silence reigned.

From within the dispersing haze, the ogre's deep voice rumbled with disbelief. "Huh? A beast? Why is a beast aiding a human?"

"A beast?" Noir's voice snarled within the ogre's mind, fury laced in every syllable. "Who the hell are you calling a beast?!"

"Oh? It speaks," the ogre said with a slight nod, his tone amused. "Interesting."

"Grey… what in the world is that?" Greg asked, eyes wide with astonishment as he pointed at the massive creature before them—its sleek fur glistening like obsidian in the sun, horn crackling with latent energy.

"My familiar," Grey answered flatly, his eyes never leaving the enemy ahead.

Kael, brushing soot from his robes as he rejoined the group, raised an eyebrow. "Not only are you strong, you've got a familiar now, too? Not bad, Crimson. Not bad at all."

Their brief exchange was cut short as the ogre spoke again, his voice like thunder rolling across the sky. "Enough chatter. Our mission is clear—wipe every one of you out. Let's begin with the weakest."

With that final declaration, the three bosses surged forward in a synchronized blitz, moving so fast they blurred—living natural disasters racing toward destruction.

"Noir! With me!" Grey yelled, leaping into the air. He landed with practiced ease on his familiar's broad back. In an instant, Noir shot forward, a black streak of speed aimed straight at the charging ogre.

"Raze! You're with me!" Amir barked, his aura flaring as he sprinted forward. Raze followed closely behind, both locking their eyes on the ten-armed gorilla whose every step cracked the ground.

Kael rolled his shoulders, lightning gathering in his palms. "This isn't a fight for everyone," he said, his voice cold and focused. "I'll take those who won't get in my way. Max. Lyra. Dante. You're with me."

"Wait—what about the rest of us?!" Dave called out, stepping forward as panic gripped his voice.

"If I didn't pick you," Kael turned slightly, about to respond when a monstrous howl interrupted him. He whirled around just in time to see the dark-furred wolf exploding into motion—charging like a bolt of death across the shattered arena floor.

Without hesitation, Kael crouched low. Electricity snapped around his hands as he slammed them into the earth.

A jagged bolt tore forward with brutal velocity. But before the lightning could reach its target, the wolf soared into the air, avoiding the strike with a graceful, terrifying ease.

Then came retaliation—four consecutive laser beams, blindingly fast, aimed with deadly precision.

Kael's eyes narrowed. "Means you're too weak," he muttered at Dave, finishing his sentence.

With a flick of his wrist, shadows erupted from the ground like a wave, absorbing the deadly beams.

Above the wolf, a spatial rift cracked open in the sky, and the absorbed energy reappeared—fired back down at the airborne beast with vengeful force.

But the wolf was faster. With almost supernatural agility, it zipped to the side, dodging the redirected attack. The beams scorched the arena floor, carving deep molten trenches in their wake.

Before the creature could regain control, a sharp whistle cut through the air. Twenty wind-forged blades streaked toward the beast, howling like banshees.

The wolf retaliated with a flurry of laser shots, shattering the incoming blades mid-air in a series of brilliant detonations.

The clash between titans had begun.

"Yeah, so stay back and let us do what we can," Max growled, his voice like a thunderclap echoing through the battlefield.

Lightning surged around his boots in crackling arcs, igniting the ground with sparks as he dashed forward in a blur of electric speed.

The monstrous wolf snarled, its eyes glowing with crimson fury before launching two concentrated beams of searing energy straight at Max.

With a sharp pivot and a flash of lightning beneath his soles, Max twisted his body, narrowly dodging them.

The beast fired again—twin lasers hissing through the air—but Max leapt high into the sky with supernatural agility, lightning rippling through his arms.

With a sharp clap of his hands, fifty lightning arrows erupted like a storm from his palms, raining down toward the beast like a divine onslaught.

Zip!

The wolf zigzagged across the ruined arena with terrifying speed, each of the electrified arrows detonating into craters as they struck the ground, kicking up waves of fire, dust, and stone.

"Dante!" Lyra shouted, her hair whipping around her in the swirling wind as she crossed her arms in an 'X'.

With a surge of elemental force, she unleashed twin cyclonic tornadoes that howled across the battlefield, tearing deep trenches in the stone floor as they spiraled toward the beast.

Boom!

In response, the wolf slammed its paws into the earth, and a towering mound of stone erupted from the ground, shielding it momentarily.

The tornadoes smashed into the barrier, ripping through with shrieking force—only to find the wolf had already vanished from sight.

"On it!" Dante barked, reacting instantly.

He snapped his fingers repeatedly, summoning boulder after boulder in rapid succession.

The massive rocks flew toward the wolf, but the beast twisted and danced through the barrage with uncanny agility, leaping from side to side like a black blur of death.

Then, with a thunderous leap, it slammed both paws into a descending boulder—using it like a springboard—and launched itself forward with blinding speed, its eyes locked on Dante.

With a violent jerk of its head, the beast thrust both horns forward and unleashed four searing beams of light, each one burning hotter than hellfire.

Dante was mid-spell, his hands glowing, but he was too slow. The lasers blazed toward him, mere inches from his face—

Woosh!

A massive wall of shadow erupted from the ground, intercepting the beams just in time, absorbing them into the dark abyss before they could connect.

Kael's shadows had saved him.

Before the wolf could react again, Lyra sent a barrage of howling wind blades that screamed toward the beast like spectral scythes. It zipped away in a blur, dodging the blades—only to be caught mid-motion by twenty thunder-infused arrows hurled by Max.

Boom!

The arrows struck true, exploding on contact and hurling the beast across the arena like a ragdoll.

"My turn," Kael muttered, his eyes crackling with energy.

Lightning surged from the ground up his legs as he launched himself forward with a deafening crack, moving at a speed that seemed to bend reality. In his grip, a sword of pure lightning manifested, humming with unstable power.

In one fluid motion, Kael leapt into the air and swung downward, unleashing a wide arc of lightning energy that sliced through the air toward the stunned beast.

Fwoooom!

But the wolf recovered midair with terrifying reflexes, twisting its body just in time. The lightning slash carved a crater into the earth where it once stood, blasting debris in every direction.

Kael landed, bracing himself—only for a sudden gust of wind to slam into his chest. He stumbled, and his eyes widened as two crimson orbs glared at him from the dust.

Crack!

The beast's claws shot out like twin guillotines.

Clang!

A deafening clang rang out as a wall of solid metal burst from the ground, shielding Kael. Sparks flew as the claws shredded the metal wall like paper—but it bought enough time.

Kael rolled away, breath heavy, a single bead of sweat rolling down his cheek.

He turned—and saw Dave standing firm, his hands still glowing with residual mana.

"Now would you call me weak?" Dave asked through gritted teeth, a defiant scowl on his face.

Kael didn't smile. He simply raised his finger, still glowing with crackling power, and pointed at the wolf still tangling with Lyra, Dante, and Max.

"To me?" he said calmly.

"You're still weak."

Then lightning burst from his fingertip like a lance, tearing through the battlefield with a roar, splitting the ground as it surged toward the target at breakneck speed.
