Konoha: Naruto's abnormal life choices

Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Naruto honestly had no idea what Mitarashi Anko was trying to pull.

Is this because I called her an ugly woman back at the Sarutobi estate? She's holding a grudge over that? Seriously?

For a moment, he even questioned whether this was really Anko at all. Maybe it was just some random female ninja who happened to be wearing the exact same fishnet outfit and trench coat. A coincidence?

That theory didn't last long.

[Passive Choice Triggered!]

Because Mitarashi Anko is dissatisfied with you, she's taken advantage of her role as chief examiner to sneak into the Forest of Death, disguised as a Sand ninja. Her goal? To intercept and teach you a lesson.

What do you choose?

Choice 1: Stay friendly — Flatter her, praise her, butter her up. Reward: Anko's original underwear

Choice 2: Be rational — You've got bigger priorities. Don't engage. Just run. Reward: 30,000 Ryo

Choice 3: Be reckless — You didn't know she was the examiner, so mock and humiliate her. Totally justified. Reward: Coordinates and key to Hiruzen Sarutobi's secret room

Choice 4: Be ruthless — Cut her into pieces. Reward: Summoning Contract with the Spiritual Beast — Manda's brother, Ten Thousand Snakes

Note: You've triggered both active and passive options at once. First time bonus: 1 million Ryo, already deposited to your apartment account.

So it really is her.

Tch. Thin-skinned and petty. All this just because of a single offhand insult? Ugly girl can't take a joke, huh?

Anko narrowed her eyes and pointed a kunai at Naruto. "So you're not handing over the scroll? Guess I'll just take it by force."

Naruto scoffed. "You want it? Come and get it."

He wasn't the least bit tempted by the rewards for being friendly or running away. If she wanted a fight, he'd give her one. A real one.

Anko sneered. "Arrogant little brat. I'll show you what a real ninja looks like."

She hurled a kunai—aiming just off target so that it would only graze Naruto's hair. This wasn't an assassination; it was a warning. A lesson.

She hadn't planned on using ninjutsu at all. Despite Kurenai Yuhi's warning that Naruto was stronger than most Genin, Anko still saw him as a fresh-faced kid who'd only just graduated.

No matter how strong he is… he can't be stronger than a Special Jōnin like me.

Naruto dodged effortlessly and frowned. "You talk too much."

Even when fighting Sasuke, he had gone all-out from the start. There was no reason to hold back now. Especially against a trained Special Jōnin.

He summoned the Nine-Tails' chakra cloak, his entire body flaring red as he launched into the air. A kunai appeared in his left hand for backup. His right palm gathered swirling blue chakra.

"Big Rasengan!"

"…What!?"

Anko's eyes widened. The swirling mass of chakra hurtling toward her radiated pure destruction.

If she were from a different world—a Chinese drama, maybe—she'd definitely be yelling "What the hell is that!?"

There's no way… a Genin can use that kind of chakra.

But Anko wasn't just any ninja—she was experienced. She recovered quickly and used Body Flicker Technique to escape, just barely avoiding the Rasengan by a hair.

Then, with her own eyes, she saw it: Naruto's chakra sphere slammed into the ground and carved a massive crater into the forest floor.

Rock and debris exploded into the air.

And out of that smoke, three Narutos came flying at her—each holding a giant Rasengan.

Anko's smirk vanished.

Kurenai wasn't exaggerating. This isn't just strength—it's terrifying. A newly graduated Genin using Nine-Tails chakra and Rasengan?

She bolted.

Naruto chased her, launching Rasengan after Rasengan like he had an unlimited chakra supply.

Anko was overwhelmed.

Her toned legs moved at full speed, leaping, spinning, flipping—doing whatever it took to not get hit by the swirling orbs of chakra death trailing behind her.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" she cursed, leaping between branches. "How the hell does he still have chakra left!?"

She wanted no part of this anymore. The fight was too loud. Too destructive. If it went on much longer, other Jōnin would surely investigate the commotion.

The worst part?

If anyone found out she had disguised herself as a Genin and then got beaten by an actual Genin… her reputation would be ruined.

She wasn't worried about Naruto's status—whether he was secretly an elite or not didn't matter.

As long as his official rank was Genin, this was a PR disaster.

Meanwhile, Naruto formed a quick seal and created five more shadow clones. Each one raised a palm and summoned a giant Rasengan.

Two clones flanked Anko from the sides, cutting off her escape.

Damn, the Nine-Tails' chakra really is ridiculous, Naruto thought. As long as I don't burn through it all at once, it's like having unlimited ammo. Just a little cooldown, and boom—full charge again.

"Mouse or rabbit? Either way, you sure can run."

Naruto smirked and stayed in place. No need to chase. Sooner or later, his clones would herd her back to him.

He'd already gotten a good read on his own strength.

He could now overwhelm Special Jōnin with the Nine-Tails' chakra alone. But against an elite Jōnin with high adaptability? That might still be a problem.

Still, this had been a great test run.

And now it was time to wrap it up.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The clones hammered the forest with Rasengan attacks, dust and splinters flying in all directions. Anko's heart was racing.

When she saw another Naruto appear directly in her path, her expression darkened.

No choice now. I have to break through.

She flew into the air and began forming hand seals.

"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"

From her sleeve, a swarm of snakes shot out toward Naruto.

But Naruto easily sidestepped and activated a jutsu of his own—

"Scorch Release: Scorching Flame Arm!"

His arm lit up with searing chakra. He sliced through the snakes like they were made of paper, and then aimed a burning strike at Anko mid-air.

Hidden in the shadows, a certain figure licked his lips with excitement.

"Oho… Scorch Release? Didn't expect the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki to have a Kekkei Genkai too." The snake-tongued man's eyes gleamed. "First Sharingan, now this? I'm really getting lucky."

Still airborne, Anko's eyes twitched as she saw the flaming chakra arc toward her. She launched another set of snakes from her other sleeve, using them like grappling hooks to yank her body away just in time.

"That was close…" she muttered, catching her breath.

But just as she was about to relax, two more Naruto clones lunged from the trees.

They each carried a long rope—ambush ropes—and with expert timing, they wrapped it around her limbs, tying her up tightly.

Anko's eyes widened in panic. She struggled, trying to break free.

And then—

WHAM!

Naruto himself flew in with a flying kick, sending her rolling across the ground like a soccer ball.

"Find a tree," Naruto said calmly to the clones. "Hang her up."

Pretending to be a Sand ninja and trying to mess with me?

She's lucky I didn't pick the "cut into pieces" option.

Still, Anko had learned her lesson. She'd tried to "educate" Uzumaki Naruto—and gotten schooled instead.

Now… Naruto thought, stretching his arms as his clones began tying her up again.

Time to see what secrets the Third Hokage's "secret room" is hiding.
