Legendary Beast Master: Starting with Contracting SSS Rank Dragon

Chapter 105: Practice

Kael had so many questions after he witnessed the Manifestion of Rias's soul along with many theories that he rejected one after another or kept them on hold.

After wrecking his mind for a while, he gave up on trying to guess her circumstances as he had more important things to do rather than form baseless theories.

"Which Skill should I try out first?" Kael muttered and opened his status to see all the skills he had with him.

With that, most of the unlocked skills flashed by his eyes.

[Unlocked Skills]

[Lightning Mantle (Rare) – Cloaks the user in storm-charged aura, increasing speed and resistance to physical/magic attacks.]

[Tempest Roar (Epic) – A roar that disrupts enemy mana and weakens nearby beasts. Currently weakened version.]

[Ray of Oblivion (Epic) – Fires a condensed beam of draconic energy that erases matter on contact. Applies 'Oblivion Burn' that weakens enemy regeneration.]

[Draconic Insight (Passive) – Grants instinctive battle analysis. Can predict enemy movements, locate weak points, and imitate techniques if observed repeatedly.]

Aside from these, there were also a few Skills he had gotten through his bond with the Lion Family, like Flame Slash, Heart of the Sun, Sunfang Waltz, etc.

But he didn't pay attention to them as they were technically external and since it was a work of Ultimate Skill used by a weakling, he doubted they would be as stable his original skills.

That was why he was focusing on his main skills first. He looked through the skills and wondered where he should start.

'First, you're going on permanent activation mode,' Kael thought as his right hand transformed into the fearsome claws of dragons.

Then, he activated [Beast Sense] which began to send all kinds of information in the 400 metres of area around him.

'Alpha, filter out the important information,' Kael said, feeling annoyed with so much information.

Though it came mostly from three sides as the Great Storm Tree was blank in his senses. He didn't sense anything from there and since the damned tree was hundreds of metres wide, he couldn't even sense the other side of it.

Once that was done, he checked on some of his passive skills and finally decided to move on to the other skills.

These were something he could keep permanently activated now, so he had first focused on them.

After staring at his skills for a moment, he decided to test the limits of his Affinity first. He wanted to see how the Elementary Skills really worked, even though he had tried them a few times already.

He took a deep breath and then raised his hand before him. Silver Lightning began to crackle out of it, but it remained docile and in his control. It just danced around his arm as if it was some close relative.

Kael kept his eyes closed and played around the Lightning, transforming it into various shapes and making it danced around him.

It was easy for him because of his Affinity with him, which made him realise that he might be very close to the symbolism of Lightning in the Astral World.

It also made him wonder how close Draven was to this Symbolism which he couldn't understand quite well. It was very vague even to him.

All he knew was that it was in the Astral World.

He continued trying out various things he had read in webnovels with the Lightning but since everything seemed to easy for him, he decided to change the approach.

He absorbed all the lightning scattered around him, which happily came to his palms.

Kael focused on the lightning and began to summon more of it in his palms. The bolts of Silver Lightning began to condense in his palm.. This сhаptеr wаs uplоаdеd by thе tеаm аt М|VLЕМРYR.

At first, everything was good and even the lightning was docile. But the more he summoned and forced it to gather in his palm, the more restless the lightning became as it tried to get out.

It was like putting a single man in a big room. At first, he wouldn't mind it but if he threw another hundred men in that room, all of them would be uncomfortable with each other and...chaos would ensue.

The same was happening with Kael and he was happy on that, as he was finding out the limits of his lightning Manipulation. The more pressure he felt from the ball forming in his hand, the happier he became.

Soon, mana was being squeezed through his metaphysical pathways as he poured everything in the condensed ball of Lightning in his hand.

It was pure silver by now, with brightness pulsating from it. It seemed unstable at times, but Kaet kept it his under control. He even made it spin, which made things harder but he said it anyways.

He wanted to see how much he could push himself.

Bolts of Silver Lightning danced around him, trying to get away from his clothes but how could they? He let the condensed ball suck everything greedily, as if it was a starving animal.

All of a sudden, his eyes snapped open as he jumped to his feet. Without thinking twice, he pulled his hand backward then hurled the spinning ball of destruction at the giant Wall like trunk of Great Storm Tree.

The Ball was incredibly fast due to its lightning property and also the fact that Kael had made it spin. It covered the area in an instant, leaving behind only a silver trail.

One would except a terrible explosion or something from such high density spinning ball of lightning, but Kael didn't because the target he chose was simply immune to lightning.

As expected, the attack which should have obliterated massive monsters got simply absorbed in the Great Storm Tree quietly. It was as if the tree wasn't even there and the hall had simple passed it through.

This damned tree could withstand those terrible attacks of heavens, so how could anything made by a puny being do anything to it?

But Kael wasn't discouraged because this was exactly the reason he had chosen this location to practice his skills. This wouldn't cause any commotion and would also keep the destruction to minimal.

After all, if he had sent this attack at random location in these vast wilds, there would have been destruction of an area.

Kael stared at the spot where his ball of lightning disappear and thought, 'This is my limit as far as just condensing does. If I hadn't thrown it, shit would have exploded right on my face.'

[Master, this attack was enough to kill a few average D-Rank monsters and heavily damage even C-Ranks.]

'Hehe, this is going to be fun,' Kael grinned and once again sat down, already having another idea on how to utilise his lightning.

Soon, a few more silver bolts of lightning formed before him but the aura they produced was much stronger than what Kael made before.

It was because Kael had increased the intensity of each lightning bolt, making them much more deadly.

It was actually turning out easy for him. All he needed was pour his mana into the connection he felt with the lightning element and run his imagination wild, while using precise mana control to mold the newly formed Lightning to his wishes.

This time, he didn't condense the Silver Bolts of Lightning and instead let them over around him, as if they were frozen in time by Kael as he was almost pierced by them.

He didn't stop at just a few of them and began to form new one all while keeping focus on the deadly spears of the silver lightning so that they didn't dissolve in the world.

After all, the Physical World rejected mana and it's phonemena so Kael had to resist those restrictions while also working onto to making new ones.

It out strain on his mental health, but he ignored it and continued making new ones. With each increase in the Silver Bolts of Lightning, pressure on him began to increase.

But he didn't give up.

There was no way he would give up.

He continued to form the spears until he was completely surrounded by tens of them.
