Konoha, Just Like Kizaru

Chapter 116: 116 The First Task Is A-Level?

"I opened my eyes! I can't believe it—I actually awaken my Sharingan!"

The newly awakened Uchiha Obito immediately began acting like an excited puppy.

"Let me just say, I'm a genius of the Uchiha clan! The man destined to become Hokage!"

His over-the-top antics made him look like a wannabe villain, leaving Rin feeling completely helpless.

While Obito and Kakashi dived into honing their Haki skills, Rin focused on mastering medical ninjutsu.

She often said she didn't want to stand by helplessly if her teammates were in danger. To that end, she had been learning diligently under Katsuyu Sage guidance.

Meanwhile, Kakashi and Obito spent their days being mercilessly beaten during training. Kakashi shot Obito a silent, unimpressed glance. Obito, sensing it, immediately jumped in front of him with a triumphant smirk.

"Deadpan face, check it out! I've awakened my Two-Tomoe Sharingan!" Obito declared proudly.

"I'm not the same as before, so you'd better watch how you talk to me!"

Kakashi withdrew his gaze and replied coolly, "Sharingan is only as powerful as the person wielding it. Even if you awaken the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, it'll be wasted in the hands of an idiot like you."

"What did you just say?"

Obito, freshly awakened to his Sharingan, was brimming with overconfidence.

There was no way he could tolerate Kakashi's provocation. He rolled up his sleeves, ready for a fight.

Fortunately, Simu stepped in just in time, landing between the two. With a calm demeanor, he stretched out a broad hand and gently grabbed Obito by the head, effortlessly halting him. In his other hand, he held a scroll.

"Enough, kids," Simu said casually. "Get ready. It's time for your mission."

"Mission?"

As soon as Obito heard these two words, he immediately put aside the dispute with Kakashi just now.

Watching Obito's sudden enthusiasm, Simu couldn't help but think of Kushina when she first joined the team.

Back then, she was just as eager to complete missions and dreamed of becoming Hokage someday!

"Here."

Simu tossed the scroll in his hand to Obito and began walking out of the village.

"This mission is urgent. We need to set off immediately,"

"The village has already assured the safety of your families. There's no need to return home—just buy whatever supplies you need along the way. Let's move."

This was, of course, a direct order from the Third Hokage. The intent was to prevent Obito, with his loose tongue, from running back to the Uchiha clan and announcing that he'd awakened the Sharingan during training.

It would seem more plausible if the awakening happened during a mission, far from the village.

The higher-ups clearly wanted to avoid drawing unnecessary attention from the Uchiha clan, taking every precaution to keep them from gaining any significant influence.

Kakashi frowned slightly. He seemed to have noticed something.

After all, unless it was a war, no mission could be so urgent that they wouldn't even have time to go home and pack, right?

Rin, however, didn't overthink it. Like an obedient junior, she simply followed Simu's instructions without question.

The group soon arrived at the village gate.

After waiting for nearly half an hour, their employer finally arrived.

It was Haruko Kamizumi, the eldest daughter of the Kamizumi family, a wealthy merchant clan from the capital of the Land of Fire.

The mission was to escort Haruko and her guard to the capital. However, the priority was clear: protecting Haruko Kamizumi at all costs. The survival of her bodyguards was secondary.

"Why did it take you so ..."

Obito stopped talking halfway through.

Because he saw the employer slowly coming down from the carriage.

That is Haruko Kamizumi.

It has to be said that the eldest daughter of a wealthy businessman is indeed exceptionally good looking.

It's a pity that at the age of thirteen or fourteen, he has not yet matured.

It looks like a budding flower bud.

If this were the old Simu, he might have shown some interest. But after being surrounded by the care and affection of the three women in his life, Simu had long outgrown any fascination with young girls.

But Obito, the stinky boy, was stunned for a while.

"Obito, it's impolite to keep staring at people," Simu said suddenly, breaking the silence.

Startled, Obito flinched and jumped back in embarrassment. His face turned red as he stammered, "I wasn't staring! I just... dazed out for a moment!"

He glanced at Rin, silently pleading for her support.

Unfortunately for him, Rin merely gave him a brief, indifferent glance and said nothing. There wasn't even a hint of jealousy in her expression.

Obito's face fell immediately, his disappointment obvious.

Meanwhile, Kakashi, standing nearby with his silver-white hair gleaming in the sunlight, exuded an effortless coolness—far more appealing than Obito's awkward antics.

Haruko Kamizumi, on the other hand, blushed slightly and gave a polite bow toward Simu.

"Haruko greets Simu-sama."

Simu nodded casually. "No need for formalities, Miss Haruko. Please, take your seat in the carriage."

"Thank you, Simu-sama," Haruko replied softly before stepping back into the carriage.

Haruko Kamizumi's gaze briefly flicked past Simu before lingering on Kakashi for a moment. Then, with her servant's assistance, she gracefully stepped into the carriage.

This time, Haruko had brought along fifteen guards.

All of them showed great respect toward Simu, addressing him with reverence as "Simu-sama" at every opportunity.

Obito, watching the scene unfold, couldn't help but feel puzzled.

"Why do you think Simu-sensei is so popular?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion.

In Obito's simple mind, Simu was just a strong but mischievous teacher who enjoyed teasing his students and making him some money. He never expected Simu to have such admiration outside the village.

Hearing Obito's question, the captain of the guard chuckled. "So, you're one of Simu-sama's new students?"

Obito nodded

"Your teacher is currently one of the most sought-after ninjas in Konoha. Over the past two years, he's maintained a 100% mission completion rate."

"If it weren't for giving your team some real experience, do you think we'd trouble Simu-sama with a small A-rank mission like this?"

Obito froze, his eyes wide with shock. "Wait... what did you just say? An A-rank mission?"

Though it was wartime and fresh graduates from the Ninja Academy were eager to prove themselves on the battlefield, missions assigned to rookies were usually lower-ranked.

At first, they'd handle tasks equivalent to C-rank missions, like dealing with bandits or simple protection jobs.

Even B-rank missions were considered challenging, often involving skirmishes where experienced enemy ninjas might appear.

But Simu's team starting off with an A-rank mission? That was on a whole different level. It wasn't uncommon for A-rank missions to include encounters with Jōnin-level enemies.

"An A-rank mission... right from the start?" Obito muttered, dumbfounded.

The captain of the guard froze for a moment.

"Didn't Simu-sama tell you?"

Obito, Rin, and Kakashi exchanged puzzled glances before silently shaking their heads.

Obito immediately walked towards Simu.

"Simu-sensei, is this mission really an A-rank mission?"

Simu nodded nonchalantly. "What about it?"

Obito puffed his cheeks and said:

"Why didn't you tell us in advance that it was such a high-level mission?"

"Didn't I mention the mission was urgent?"

"And it's just an A-level mission, so there's no need for any preparations, right?"

Obito was speechless for a moment.

What is an A-level task?

If an ordinary person had said this, everyone would have thought they were just bragging. But when Simu said it, the most you could call it was him being "Versailles"—humble in an exaggerated way.

For Simu, A-rank missions were like child's play.

Simu glanced at Obito and teased, "Isn't your dream to become Hokage? If you're afraid of an A-rank mission..."

Obito, being the type he was, immediately puffed up with pride. He turned his head, slapped his chest, and declared, "It's just an A-rank mission. I, Obito, can handle it alone!"

"Don't forget, I've already activated—"

Before he could finish, Kakashi interrupted him with a loud cough, and Rin shot him a pointed look.

Simu remained unfazed.

Obito, realizing the awkwardness, quickly fell silent.

Simu always emphasized in training: Never reveal your history or abilities to outsiders.

In a ninja war, information is power. Once others know your secrets, you're as good as dead.

A good example is Hidan, a follower of the evil god in Future Akatsuki. His ability is unique—once he gets your blood, he can kill you with a curse. He also has a form of immortality.

Those who don't know this are at a huge disadvantage. But if you're aware of it, you can seal him or use high-powered ninjutsu to destroy him beyond recovery.

In the original story, his ability was used against him, as it led to the death of his partner Kakuzu's heart.

This is why intelligence is so important.

Obito glanced at Simu, guilt flickering in his eyes. Instead of reacting harshly, Simu simply nodded in acknowledgment.

Instead of feeling reassured, Obito only became more anxious. Whenever he made a mistake during training, Simu would give him that look.

Obito knew what came next—an enhanced version of Raime Hakke, the kind that even Katsuyu Sage couldn't fully heal from, leaving him sore for days.

He swallowed nervously, too scared to say anything else.

The captain of the guard, seeing this, smiled knowingly. These kids might not realize it now, but they were incredibly lucky to be students of such a powerful ninja.

As night began to fall, the captain signaled for the convoy to stop and set up camp by the river.

Simu, of course, could push them to travel through the night to complete the mission as quickly as possible, but they were taking a break for now.

Haruko Umizumi was different—she was just an ordinary person. If she didn't get enough rest, there was a real risk that

By the time they reached the capital of the Land of Fire, there would be no one left to protect.

"Simu-sama, let us take care of the night watch," the captain of the guard offered.

Even as he spoke, he wondered if the prestigious golden flash would truly leave them to handle the watch alone.

Simu scratched his head, feeling guilty about making the guards do all the work.

So, he decided to have Obito and the others join the watch.

"Since you've offered..." Simu glanced at Obito and the others.

"The three of you will join Mr. Captain for the night watch. If you need anything, just call me."

Simu gave the captain a small smile and then walked off.

A scroll unrolled, revealing a tent complete with quilts, pillows, and everything needed for a good night's sleep. The most absurd part was the huge mattress!

Was this guy here for a mission or a vacation?

Obito could only grit his teeth, staring at Simu who had already set up his tent and fallen asleep.

He, on the other hand, was stuck with the heavy responsibility of guarding Miss Kamizumi.

Rin, feeling a little embarrassed, explained to the captain of the guard, "Sorry, our teacher is... a bit lazy."

The captain didn't mind. "I understand. A strong ninja always has his own way of doing things."

Just then, they heard some light grunting coming from Simu's tent.

Everyone's face froze.

Even Kakashi was embarrassed.

At this time, the underground bounty exchange, dozens of kilometers away, was full of voices.

This is one of the largest bounty exchange offices in the Land of Fire.

Two bounties had caught the attention of everyone tonight. The boss of the Bounty exchange was proudly displaying them, nailing them high on the wall for all to see as they entered.

The first one is a familiar face.

[Konoha's Golden Flash, Hanyu Simu.]

A bounty of 100 million Ryo!

That amount was enough to make someone wealthy for several lifetimes.

The reason no one dared to tear it down was simple...

This man was Hanyu Simu. A ruthless fighter who had fight the Kumo Shinobi's AB combination alone, killed the Third Kazekage by himself, and completed dozens of S-level missions in just two years.

Attacking him? That would be courting death.

So, everyone quickly moved their eyes from the first reward to the second.

[Haruko Kamizumi, eldest daughter of the Kamizumi Clan of the Land of Fire.]

A bounty of 80 million ryo.

There was also a note beneath it, stating that Haruko Kamizumi was currently under the protection of Hanyu Simu.

The note even included details about Simu's route to the capital of the Land of Fire.

If Simu alone was enough to deter them, they certainly wouldn't dare to act recklessly.

But what about an ordinary person with a bounty of 80 million ryo?

If they couldn't defeat the Golden Flash, could they bypass him and still kill Haruko Kamizumi?

The people exchanged glances, greed evident in their eyes.

They might not be able to take advantage of the chaos, but they could still try.

Soon, the mission hall, which had been overcrowded just moments ago, became empty.

Thousands of people grabbed their weapons and scattered, heading towards different routes.
