Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Gifted! Wood Style Bridge!!
Soon, Team 7 arrived at Dazna's house with him. As soon as they stepped inside, Dazna immediately began discussing the details of the bridge repair with the villagers.
"Dazna, if we continue to build the bridge with you, we will be targeted by Gato sooner or later. We might even be assassinated one day."
"Yeah, we are just ordinary people. We can't fight against a wealthy man like Gato."
"Just admit it. It's our bad luck to run into this tyrant."
Listening to the villagers' concerns, Dazna became even more determined to complete the bridge. He could see that fear had robbed these people of their courage to stand up against Gato. Rebuilding the bridge was the only way to reignite their hope and bravery.
The members of Team 7 overheard the villagers' complaints and felt disappointed.
"If these are the people who would benefit from this bridge, I don't see the point in building it!" Naruto exclaimed angrily.
These people were quick to stand idly by when others were in danger, afraid to take risks. Yet, once there was something to gain, they would be the first to claim the benefits.
At that moment, Dazna's grandson, Inari, ran out and shouted, "The Land of Waves doesn't need any heroes! Heroes are the most ridiculous thing!"
With that, he rushed out the door, leaving Dazna with a helpless look on his face.
Morkel and the others, frustrated with the villagers' cowardice, simply went upstairs to rest. However, Morkel's mind was still occupied with an interesting thought.
Since Wood Style could be used to build houses, could it also be used to build a bridge?

The next day, Kakashi gathered the three members of Team 7 in an open space outside Dazna's house.
"Alright, training begins now!" Kakashi announced.
"Finally!" Naruto cheered excitedly.
"Before we start, I'll briefly go over the basics of a Genin's power and Chakra," Kakashi said.
Sasuke sighed, crossing his arms. "What a hassle."
Naruto groaned, "We already know all this! Let's just start training!"
Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Since you know everything, why don't you explain it to everyone?"
Naruto froze. "Uh… that…"
Truthfully, he only knew the very basics—that Chakra was a form of energy used to perform ninjutsu. But if he had to explain it in detail, he was lost.
Kakashi smirked, already expecting that response. "Morkel, why don't you explain?"
Morkel effortlessly recited the textbook definition of Chakra, leaving Kakashi thoroughly impressed.
"Alright, let's move on to actual practice." Kakashi turned to face them. "You may be able to use ninjutsu, but your control over Chakra is still inefficient. Today, we're going to work on that."
"So how do we train?" Morkel asked.
"Simple." Kakashi pointed at a nearby tree. "Climb a tree."
Naruto frowned. "Climb a tree? That sounds ridiculous!"
Kakashi ignored him and walked up to the tree, stepping onto the trunk. To their amazement, he walked straight up as if it were flat ground, even standing upside down on a branch.
"That's incredible!" Naruto gasped.
Kakashi landed back on the ground. "Now, it's your turn."
Morkel, understanding the concept of balance that Kakashi had mentioned, stepped forward calmly. He placed one foot on the tree trunk, then another, steadily making his way up.
One step… two steps… ten steps…
It wasn't difficult at all!
"Sensei! I did it!" Morkel called out.
Kakashi, who had just pulled out his favorite book, "Icha Icha Paradise," looked up in surprise.
"Already?!"
When he saw Morkel hanging effortlessly upside down from a branch, he sighed. It made sense—Morkel had already demonstrated advanced Chakra control when he trapped Zabuza in the Water Prison Technique.
"Alright, Morkel's training is complete. You two can continue." Kakashi gestured toward Naruto and Sasuke.
Naruto took two steps up the tree before slipping and hitting his head on the ground. "Ow!"
Sasuke, though better than Naruto, was still struggling.
Naruto turned to Morkel. "Dude, you gotta tell me how you did that!"
Morkel smiled. "It's simple. First, focus your Chakra on the soles of your feet and keep your mind calm…"
After Morkel's explanation, Naruto felt like something clicked in his mind. With renewed determination, he tried again. His progress was immediate—he managed to climb much higher than before!
Kakashi was secretly impressed. "Did Morkel just give Naruto a secret technique or something?"
Sasuke, seeing Naruto improve, gritted his teeth. Swallowing his pride, he asked, "Naruto, what did Morkel tell you?"
Naruto smirked. "Oh, so now you wanna know?"
Despite his teasing, he shared what he had learned. Sasuke, skeptical at first, soon realized the advice was genuinely helpful.
Meanwhile, deeper in the forest, Morkel had found a secluded spot. He had been contemplating an idea since last night, and now it was time to test it.
"Since Wood Style can build houses, it should be able to build bridges too…"
Forming hand seals, he focused his Chakra.
"Wood Style: Bridge Formation!"
Immediately, thick wooden planks emerged from the ground, weaving together into an arch bridge. It extended over the small river before him, solid and sturdy.
Morkel's eyes widened in amazement. "It worked!"
The ability to build a bridge in an instant would save countless hours of labor. If he applied this technique at the construction site, it would be a game-changer for Dazna and the villagers.
Excited by his discovery, Morkel began refining the technique, ensuring the bridge was both strong and aesthetically pleasing.
Back at the training site, Naruto and Sasuke continued their grueling practice. Naruto had improved tremendously, thanks to Morkel's advice, but Sasuke was quickly catching up. Their rivalry fueled their determination to master Chakra control.
Kakashi, leaning against a tree with his book, smirked. "Looks like they finally get it."
As the sun began to set, Morkel returned, feeling accomplished. Seeing him, Naruto and Sasuke were curious.
"Where did you go, Morkel?" Naruto asked.
Morkel grinned. "Just testing something new. You'll see soon enough."
---
The next morning, Dazna gathered the workers at the construction site. The atmosphere was still tense—many were hesitant to continue working under Gato's looming threat.
That's when Morkel stepped forward.
"Let me help speed things up."
Dazna and the workers looked at him, confused.
Morkel formed hand seals and pressed his hands to the ground. "Wood Style: Bridge Formation!"
In an instant, wooden planks and supports emerged, forming a sturdy section of the bridge. The workers gasped in disbelief.
"This… this is incredible!"
Dazna's eyes widened. "Morkel, with this ability, we can finish the bridge in no time!"
The once hesitant workers were now filled with excitement. Seeing tangible progress before their eyes reignited their determination.
Morkel smiled. "Let's finish this bridge together."
With newfound hope, the construction of the bridge resumed at full force. The Land of Waves was one step closer to freedom.
