Upon hearing Roger's command, the remnants of his crew immediately retreated from the battlefield.
Blood soaked their uniforms—not their own, but that of their fallen comrades.
They had just borne witness to the brutal slaughter of friends, brothers-in-arms, all at the hands of a single man: Rocks D. Xebec.
Having disengaged from the confrontation, many among them collapsed onto the ground, legs unable to support the weight of their trauma. Their bodies trembled, not from exhaustion—but from fear.
"Shit... damn it, is that monster even human?"
"We threw everything at him—our entire crew surrounded him—and even then, we lost over seventy percent of our comrades… That's not a man. That's something else entirely!"
"The Seven-Three Companions… so many of our elite are dead… and all we can do now is watch from the sidelines."
"All that's left now is to leave Rocks to Captain Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba."
They gazed ahead, where Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba continued their relentless assault.
Their hearts churned with complicated emotions—grief, fear, disbelief, and rage all warred within their souls.
They had always known that Rocks was a formidable enemy—but no one had truly understood the extent of his power until now.
As warriors of the Roger Pirates, they were used to dancing with death. Yet the pure malice and bloodlust emanating from Rocks had left even battle-hardened veterans shaken to their core.
The immense Haki Rocks released had rivaled that of the entire Roger crew alone. The crushing spiritual pressure of his Conqueror's Haki made their breathing shallow and their vision blur.
In front of them, the duel escalated again.
"BOOOM!!!"
A violent impact echoed as Rocks' colossal body smashed into the ground of the Valley of the Gods, sending dust and shattered rock flying in all directions.
His body was riddled with deep gashes. Many slashes reached down to the bone, torn open by Roger's supreme-grade blade, Ace, and the precise strikes of Rayleigh and Jabba.
Any normal man would have long since succumbed to wounds like these.
But this was Rocks.
Even bleeding profusely, bones likely fractured, and Haki waning, he still stood tall—confronting three of the world's strongest pirates like a bloodstained war god.
Rocks slowly rose from the crater, eyes burning with an unyielding flame.
"It's been... a good fight," he said, voice hoarse but steady.
"What?! You can still move?!"
Rayleigh took a half-step back, cold sweat beading on his brow. The very sight of Rocks still standing sent a chill down his spine.
Anyone else with these injuries would have been dead three times over. But not Rocks.
He not only stood—but the intensity of his aura hadn't diminished. If anything, it had become more refined—sharper. Like a cornered beast ready to maul everything in its path.
"This guy... he's a complete monster," Roger muttered. His brows furrowed as he studied the man who simply refused to die.
He had expected Rocks to fall minutes ago. But now, even Roger—the Pirate King himself—hesitated. That aura... that sheer overwhelming presence still remained.
"You're dreaming if you think the likes of you can bring me down," Rocks growled, gripping his supreme-grade sword tighter.
He looked less like a dying man and more like a divine executioner wading through a battlefield of corpses.
"He's just holding on by a thread," Jabba said coldly, though his tone lacked confidence.
Truthfully, even Jabba felt chills. The sheer willpower of this man was suffocating.
None of the three—Roger, Rayleigh, or Jabba—dared to rush in recklessly. For a moment, all three simply stared, measuring every breath Rocks took.
Then, Rocks turned his eyes away from them.
Instead, he looked toward the battlefield beyond… toward Charlotte Linlin and Golden Lion Shiki, both engaged elsewhere in fierce duels.
"Linlin, Shiki… how long do you plan to keep watching?" Rocks' voice was heavy and cold.
Though he had held off Roger's core trio longer than anyone had imagined, he knew the truth—his strength was draining. His monstrous body was fraying at the seams. His Haki, once overwhelming, was now ebbing.
He needed support. And only two in his crew had enough power to change the tide—Shiki and Linlin.
"Captain Rocks, I'd love to help," Linlin said with exaggerated innocence from atop Zeus, her floating homie cloud. Her tone, however, was laced with mockery.
"But I'm a bit busy. Vice Admiral Garp is quite persistent, y'know?"
Of course, she had no intention of helping. Deep down, she was hoping Rocks would die here. His death would leave a massive power vacuum—one she could exploit.
"Same here, Captain," Shiki said lazily from midair, a cigar clenched between his teeth. "These damn Marines are keeping me on my toes. Can't spare a hand."
Rocks stared at them coldly. He had expected this betrayal. He wasn't naĂŻve.
So instead, he turned to the remaining cadre of his crew—the loyal ones.
"Johnny. Gorefiend. Onino. Go. Hold off Garp."
The three named men snapped to attention. Though they were only mid-level officers, they were still strong—each of them at least comparable to Marine Rear Admirals.
"Yes, Captain!"
With no hesitation, the trio launched themselves toward Garp.
Rocks had always known many of his so-called "allies" harbored their own ambitions. But there were still those who truly followed him—those who believed that only under Rocks' leadership could they reach the top of the world.
These were men who had no dreams of becoming kings themselves. Instead, they bet everything on the man before them.
"You three—support Shiki's flank and hold the Marines there!" Rocks barked another command to a different group of officers.
Even now, he was still coordinating the battlefield.
Rocks didn't waste elite resources on his own defense. He understood the truth—no amount of mid-tier support could tip the scale against Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba.
To truly survive, he needed to bring in the powerhouses—Shiki and Linlin.
"Yes, Captain Rocks!"
More of his loyal cadres surged into motion, cutting across the battlefield to engage the Marine forces surrounding Shiki.
From the Marine side, elite commanders instantly realized what was happening.
"No! Linlin and Shiki can't be allowed to intervene!"
"Rocks is on the verge of death! If he gets support, this battle could turn again!"
"Hold them back! Even if we die—do not let those monsters assist him!"
The Marine elites, eyes ablaze with determination, lunged into the path of the approaching Rocks cadres.
Even knowing full well the overwhelming power of Charlotte Linlin and Golden Lion Shiki, they chose to intercept. To die if necessary.
They understood this moment could define the era.
Rocks had to die—here, today, in the Valley of the Gods.
