The room next to them, was a small conference room, but at this moment Reesi was in no mood to check the layout of the conference room, as the forensic team hadn't arrived yet and the bodies of the five victims were still in the room.

So as soon as Reesi turned her head, she smelled an indescribable scent of burnt meat.

"Fu-k!"

Reesi quickly covered her nose, her face looking extremely unpleasant.

"You go retrieve the surveillance footage of this building first."

Luo An showed no particular reaction, casually assigning Reesi's task, and then pulled out gloves from his pocket to put them on before slowly entering the still-warm room.

Hearing this, Luo An directly handed her the fragments he had found beneath the bodies.

Taking the fragments, Reesi examined them carefully, somewhat uncertainly saying:

"Parts of a bottle?"

"Specifically, fragments from a homemade incendiary bottle."

In New York City Council, Democrats hold 51 seats, while Republicans have only three.

Thinking about this, Luo An said:

"So, we can tentatively assume that the target of the killer was Councilman Emmanuel Bain."

Luo An confirmed the next main direction of investigation, Augustus did not oppose, and continued to ask:

Reesi handed over the list of personnel who could enter that meeting room to Luo An, then added:

"Yesterday, Emmanuel first gave a speech at Brooklyn District square, then visited several communities to comfort the public, and finally returned to the government building, where he was interviewed by those four college students."

Luo An nodded, studied the personnel list for a while, then looked up at the agents and said:

"Everyone, next we need to carefully check surveillance footage of areas around the Brooklyn Government Building, absolutely need to know where the man in the gray suit went after leaving the building!

Additionally, the personal relationships, emotional states, and financial situations of those four students also need careful investigation!"

Although the workload was vast and somewhat scattered, William and several technical agents still nodded loudly in agreement.
