Chapter 4: Chapter - 4
Jordan POV –
It has been quite a while since I left Oreburgh gym and there I had also talked to Dad about how Lucario had given me 2 eggs saying I would need them and also the small amount of Aura. Dad was of course a bit shocked but was happy and he told me about how our ancestors were part of the Aura guardians and if Lucario gave me his or her egg that meant I had aura. Soon I was also traveling and training and during that time I ventured into various forests and grasslands and found some pretty strong pokemon –
An Alpha Magikarp A Alpha Feebas A female Vespiquen and her entire colony of 20X Combee. Rhyhorn Luxio Onix with Giant gene Buizel
These are the 7 Pokemons I caught and both Abra and Riolu also hatched from their eggs. The professor was very happy with me catching so many good Pokemons and also I was able to get the fossil Pokemons to the lab we did meet in the {IW} mom was also happy as Vespiquen gave her a jar of pure honey.
Now my pokemon have also evolved –
Lairon evolved into Aggron Turtwig evolved into Grotle Happiny evolved into Chansey Charmander evolved into Charmeleon Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp.
I made sure they all had their stats into SS+ before they evolved and they looked way stronger and bigger than their species and soon it was time for me to challenge my 2nd gym leader at Eterna City.
Soon I was on my bike with my fully dressed with my new helmet a smart helmet I made with everything from maps to locations to call.
After reaching Eterna city the first thing I did was give my Pokemon to Nurse Joy and I went and gave a call to Mom as soon as Mom saw me she chewed my ear out as I had not called her in days and then she asked how I was if I ate anything and many more and this went on for 30 minutes and when I was saved by nurse Joy who called for me. There I hung up the call thanked her and went away. Soon I was in front of the Eterna City gym and I went to the receptionist and booked myself an Advanced level gym battle. And according to the receptionist, I can have my battle at 4:00 PM today. I saw from my watch its noon and I nodded and gave her my Poke-Dex after a quick scan of my identification, she told me the 4:00 match for today was set. And I decided to get a light lunch today with my Pokemons. After lunch, I was playing the flute while my Pokemons sat around me. I just closed my eyes and started to play the song of Lugia the protector of the oceans.
3rd person POV –
At the Eterna Gym
The bustling city of Eterna quieted as Jordan stepped through the grand doors of the Eterna Gym, his anticipation building with each step. The interior of the Gym was a lush green haven, lined with thick trees and blooming flowers. The scent of fresh earth filled the air, and beams of sunlight poured through openings in the canopy, making the place feel alive. Jordan admired the setup; it was a fitting stage for a Gym Leader like Gardenia, known for her mastery over grass types.
Gardenia, a seasoned Gym Leader with a reputation for nurturing some of the toughest grass types, stood across the battlefield, ready for the challenge. She gave Jordan a welcoming smile, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Welcome, Jordan! I've heard quite a bit about you from Roark. He says you're a promising challenger," she said with a friendly yet competitive tone. "But don't expect me to go easy on you—I'll make sure you earn that badge!"
Jordan grinned, his confidence unwavering. "That's exactly what I came for, Gardenia! My team and I have been training hard, and we're ready to give you everything we've got."
The referee stepped into position, raising his flags. "This will be a six-on-six match between Gym Leader Gardenia and challenger Jordan! Each trainer can substitute Pokémon freely, and the battle will end when all six Pokémon on one side are unable to continue. Trainers, send out your first Pokémon!"
Jordan took a deep breath and reached for his first Poké Ball. He had thought hard about his lineup and knew he'd need every bit of strategy to overcome Gardenia's resilient Grass-types.
"Onix, you're up!" Jordan called, throwing the ball into the air. In a burst of light, his massive Onix emerged, the giant gene marking its impressive size. The ground trembled as the towering rock snake Pokémon rose above the battlefield, its powerful body glinting in the filtered sunlight.
Gardenia raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Wow, that's one enormous Onix! But let's see if it can handle the strength of my team. Go, Cacturne!"
In a swirl of green, Gardenia's Cacturne appeared in its spiky form contrasting with the soft, green surroundings. It stared down Onix, undaunted by the size difference.
The referee raised his flag. "Battle, begin!"
Jordan didn't waste a second. "Onix, start with Rock Throw!"
With a mighty roar, Onix slammed its tail against the ground, hurling large rocks toward Cacturne. The stones crashed down like boulders, kicking up dirt and leaves.
"Dodge and counter with Needle Arm!" Gardenia commanded.
Cacturne nimbly sidestepped the rocks, showing surprising agility for its size. With a swift leap forward, its arm glowed with green energy as it swung at Onix, striking hard with Needle Arm. Onix winced but held firm, its rock-hard body absorbing most of the impact.
"Hang in there, Onix!" Jordan encouraged. "Use Iron Tail!"
Onix's tail began to shine with a metallic sheen as it whipped around, aiming directly at Cacturne. The sheer force and size of the attack forced Cacturne to leap backward to avoid a direct hit, but the tail grazed it, knocking it off balance.
Gardenia grinned, impressed. "Nice move, Jordan! But we're just getting started. Cacturne, use Leech Seed!"
Cacturne shot a barrage of seeds from its spiky arms. The seeds hit Onix and immediately began sprouting vines, draining its energy slowly but steadily. Onix groaned as it felt the energy sap.
"Not good," Jordan muttered, realizing the Leech Seed would take a toll if he didn't act quickly. "Onix, shake it off with Bind!"
Onix coiled its long body around Cacturne, trapping it in a crushing grip. Cacturne struggled, unable to move, its attacks limited in close quarters.
Gardenia's eyes narrowed, but she didn't seem overly concerned. "Cacturne, Growth, and then Poison Jab!"
Cacturne's body pulsed with energy, growing slightly in size as it boosted its strength. Then, with a swift motion, it jabbed Onix with a poisoned spike, causing Onix to recoil slightly. However, the Bind was strong, and Cacturne was still caught in its grip.
Seeing an opening, Jordan made a decisive call. "Now, Onix—finish it with Rock Slide!"
Onix summoned a powerful Rock Slide, releasing its Bind at the last moment. The rocks came crashing down on Cacturne, pinning it beneath their weight. When the dust settled, Cacturne lay fainted on the battlefield.
The referee raised his flag. "Cacturne is unable to battle! Onix wins!"
Gardenia recalled her Cacturne, smiling. "Well done, Jordan! Your Onix is something else. But let's see how it handles this next Pokémon. Go, Tropius!"
The enormous, leafy dinosaur Tropius appeared on the field, its wings creating a soft breeze as it took to the air. Onix looked up, eyeing its new opponent carefully.
Jordan adjusted his strategy quickly. "Onix, use Stone Edge!"
Onix conjured sharp stones and launched them toward Tropius with precise accuracy. The stones soared upward, but Tropius skilfully dodged them with a flap of its leafy wings.
"Nice dodge!" Gardenia called. "Tropius, use Leaf Tornado!"
Tropius flapped its wings vigorously, whipping up a vortex of leaves that spun toward Onix. The tornado of sharp leaves struck Onix, dealing heavy damage and forcing it back. With the Leech Seed still active, Onix was steadily losing strength.
Realizing Onix was at a disadvantage against Tropius's aerial attacks, Jordan decided it was time for a switch. "Onix, return! Marshtomp, let's go!"
Marshtomp took the field, its Water typing giving it a significant advantage over Tropius. It immediately took a ready stance, awaiting Jordan's command.
Gardenia's eyes sparkled with interest. "A Water type—smart move. But we're not going down easily. Tropius, use Magical Leaf!"
Tropius sent a flurry of shining leaves toward Marshtomp, each leaf homing in on its target.
"Counter with Ice Beam!" Jordan called.
Marshtomp opened its mouth, releasing a powerful beam of ice that froze the Magical Leaf attack midair before striking Tropius head-on. Tropius staggered back, its body covered in a thin layer of frost.
"Great hit!" Jordan shouted. "Now follow up with Water Gun!"
Marshtomp shot a high-powered stream of water, further weakening Tropius, who tried to stay airborne.
"Tropius, use Solar Beam!" Gardenia commanded, determined to land one final hit.
Tropius began absorbing sunlight, preparing a powerful Solar Beam. Jordan recognized the opportunity and acted quickly.
"Marshtomp, finish it with another Ice Beam!"
Marshtomp fired off Ice Beam before Tropius could complete its Solar Beam, striking Tropius and sending it crashing to the ground, fainted.
The referee raised his flag. "Tropius is unable to battle! Marshtomp wins!"
Gardenia recalled Tropius with a smile. "Impressive work, Jordan. You've got great timing with your moves. Let's see how you handle this—Venusaur, go!"
Gardenia's Venusaur emerged, its sheer size and power evident as it stood firm on the battlefield. Jordan knew that Marshtomp's type advantage might not hold as strongly against such a powerhouse, but he was eager to test his Pokémon's strength.
"Venusaur, start with Vine Whip!" Gardenia ordered.
Venusaur's vines shot out, snapping toward Marshtomp with surprising speed.
"Dodge and use Mud Shot!" Jordan called.
Marshtomp leaped aside, launching a blast of mud that hit Venusaur, reducing its accuracy slightly. However, the powerful Grass-type wasn't fazed.
"Venusaur, Leech Seed!" Gardenia commanded.
Vines erupted from Venusaur's flower, releasing seeds that latched onto Marshtomp, slowly draining its energy.
Jordan grimaced. "Marshtomp hit it with Ice Punch!"
Marshtomp lunged forward, fist cloaked in frost as it delivered a solid Ice Punch to Venusaur. The super-effective move caused Venusaur to stagger, but the Leech Seed continued to drain Marshtomp's strength.
Seeing Marshtomp begin to tire, Jordan knew it was time to make a move. "Marshtomp, return! Charmeleon, you're up!"
Charmeleon took the field, flames crackling at its tail as it faced down Venusaur. The sight of the fiery lizard seemed to invigorate Gardenia's Venusaur, which roared in response.
"Alright, Charmeleon, let's start strong—use Flamethrower!"
This is just the beginning of this intense battle, with strategic exchanges and type advantages unfolding. I'll continue the scene with additional rounds and dramatic moments as Charmeleon, Grotle, and the rest of Jordan's team take on Gardenia's powerful Grass-types, leading up to the showdown between Grotle and Torterra. Let me know if there are any other specific details or moments you'd like to see included!
Charmeleon, his tail blazing, faced down the mighty Venusaur with confidence. The type advantage was clear, but Jordan knew Gardenia's Venusaur wouldn't be easy to take down.
"Charmeleon, start strong with Flamethrower!" Jordan shouted.
Charmeleon inhaled, then released a powerful stream of flames, the intense fire roaring toward Venusaur. The heat forced Venusaur to brace itself, but it stood firm.
"Venusaur, counter with Earth Power!" Gardenia commanded, keeping her cool.
With a powerful roar, Venusaur stomped down, sending shockwaves through the earth that caused the ground under Charmeleon to erupt in jagged, glowing rocks. Charmeleon stumbled, taking the hit, but quickly recovered, his fierce spirit driving him on.
"Shake it off, Charmeleon! Use Flame Burst!"
Charmeleon spun around, launching a blazing orb that exploded on impact with Venusaur, scattering smaller flames in every direction. Venusaur winced but stood its ground, visibly weakened but not defeated.
Gardenia smirked. "You're strong, Jordan, but we're not done yet. Venusaur, Synthesis!"
Venusaur's flower glowed as it absorbed sunlight, gradually restoring its health. The regeneration left Venusaur looking almost refreshed, which only added to the challenge.
"Alright, Charmeleon, we'll have to finish this quickly. Use Fire Spin!" Jordan called.
Charmeleon's claws lit up as he created a swirling vortex of fire around Venusaur, trapping it in a fiery whirlwind. The flames licked at Venusaur, wearing down its health again as it struggled to move.
"Now, Flamethrower one more time!" Jordan shouted, hoping to capitalize on Venusaur's restricted movement.
Charmeleon unleashed another Flamethrower, the intense flames consuming the Fire Spin and amplifying the damage. When the smoke cleared, Venusaur swayed unsteadily before finally collapsing.
The referee raised his flag. "Venusaur is unable to battle! Charmeleon wins!"
Gardenia smiled as she recalled her Venusaur. "Well done, Jordan. You're making me work hard for this one. But let's see how your Charmeleon handles this! Go, Tangrowth!"
The next Pokémon Gardenia chose was Tangrowth, a massive bundle of vines with arms that stretched out in every direction. It was well-known for its resilience and strong defenses, especially against physical attacks.
"Charmeleon, let's keep up the momentum with Slash!" Jordan ordered.
Charmeleon darted forward, his claws glowing as he went in for a direct attack. He slashed at Tangrowth, but the bulky Grass-type absorbed the hit, barely flinching.
"Tangrowth, respond with Power Whip!" Gardenia called.
Tangrowth's long, vine-like arms swung forward with tremendous speed, wrapping around Charmeleon and tossing him across the field. Charmeleon managed to roll and recover, but it was clear Tangrowth's physical power was something to be wary of.
"Hang in there, Charmeleon!" Jordan called out. "Use Flame Burst!"
Charmeleon launched another blazing orb toward Tangrowth. The explosion sent flames scattering across the field, some of which managed to hit Tangrowth directly. The fire-type attack took its toll, but Tangrowth stood firm.
Gardenia saw an opening. "Tangrowth, use Stun Spore!"
Tangrowth shook its vines, releasing a cloud of golden spores that drifted toward Charmeleon. Before he could react, Charmeleon breathed in the spores and immediately felt his movements slow down, his limbs growing stiff.
Jordan clenched his fists. "We're not giving up, Charmeleon! Push through it and use Flamethrower!"
With determination, Charmeleon fought against the paralysis, managing to summon a stream of flames that enveloped Tangrowth. The powerful fire attack left Tangrowth scorched, and when the flames subsided, Tangrowth fell to the ground and fainted.
The referee raised his flag again. "Tangrowth is unable to battle! Charmeleon wins!"
Gardenia gave Charmeleon a respectful nod before calling her next Pokémon. "You're impressive, Charmeleon, but now it's time for a different challenge. Roserade, go!"
Jordan recalled Charmeleon, knowing that Roserade's speed and power could make it challenging for a weakened Pokémon to handle. He chose his next fighter carefully.
"Rhyhorn, you're up!"
Rhyhorn stomped onto the field, its rugged armor gleaming. It was ready for battle, its sturdy body giving it a natural advantage against Roserade's powerful Grass moves.
Gardenia smiled. "You think a Ground-type can withstand Roserade? Let's see. Roserade, Energy Ball!"
Roserade summoned a glowing green ball of energy and launched it toward Rhyhorn. The Energy Ball hit hard, and Rhyhorn skidded back, but it stood firm, thanks to its high defense.
"Rhyhorn, use Rock Blast!"
Rhyhorn stomped the ground, launching a series of large rocks toward Roserade. The rocks hurtled through the air, forcing Roserade to dodge, but one rock managed to hit, slowing her down slightly.
Gardenia grinned. "Not bad, but we can do better. Roserade, Magical Leaf!"
Roserade waved its flower-covered hands, summoning a barrage of shining leaves that homed in on Rhyhorn. Each leaf hit its target, and Rhyhorn winced, the super-effective move dealing considerable damage.
"Come on, Rhyhorn! Use Bulldoze!"
Rhyhorn charged forward, slamming the ground with tremendous force, creating shockwaves that rippled across the battlefield and hit Roserade head-on. Roserade staggered but quickly regained its footing.
Gardenia, seeing an opportunity, called out her next move. "Roserade, finish it with Solar Beam!"
Roserade absorbed sunlight rapidly, its flower petals glowing brightly as it prepared the powerful move. In seconds, it unleashed a brilliant beam of energy that struck Rhyhorn squarely. Rhyhorn held on for a moment before finally succumbing to the attack.
The referee raised his flag. "Rhyhorn is unable to battle! Roserade wins!"
Jordan nodded, recalling Rhyhorn. "You did great out there, Rhyhorn. Alright, Marshtomp, let's take this one!"
With a type advantage, Jordan felt confident as Marshtomp took the field again, ready to face Roserade.
"Start with Mud Shot!" Jordan called.
Marshtomp launched a ball of mud, which hit Roserade and reduced her accuracy, making it harder for her to land precise attacks.
"Roserade, don't let that slow you down! Use Giga Drain!"
Roserade dashed forward and latched onto Marshtomp with her petals, absorbing energy and restoring some of her health. Marshtomp grimaced but managed to shake her off after the attack.
Jordan, seeing Marshtomp's determination, called for a powerful move. "Use Ice Beam!"
Marshtomp released a chilling beam of ice, hitting Roserade and freezing parts of her petals, slowing her movements significantly.
With Roserade weakened Jordan went for the finishing blow. "Marshtomp, use Water Pulse!"
Marshtomp summoned a pulsating wave of water that struck Roserade head-on, knocking her to the ground. Roserade fainted, leaving Gardenia with only one Pokémon left.
The referee raised his flag. "Roserade is unable to battle! Marshtomp wins!"
Gardenia gave a small nod, acknowledging Jordan's skill. "You've proven yourself well, Jordan. But now it's time for my ace. Torterra, let's show him our strength!"
With anticipation building, Jordan recalled Marshtomp and sent out his ace. "Grotle, it's time!"
Grotle emerged, facing down Gardenia's massive Torterra. Despite the size difference, Grotle held its ground, and the two Pokémon locked eyes, each sensing the other's strength.
"This is it," Gardenia said, her voice filled with pride. "We're both going all out. Torterra, start with Earthquake!"
Torterra stomped its feet, causing the ground to quake violently. Grotle staggered as the tremors hit, but it quickly regained its balance.
"Grotle, counter with Mega Drain!" Jordan commanded.
Grotle's leaves glowed as it absorbed energy from Torterra, restoring its health and weakening its opponent slightly.
Gardenia clenched her fists. "Not bad, but let's see how you handle Frenzy Plant!"
Thick roots erupted from the ground, coiling around Grotle and striking with tremendous force. Grotle winced as the attack hit, but it stood firm, determined not to back down.
"Grotle, hang in there! Use Leaf Storm!"
Grotle summoned a storm of leaves that swirled around Torterra, dealing significant damage. Torterra groaned, but its resilience kept it standing.
Seeing an opening, Jordan went for a decisive move. "Finish it with Giga Drain!"
Grotle latched onto Torterra with vines, drawing energy and leaving Torterra weakened. After a moment, Torterra staggered, then collapsed, fainting from exhaustion.
The referee raised his flag one final time. "Torterra is unable to battle! Grotle wins! The victory goes to Jordan, the challenger!"
