NOVEL WEB Chapter 60 Quest Upgraded
I couldn't practice spells in the library, I could borrow the spell book but I already read all the instructions I just needed to practice and possibly learn a spell on my own, There were other basic spells there but I wasn't going to get into all of it today and if I did carrying spell books back to the dorm isn't something I want to do.
I glanced at the woman still sleeping peacefully, but then I heard a laugh coming from the door, and some girls walked into the library.
Mirabel, Clara, and the twin walked in laughing, but when they got in, they stopped as they saw the woman sleeping. I was sure this wasn't their first time as they just walked past her without disturbing her, heading for the second floor.
I quickly moved away quietly; I didn't want the girls to see me; I had no reason for that. It was just instincts, and I was dead on.
The girls walked till they got to a reading table with four chairs, and they all sat down; I stood at another shelf, not too close but not far enough.
"So the winner would be the other person's slave?" One of the twins asked the princess.
"Yes," Mirabel replied, "But there's no way to make that actually happen, if I win, he's obviously going to be my slave but on the off chance that he wins, why should I obey him"
"He's not going to win as long as it's swords and magic; you don't even have to use a sword; your spells are enough to kill even powerful beasts," Clara spoke.
What did I expect, of course they was no way to get the princess to obey me, if I won, if I gave a command and she refused what would I do, I couldn't hurt her, I'd be expelled immediately, and I can't force her because we didn't make any pact or deal in writing.
And I can't cancel the duel since the system already made it a quest I have to win by all means; even though she won't be my slave, I'm sure it'll still be good if I win.

What that! The quest has been upgraded to a slave band; the goddess really knows her stuff; a slave band meaning if I get the princess to wear it, then she would be my slave without a choice.
I listened in as I heard them talking; Clara, who I thought was a nice person, I guess she was just pretending.
"I'm going to win, but there's just something about him; the confidence he has is really something else; maybe he has a trump card that he's hiding," Mirabel spoke.
"So what do you want us to do, a duel like this? I'm sure the whole students would be watching," Clara spoke.
"I don't want you girls to do anything, I'm going to win"
"Of course, you were the strongest mage among all the students; even with all his training, his sword still wouldn't be able to cut through your defense," one of the twins replied.
"So after you make him your slave, what are you planning to do?" Clara asked.
"Since you're asking, I'm sure you want something from him, what do you want?"
"Well, it's not much... maybe you'll just let me play with him a little, for maybe an hour, just tell him to do anything I want" Clara answered.
"For an hour, you want to have sex with him. Just say it; you're still a virgin who wants to know how a male is." Both of the twins chuckled as they spoke.
"Just because you're not virgins doesn't mean anything; I just want to play with him, is all," Clara spoke.
I couldn't believe these girls; they were already deciding my fate, and I hadn't even lost yet. I couldn't blame them since Mirabel was powerful; a stage 8 mage isn't something to joke with.
But I'm glad I'm here to listen to all of this; if I was told Clara was like this, I wouldn't believe it; I'm sure it wasn't a coincidence that all four of them were roommates; Mirabel was the first princess after all.
"All of you would get the chance to play with him if you wish, but he's mine," Mirabel spoke.
I had heard enough already; I slowly turned around and walked away; the library had different stairs, so I was going to use the other one. Find your next adventure on empire
I quickly made my way down and exited the library. The librarian was still asleep, but I'll come back for her; for now, I really need to train.
As I made my way back to the dorm, I could still see some of the students training; among those students was Mary, who was waving around a wooden sword; since I had nothing to do back in my room, I walked towards the training ground.
"Why aren't you using a training doll?" I asked and Mary quickly turned around.
"Oh...I don't really like it, I prefer training like this or preferably with someone else.
"Alright, let's spar; I want you to attack me for a whole minute while I'll do nothing but block, then I'll attack you for another minute where you'll also do nothing but block," I spoke as I picked a wooden sword.
"Okay," Mary spoke.
"Ready...go"
Mary came at me quickly with an overhead strike; if this was a real battle, our swords wouldn't need to clash before I took her head, but it was just training, so I blocked her attack and moved backward a little.
This time, she came over with a barrage of attacks, swinging her sword randomly, hoping to put me off, but I blocked each of them precisely without breaking a sweat.
