Growl!

A very high pitch voiced growl came out of the small Basilon child.

Everyone looked at it with different emotions.

The Basilon looked the same as the adult Basilons but it was just very small, about only two feet in height. It was covered in blood and sticky substance and its eyes were dazed as if it did not know how to look till now.

"What's the plan from here, Aunt Ella?" Lucas asked, the parents were dead and the baby was left in a world like this where it would get killed the second they leave it.

"What plan? We will just bring him along." Ella said without even moving her eyes, she was caressing the little guy's head and scratching it every now and then.

Even if it was just a kid, the skin it had was harder than Jerry's after he activated his hard skin skill.

"Uhh.." Lucas looked at John for help but John darted his eyes to the other direction making no use of his presence as help.

Lucas just shook his head with a sigh... even if they leave without it, he wouldn't be able to sleep at night thinking that he left that just-born animal in the world without any help.

Ella kept the little guy on the ground for the first time and it collapsed right after it was kept down making many giggle at its cuteness. Its eyes were still not opened properly as there seemed to be swelling near its eyelids just like when a human child is born.

"A kobold is dead right in front of us and there is one more but it fled the area there." Lucas pointed at the trail of blood which made many think as to what they were going to do ahead.

"Obviously, we won't travel far from this area as today's objective was to make this area clear from any predators. We can go back now."

Lucas said and then looked at the three bodies in front of them. The Kobold was pickable but taking the two big creatures inside the shelter would be a hassle.

At last, John helped with the planning and it was decided that if they can't take all the parts at the same time, then they will chop the Basilons and take them one step after another.

As predicted, the big basilon was over 300 kgs while the female Basilon corpse was around that weight which was impossible to drag even when they had leveled for such a long time.

Lucas thought of putting all his points in the strength to help but he couldn't be the only one, aside from him and John, everyone had placed the points already. He only knew where Ella placed them as she did it right in front of him.

Lucas rejected the idea of using his free points and he went on with trying to cut Basilon's corpse. They didn't worry about making others attracted by the blood's smell as, if anything wanted to come, it had been done so early but animals had a way of moving according to their instincts.

Sometimes like this one, the Basilon's aura was still lurking around the area and any sane creature unlike the humans would avoid going in such a territory. It was like they knew that it was the lion's territory so no matter how many numbers they had, the animals won't enter it in any normal circumstances.

It was tough to cut the skin but Lucas had done so before, he had not torn the paper of his skill and the weapon till now. Lucas knew he could wield two swords soon but he had to perfect the basics of one sword style.

One by one, Lucas, Jerry, and John with their own weapons tore the limbs apart from the body making a lot of blood go to waste.

The arms were still the overall weight of Lucas but it was easier than picking the whole thing back to the shelter.

Lucas and John made two separate teams to go back as both of them knew the path to the shelter better than most.

Lucas took the whole arm on his own and made his way back to the shelter where Haley met them halfway after seeing them. She used her skill to transport the arms and legs back one at a time as even her skills had their own limitations.

She didn't know clearly but after some certain amount of kilos used in the skill, she couldn't add more but if the things were small such as the plants and eatables, then it felt like the storage was endless.

It took them half of the day to shift the limbs and getting the body was the main part which was still not completed. For help, Haley was tasked with them on this journey and was given many small cut pieces inside her skills to make the big chunk of remaining meat to come with them.

Ella was inside the shelter with the other females marveling at the cute creature that was trying to walk for such a long time yet it still couldn't.

Lucas had complex feelings toward the small cub, it looked innocent right now but one never know with wild animals. People keep them as pets but it comes to a point when they have to send them in the wilderness because they can't handle their ferociousness with age.

When the sun fell from the sky just like in the old times on Earth, everyone was done, the hands and legs were kept inside the storage to preserve them.

So did all the other 500 kilos of meat and leather that was intentionally not ruined from many locations.

John already learned the leatherwork skill and it came with another small headache, nothing new but now he knew how to skin with very less wastage of the leather and meat.
