Chapter 28 Digging a Hole_3
But if the governor wants results, there will be results."
Kelly and Jennifer exchanged glances, both feeling a sudden tension in their hearts.
They didn't say anything more, turning around and hurriedly returning to the villa. They found Julia, who was flipping through documents in the living room, and Helen, who was staring blankly while leaning on the sofa.
"Something's happened." Kelly cut to the chase, her voice urgent. "My dad said the acting governor might make a move on Victor, and the IRS and FBI might get involved."
Julia raised her head, her gaze was much calmer than the two sisters. She lifted the documents in her hand, saying indifferently, "What can we do? Just follow the contingency plan Victor left behind."
Helen nodded as well, "Yes, he has been prepared."
Zhou Qingfeng's current reinforcement wasn't an impromptu decision. He knew he might sleep for four or five days, maybe even longer, so he started planning a month in advance.
The four women opened the contingency plan and found the page titled "Encounter with Uncontrollable Forces." Two words were clearly written on the paper: "Quick Evacuation."
First, ensure the farm's surveillance system operates completely, especially the high-altitude perspective from drones, which must record all abnormal movements 24/7.
If any 'official intervention' is detected—such as unidentified vehicles approaching, unfamiliar signal interference, or any signs of coercion—initiate the evacuation procedure immediately.
Step one, contact the 'Gray Shark.'
Step two, release Xiao Jinlang and others.
Step three, ...

While the women were flipping through the plan, a convoy was quickly approaching the test farm under the cover of darkness. Carl Vincent, the Director of the FBI Miami Branch, was in the convoy.
"Damn it, why does that kid always drag me into his messes?" Carl thought nervously about facing Zhou Qingfeng again.
The first time he met that kid was at the lottery office, where he suffered a minor loss.
The second time was at the Congers' house, where he tried to bring him back to the bureau for investigation, but suffered a significant loss.
The third time was at a motel, where he didn't really lose anything but made a pointless trip.
The fourth time was on the 'Caribbean' cruise ship. That time was truly dangerous—the governor died, and he himself almost ended up dead.
Now it's the fifth time. Who knows what will happen?!
Carl had a premonition that things wouldn't go smoothly.
Sure enough, when the convoy reached Zhou Qingfeng's farm and just got off the highway, the leading 'Explorer' got stuck in a pit.
The cars behind naturally stopped. A few IRS agents got out and saw the situation, their anger reaching a boiling point.
Someone had dug a pit on the farm road for no apparent reason. The two front wheels of the 'Explorer' were stuck in it and couldn't move.
Soon, a buzzing sound was heard above the agents' heads—it didn't take much thought to realize a drone was hovering overhead, circling.
"Forget about this car, continue into the farm, don't let the target escape." Content presented by MV|LEMP|YR.
The leading IRS official shouted over the radio, and soon a helicopter came from a distance, its spotlight illuminating the ground.
Carl followed behind with the FBI team, glanced at the roaring helicopter in the sky, and calmly instructed his subordinates to assist a bit.
Then… clunk—the second IRS car fell into another pit.
The agents got out again, infuriated to the point of no return—they had taken the wrong path and ended up on a road full of pits.
Coincidentally, this road was the closest to the highway and led them straight into the pits.
The spotlight from the helicopter had already brightened the buildings within the farm, but the ground agents who should have arrived promptly were delayed by several minutes.
Carl got out of his car, walked to the edge of a big pit, looked down, and laughed heartily, "This pit was dug specifically for us."
