Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 101: Future plans

Finally, the work was done and everyone went in the small bath they had made at the back of the shelter where no one could peek.

It was not like the men in the group were desperate or perverted but it was normal for the women to bath in private.

The water that Sandra kept collecting inside the shelter with the help of two small makeshift buckets that John's cousin made in order for some extra pieces of smoked meat.

It came as a surprise to Lucas as John had not consulted him for this order of equipment at the expense of some pieces of meat but in his defense, John did the purchase with the help of the meat that he had saved from his quota for later.

Lucas had nothing to say to that and could only offer the meat that he used to buy the makeshift buckets back to him as it was only natural. The bucket was going to be used by the whole shelter's settlers and not a single person.

The bucket was also a very underrated thing, being in a peaceful world with showers and endless water for bathing had made people forget about such basic things like a bucket.

It was a very valuable resource in which Lucas had planned to store the endlessly leaking blood of the Basilons in the next batch of buckets that he ordered with a lot of extra meat they had collected today that would make them not feel like hunting for a month on tops.

'I am confident that the meat won't run out if we even eat it the whole days coming but will it preserve till then?'

That was the question that he didn't have the answer to so he could only leave it to time for the telling.

When the night fell completely, everyone sat near the camp that they blatantly ignited without the fear that someone would come with them as a beacon. The seating arrangement had been upgraded with the help of Haley who apparently had numerous makeshift chairs at her disposal. It was only cramping up the space in the limited spacial storage she had.

When everyone was done eating, the meat pieces were brought outside the shelter in its territory to have it 'dissect' with the shelter's skill.

Lucas didn't repeat the mistake of doing the whole process inside the storage room and making it become a mess again. He had kept them all on the non-fur side of the leathers inside the shelter to not make the floor dirty again.

He activated his skill right in front of everyone's eyes this time and the same old square box formed on all the lumps of body parts.

Lucas didn't have enough mana so he borrowed Ella's staff of mana that made the process a piece of cake. All the parts had different times of completion.

Some only took an hour while the others had a couple of hours latched on them before the process would get completed.

"That is one good skill..." Jerry said in marvel while looking at the boxes of light.

Everyone thought to have done something good in their previous lives to get acquainted with such a man with such a unique skill.

"I think you are the only one present here that has skills inside a skill," Bill said while one of his eyes was shining.

"I gave you permission for a short time, Bill. It has already been a few seconds." Lucas said with an annoyed face.

Now that the guy already knew about his skills and had a peek before. Lucas had let him inspect his data for training his skills-see thorough ability.

But there were still limitations and Lucas only let him look at his stats for a few seconds only.

"Ohh, sorry. Thanks as usual, for the help." Bill said with a smile but inwardly shat his pants while looking at Lucas. Stay tuned to empire

He did not know why but he was scared of Lucas since the time he looked at him with the eye glowing skill that he now knew the name of, 'Perceptive Eyes'.

The conversation shifted to other topics as the night wore on. The group shared stories and a sense of camaraderie, grateful for the respite from the harsh realities of their situation. Lucas, though still maintaining an air of authority, found himself relaxing slightly in the company of his fellow survivors.

Sandra and Haley were more normal than before, they share their happy childhood stories where Kimmy was always the hero or the cause of the happiness they experienced. Lucas was sad again but he shook his head in dismissal of those thoughts.

As they sat around the campfire, the warm glow casting shadows on their faces, they discussed their plans for the next day. The meat that was going to get cut real quick would provide sustenance for a while, but they needed to think about long-term food sources.

They deliberated on various options, considering the possibilities of hunting, finding a river or water body for some fishing, or even cultivating a small garden within the shelter which was already in progress with the seeds that were planted in the shelter's territory.

Lucas, ever the strategist, listened attentively to their suggestions and offered his insights. He encouraged the group to think beyond their immediate needs and consider the sustainability of their food sources.

He proposed setting up more traps to catch small game and discussed the possibility of exploring nearby areas for potential food resources.

Lucas was happy to take in any suggestion as sometimes the most unexpected people give the best advice of their life.

At the end of the day, there was also a small business plan that was going on in his mind for a long time now but he had not implemented it thinking that they were too much in danger with those Kobolds near their territory.

But now, it was over or so he thought...
