35 – Matthew 22:21
Matthew 22:21
They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
The girls were excited coming down from the adrenaline while sharing everything that happened during the test with each other on their bus ride back to the main building.
Unfortunately he had to say goodbye to them there, but not before they all shared their phone numbers to the two girls' delight.
Himiko and Momo were already waiting for him at the main building with impatience.
"Who were they?" Himiko asked with a glint in her eyes.
"Yeah James, who were they?" Momo agreed.
He sighed. They hadn't even greeted him and were already questioning him.
"They were in the same test group. I think they did pretty well so they might be our future classmates," he answered nonchalantly, ignoring their implications.
"Hmmm... is that so?" Himiko said.
"Should there be anything else? he asked.
"No no nothing else." she responded hurriedly.
The girls immediately grabbed onto his arms to make him forget and further reinforce their claim on him. They were already unhappy having each other as competition, they didn't need even more competition. They didn't realise there was lots more competition and unlike their previous school where most of the other girls that weren't canon characters and pretty average looking. However the more prominent characters from the show they were going to be surrounded by once they joined Midoriya's class were going to be much more of a competition both in power and appearance. Mob characters could never compare to a heroine in any work of fiction after all, authors made sure of that.
What about all the maids, teachers and assorted women he slept with you ask? Those didn't count. They felt they were on a different level to them and believed they actually had a place in his heart. They were right they were on a different level. Unfortunately for them he might have a place for them in his plans, but his heart only had space for one... himself. He didn't mind them dreaming though, rather he encouraged it. Otherwise how were they going to be dependent on him?
He was like their own personally tailored drug, he made them feel safe, secure and more. He hadn't even started sleeping with them yet and they were already hooked.
They were told they should get a letter about whether they were accepted in about a week, which James already knew. Momo didn't care since she had already been accepted without needing to complete the entrance exam.
The limousine was already waiting for them to pick them up and some of the other girls squealed when they saw him open the door for the two girls before getting in himself as they imagined themselves in Himiko and Momo's place.
"Why couldn't they have real villains? I couldn't even make them bleed," Himiko lamented.
"At least the other participants did," she continued with a smile.
"Well I'm glad you at least had some fun. How did your test go?" James asked curiously.
"Fine, it was a bit boring. We've gone through harder training than this test," she said smugly.
It was true. Though not as wealthy as U.A. his family was still one of the wealthiest in all of Japan and could afford the best training equipment which James made sure to take full advantage of to assist his own training which Momo and Himiko frequently tagged along in. There probably hadn't ever been any students more prepared to attend U.A. than them. If not for some pesky laws and building his image James could even have skipped the entire thing as he already exceeded most U.A. graduates before even being admitted.
The government wasn't too keen on granting licenses to people that didn't go through the proper channels. Which meant attending a hero school where all the students were trained, educated and screened for any "problematic" personalities. Though the world of My Hero Academia might look bright upon a surface inspection plenty of potential heroes got their futures destroyed or even disappeared because the Hero Public Safety Commission didn't like their quirk or their personality wasn't compliant enough.
Brainwashing and assassinations galore. Although he had a lot of influence as a Busujima and was already very powerful he would rather not run afoul of them yet. At least not until he was sure he could crush any opposition or take them over. Until then he would play nice on the surface and be their perfect little hero candidate.
One might think his lustful behaviours that he didn't conceal might be a weak spot, but it wasn't at least not truly. What shadow organisations like the Hero Public Safety Commission hated the most was a hero without flaws they couldn't take advantage of. All Might was lucky enough to become powerful enough before he was on their radar so they left him alone. For anyone else though they much preferred one that had a weakness they felt they could use against them so he gladly provided one. That way they would feel like they could control him and give him more free reign, before they even realised it he would have long escaped their grasp. All he had to do was become on the level of someone like All Might and they wouldn't be able to touch him.
"As long as you make it into class 1a to join Momo and me," he said with a smile.
"There's no way I failed," she said not deterred.
"That's my girl," he said with a smirk. Himiko knew no humility though and simply nodded in smug agreement.
"Hey... hey... so seeing all the blood.... you know... I was hoping...." she mumbled while pulling on his shirt with a heavy blush on her cheeks.
He sighed and unbuttoned the top few buttons of his shirt. She didn't hesitate to latch on to his neck and sucked as much blood as he would let her take for the rest of the ride home.
Momo looked somewhat miffed, but had long grown used to Himiko's quirk.
