Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Future Ninja God!
"Since you destroyed a large part of Konoha's buildings yesterday with your Tree World Advent, I think it's time I teach you something useful..."
Yamato cleared his throat and continued, "A simple Wood Style technique to construct a house—Wood Style: Four-Pillar House."
With a hint of pride, Yamato explained, "Once mastered, you can build a complete wooden house instantly. It's a very convenient technique."
However, as Yamato finished speaking, he noticed an awkward expression on Morkel's face.
"What's wrong, Morkel? Do you find the jutsu too complicated? If it seems difficult, I can start with something simpler."
Morkel shook his head and admitted, "It's not that, sensei. When I first learned Wood Style and thought about building a home for myself, I unconsciously figured out this technique."
Seeing Yamato's doubtful look, Morkel quickly made the hand seals and pressed his hands on the ground.
"Wood Style: Four-Pillar House Technique!"
With a rumbling sound, a beautifully structured wooden house emerged from the ground, complete with wooden beds, tables, stools, and even a wardrobe.
Yamato stood frozen, his mouth slightly agape. His mind screamed in disbelief.
'No... this can't be!'
His own Four-Pillar House was never this intricate. The one Morkel just created was almost a fully furnished home!
Desperate to hold onto some shred of pride, Yamato cleared his throat and continued, "Since you already know that, let's try an advanced version—the Connected Pillar House. It's a bit more complex, so—"
"Oh, I figured that one out, too. It's just a matter of modifying the chakra flow and using more chakra to extend the structure."
Yamato's eye twitched. He was about to say that exact thing.
Trying to keep his composure, he pressed forward. "Alright, then... how about the Wooden Golem Clone? It's stronger than a regular Shadow Clone and more difficult to detect."
"Oh, that? I tried it the night I learned Wood Style. It's great, but it consumes a lot of chakra, so I can't make too many at once."
Yamato nearly collapsed. He clenched his fists, his spirit slowly shattering. His pride, built over years of mastering Wood Style, was crumbling like an old, brittle scroll.
Yet, he persisted.
"Wood Style: Substitution?"
"Got it."
"Tree Boundary Wall?"
"Mastered it."
"Thorn Kill?"
"Yes."
One by one, Yamato listed every Wood Style jutsu he knew, and one by one, Morkel confirmed he had already mastered them.
Yamato was on the verge of tears. His hands trembled as he asked, "Surely... surely you don't know this one. Tenth Edict on Enlightenment! It's a technique specifically designed to suppress the chakra of Tailed Beasts."
For the first time, Morkel hesitated. "No... I don't know that one."
A flicker of hope ignited in Yamato's defeated soul. Mustering the last of his strength, he demonstrated the jutsu, explaining it carefully. Morkel listened intently, then replicated it perfectly on his first attempt.
Yamato turned away, unable to bear it any longer. Without another word, he walked off into the night, his footsteps heavy with despair.
Morkel blinked in confusion. "What's wrong with him?"
After a moment of deep thought, realization dawned on him. "Did I overwhelm him by mastering everything too fast? Maybe I should've held back to make him feel needed."
Sighing, Morkel resolved to be more considerate in the future. "A true ninja should always remain humble and respect their teachers. Next time, I'll learn at a normal pace."
...
Late that night, the Third Hokage was awakened by a rapid knocking at his door. The urgency of the knock startled him, and he quickly dressed, fearing a crisis in the village.
Opening the door, he was surprised to see Yamato standing there, looking completely drained.
"Yamato? What's happened? Is there an emergency in Anbu?" Hiruzen asked, concern evident in his tone.
Yamato remained silent, his dazed eyes staring past the Hokage as if looking into a void.
Hiruzen frowned. "Is it about Morkel?"
At the mention of the boy's name, Yamato took a deep breath and finally spoke, his voice hollow.
"Hokage-sama... I cannot teach him anymore."
Hiruzen's eyebrows shot up. "What do you mean? What happened?"
With a lifeless expression, Yamato recounted his nightmarish experience with Morkel's unnatural comprehension and ability.
As Yamato spoke, Hiruzen's shock grew. Every revelation left him reeling. His pipe nearly slipped from his fingers as he listened to the absurdity unfolding before him.
"He invented Flying Thunder God... just to transport wood?"
"Yes, Hokage-sama. He didn't even realize what he had created until I pointed it out!"
Hiruzen inhaled sharply. "And you're saying he's already mastered nearly every Wood Style technique in existence?"
"Not just mastered... he's perfected them beyond what we thought possible. The Four-Pillar House technique he used was better than anything I've ever seen. His clones are more resilient than mine. His chakra control is unreal... Hokage-sama, he doesn't need a teacher. Curiosity alone is his best mentor!"
A heavy silence filled the room. Hiruzen exhaled slowly, his aged eyes gleaming with both admiration and apprehension.
Finally, he muttered under his breath, "This boy... Morkel... he may truly become the next Ninja God."
Hiruzen had once entertained the idea that Morkel had the potential to be an extraordinary ninja. But now, it was no longer a possibility—it was a certainty.
