Chapter 734: Sofia Enveloped the Earth
Eventually, Belial still did not choose to seal the dark energy here because, unlike Absolut Particles, this dark energy cannot be directly absorbed by their bodies.
Once this energy is used, the Light Power inside their bodies becomes unusable.
This actually weakens them.
It's not worth the loss.
This is the difference between the Ultramen of the Land of Light and the Ultramen of the Tiga worldview; they are more like biological beings, with their bodies going through changes in appearance akin to humans, transitioning from infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age, to old age.
In the Tiga worldview, however, whether it be Tiga or Dyna, they essentially are Light and the strength of their transformation directly correlates to the physical condition of their human form. Yet, they do not age as their human form does.
This difference among the giants from the two worlds is why Belial and Toregia had to give up the dark energy here.
If the energy were of Light, both being beings of Light themselves could handle it directly as long as it wasn't too intense. But dark energy is more troublesome and conflicts with the Light energy within them.
If the dark energy were stronger, it wouldn't matter as much to them, but the issue is the current dark energy is too limited. Using it would make them fragile.
Belial, who fell into darkness, can control dark energy because Leobrundo's soul invasion caused a genetic mutation in his body; Toregia wearing a mask can use darkness because he sealed Grimde within himself, directly replacing his weak Light Power.
But now, neither has been invaded by Leobrundo nor sealed Grimde. They naturally wouldn't dare to give up their strong Light Power and Absolut Energy for a paltry bit of dark energy. Hеlp us соntinuе by rеаding аt thе sоurсе: МV2LЕМРYR.
"Let's go then. The only thing here worth our attention is those statues," Toregia was ready to leave.
"What about the woman?" Belial was surprised.
"Since she is willing to suppress Gatanothor's awakening, let her continue. To us, the conch awakening later is a good thing." Toregia pointed upward at the twisted darkness, "At least Tartaros isn't after some kind of dark Evil God."
······
After Tiga destroyed a hundred monsters around the world, he was exhausted and with the last of his strength, returned to Tokyo, saved by Lina and Xin Cheng who were summoned onboard Victory Flying Swallow No. 1.
"Da Gu, why are you sweating so much? It's like you had a nightmare." Lina asked worriedly.
"It's nothing, just a bit hungry."
Da Gu made an excuse so Lina wouldn't worry. Xin Cheng then took out a compressed biscuit from his pocket and handed it to Da Gu.
"Thanks."
"No need to be so formal." Xin Cheng looked at the devastated Tokyo with a bitter expression, "This time, Tiga didn't clean up thoroughly. The monster corpses turned into small monsters which we had to burn with the army's cooperation."
"Xin Cheng, how can you talk about Tiga like that?" Lina scolded, "This time, Tiga had to destroy a hundred monsters worldwide. If not for Tiga, the losses would be even greater."
"I'm just worried..."
Xin Cheng looked up, although the sky was still blue, the last message from the space station indicated Earth was enveloped in a layer of glowing green light.
Sofia's third invasion succeeded in its goal!
The Earth has become Sofia's feast!
Da Gu bit into his compressed biscuit heavily, gazing at the sky, planning to transform into Tiga to break that barrier once he regained his strength!
Only when they returned to the base, did they realize the seriousness of the situation—
Due to Sofia's lock, they lost contact with outer space, and all artificial satellites were unable to communicate.
And without satellites, humans lose the capability to monitor global anomalies.
It was foreseeable that the Victory Team's operations would inevitably be delayed in the future.
"According to analyses of the field emitted from that barrier, spacetime has been distorted around it... that means it cannot be destroyed by ordinary forces."
Chu Xuan gave his analysis, "Even the power of Tiga cannot destroy the completed lock."
"We are sitting ducks for Sofia."
Zongfang asked, "Is there no way to break free from the lock?"
Jing said, "I agree with Chu Xuan's view. With current human technology, we cannot break through Sofia's barrier lock. More importantly, even Tiga might not have the power to break through."
A silence filled the combat meeting room.
Sun Wukong clapped his hands and said, "Everyone, don't be so downcast. Negativity only makes us feel more helpless. In times like these, we need optimism more than ever."
Kujima Megumi nodded, "Wukong is right. Everyone, cheer up. Although Sofia has locked down our Earth, we cannot give up hope."
Everyone forced themselves to regain their spirits and began resuming their regular work.
During his break, Da Gu quietly transformed into Tiga, flew to the barrier, transformed into the strongest Truth form, and unleashed the most powerful Light and Dark Zeppelion Ray.
However, this power had no effect and was instead absorbed by the barrier, making it even more robust.
"Is it really impossible?"
Da Gu felt that since brute force wasn't working, he should target the smaller issues—he decided to aim for and eliminate the Sofia spheres moving inside the barrier.
He didn't understand what the barrier was made of, but since it was created by the Sofias, exterminating them should dismantle it.
Yet, after Tiga destroyed nearly a million Sofias, the timer on his chest began to blink, revealing that he alone could not eliminate them.
The rate at which they divided was faster than ever!
"Why?"
Da Gu didn't understand the reason, but he knew he needed to retreat for now; otherwise, he'd run out of energy.
The next day.
Chu Xuan provided another analysis, "The barrier can absorb cosmic ray energy, providing the Sofias nearly limitless energy, making them even more troublesome than before."
"Additionally, humanity must face an even bigger challenge."
As he said this, Chu Xuan's eternally stoic face turned grave, causing the people present to feel a jolt of anxiety.
Kujima Megumi asked, "What is the problem?"
Chu Xuan: "The Ice Age!"
Jing frowned, "Why would an Ice Age occur? Wait, can Sofia absorb cosmic rays, including those from the solar system's sun?"
"Isn't it obvious? The vast majority of cosmic ray energy comes from stars, or stellar remnants like red giants, white dwarfs, pulsars, and other celestial bodies."
