Chapter 132: Coming Home

"Don't be ridiculous."

Hearing Hela's question, Heisenberg shook his head calmly.

"You Asgardians seem to really hate the Celestials. Whether it's you or Odin, you can't stop mentioning them.

But rest assured, I'm not one of those things!"

As he spoke, Heisenberg's right hand swayed slightly. Moments later, the silently floating Denver began to descend slowly.

Gazing at the city, which resembled a pile of building blocks, Hela blinked in astonishment once more. Heisenberg noticed her expression and couldn't help but quirk a smile.

This goddess… she's exactly as Odin described. In some ways, she's like a child—craving recognition and respect, yet fiercely stubborn.

Watching Hela's surprised and adorable expression, Heisenberg couldn't help but recall her original fate. In Thor: Ragnarok, when Surtur rose from the Eternal Flame, Hela could have left Asgard, just like Thor. Even if she weakened without Asgard, she wouldn't have ended up destroying it alongside herself.

But some people are like that. They'll never abandon what others would destroy.

Hela's hatred doesn't last forever. Despite being imprisoned by Odin for millennia, she never truly killed his remaining children. After all, she could have easily defeated Thor without Stormbreaker.

And when she loves, it's eternal. Like her love for Asgard. How could she abandon it?

Thinking this, Heisenberg reached out, intending to ruffle Hela's hair—a habit he had from petting cats. But as his hand hovered above her head, Hela reacted sharply.

Her eyes widened like a startled cat, and in a flash, she plunged the Deathblade into Heisenberg's palm.

"What are you doing?!"

Hela was horrified. She knew exactly what Heisenberg intended, but how dared he? His audacity was staggering!

Staring at his palm inches from her face, Hela turned away, avoiding Heisenberg's smiling face. Her lips curled, mirroring the emotions of an abandoned stray.

Seeing her flustered reaction, Heisenberg withdrew his hand, chuckling. A warm flame ignited in his palm, and the wound vanished instantly under the power of the sun's fire.

Heisenberg approached Hela again, causing her to retreat involuntarily. Only when she stopped did he speak.

"Most of the Chitauri are dealt with. The remaining stragglers will be hunted by Asgard's warriors.

As for us, let's head back to Asgard and talk. What do you say?"

"You dare take me back to Asgard?"

Hela was surprised, yet uncontrollably elated.

After over five millennia, she longed to return home. But she wanted to return on her own terms, not as a prisoner of her enemy…

Er…

Instinctively, she shook her head. The man before her… probably just an adversary.

No, her father's murderer!

But a formidable and handsome one…

In that brief moment, countless thoughts raced through Hela's mind. Heisenberg merely nodded.

"Why wouldn't I? It's your home, after all."

"Home… hmph. That word… it's truly heartbreaking!"

The word "home" seemed to wound Hela. She scoffed.

"In that home, my father—whom I fought for centuries—imprisoned me. My proud Valkyrie legion betrayed me. My Einherjar were shackled by Odin. He stripped me of everything!"

"Isn't that Odin's fault? Home itself is innocent, right?"

Heisenberg raised Gungnir toward the sky.

"Heimdall, find Frigga. Have her transport me and Hela back to Asgard."

His words were immediately answered.

"Yes, my liege!"

Heimdall's voice was stiff, still unaccustomed to Heisenberg's rule. But with time, he'd adjust.

Heisenberg withdrew his hand and casually addressed Hela.

"Just a moment. Asgard's Bifröst isn't repaired yet, so we can't teleport instantly. It'll be ready soon."

"I heard. We need Frigga to transport us. But who is Frigga? Another of Odin's children?"

Hela responded disdainfully, unaware of the truth.

To Heisenberg, her willingness to engage—despite her tsundere demeanor—showed her slowly accepting the present.

Heisenberg smiled knowingly.

"Frigga is Asgard's current queen."

"Er…"

Hela paused, frowning slightly.

"So she's your woman? Can she control the Bifröst's essence?"

"Don't overthink it. She's Odin's queen!"

Heisenberg corrected her, causing Hela to smirk instinctively.

She feigned nonchalance.

"Odin found a new woman? And she's still queen after you killed him?"

Hela wrinkled her nose in disdain.

"Has Asgard fallen so low during my imprisonment? No one dared fight for Odin's death?"

"Of course they did. Like you!"

Heisenberg winked at the disdainful Hela.

"You're the one most eager to avenge him."

"Hmph. I only hate that you stole the right to kill him, you bastard!"

"Haha, alright, alright. I believe you!"

Heisenberg laughed, his smile making Hela feel mortified.

"How dare you mock the Goddess of Death across the Nine Realms! I…!"

"What will you do? Draw your sword to avenge Odin?"

"I'll kill you, but not for him—for the honor of the Nine Realms' ruler!

No one takes Asgard's throne!"

"Just the throne?

Stop the nonsense!

Admit it—I see your love for Odin in your heart. Even after he imprisoned you, you still love your father."

"You!!!"

Hela exploded, drawing the Deathblade again.

But facing Heisenberg's calm smile, she hesitated.

Because he was right!

Being seen through was unnerving, and Hela's panic was only natural. After a few seconds, she reluctantly sheathed her sword.

"I'll kill you back in Asgard, you bastard!"

"Uh-huh. Kill me. But why are you blushing?"

"It's my rekindled passion for battle and war!"

"And your racing heart?"

"Of course!"

"Let me tell you something else. Though Odin lost, I didn't kill him on the spot.

His true cause of death was the inevitable dissipation of his divine power.

Before dying, perhaps to preserve Asgard's integrity, he promised me many things.

Want to know what?"

Heisenberg's gaze locked onto Hela's eyes. Their eyes met, and Hela panicked, turning away.

"What did he promise?"

As she asked, Hela's heart raced, as if she already knew.

Watching the increasingly flustered princess, Heisenberg laughed heartily.

"He surrendered everything to me—Gungnir, Asgard, its people, and his children.

Oh, and he said you'd make a perfect future queen of Asgard, haha!"

"Nonsense!!!"

Hela exploded, her long black hair trembling with her turbulent emotions.

"I'd never…"

"Wait, the Bifröst's here!"

Spotting the rainbow bridge descending, Heisenberg interrupted Hela, pulling her into the Bifröst's embrace.

Moments later, they arrived in Asgard's palace.

In that instant, the feeling of homecoming overwhelmed Hela's thoughts. Hatred, resentment, panic—all faded.

She was home!

Hela gazed greedily at every tree and blade of grass, her heart swelling with passion.

Wait…!

Where's my Asgard? It's all ruins!

Where's my palace? Only half remains!

Where are my mountains and rivers? They're ravaged, like a beast rampaged here!

Has Surtur already come? Has Ragnarok begun?

Her mind flooded with questions, Hela wandered toward the shattered plaza.

After one step, she froze.

What's grabbing my hand?

What is this?

No!

Who the hell is holding my paw?!

She glared at Heisenberg, fury blazing.

You dare…!!!

Before Hela could speak, a melodious voice interrupted her.

"Is this Hela, the princess?"

Hela turned to the voice's source.

Frigga, seemingly oblivious to their joined hands, greeted Hela gracefully.

"I'm Frigga. It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess."

"Hmph. So you're Asgard's queen?"

"Indeed."

Frigga nodded simply, her natural demeanor irritating Hela.

"You're a Vanir. No wonder you control the Bifröst even when it's broken.

Asgard didn't have this tech when I left. You must've brought it.

I don't recall you among the Vanir. Whose child are you? Njord's?"

"Correct. My father is Njord."

"You're quite young."

"Indeed, a few thousand years younger than you."

"Hmph. Sharp tongue."

"As you wish."

"Your annoying demeanor is just like your father's!"

"You're no different!"

"I…!!!"

Hela exploded again.

But before she could fully erupt, Frigga calmly shook her head and smiled.

"Regardless, welcome home after so long, Hela."

Frigga stepped forward, taking Hela's free hand.

Heisenberg released Hela's hand, allowing Frigga to lead the nostalgic yet uneasy princess into the palace's depths.
