Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

I gave King Cynfael a cold gaze that lasted quite a while before I finally broke eye contact and answered, "Shouldn't your son be here to hear my answer?"

With that, I raised my hand to open the door then pulled the prince inside the room. I slammed the door shut again as the stunned prince walked over to where me and the king are seated. He carefully sat next to his father as his eyes never left my face.

We had a little stare down with me, having a calm smile on my face while he had that kind of look as if he was blaming me but at the same time he had a ton of things that he wanted to say and ask me. I was the first to break the eye contact as I looked at Cynfael and notioned for him to tell his son what has transpired so far.

King Cynfael coughed to get his son's attention and then informed him about the questions he asked to me while Prince Athan was not present in the meeting. Upon hearing that I confirmed the existence of the child between me and Athan, the prince stared at me wide eyed then for some reason his face started to blush profusely then he looked away all of a sudden.

King Cynfael had a knowing smile on his face as he looked at me with hopeful eyes for a positive answer to his last question. I nonchalantly answered, "Well, I don't see anything wrong with you having some visiting rights. I can at least give your son the same arrangement I gave to the fairy king and his sons. I will have one of my people get in touch with you to arrange the visits. In exchange, I expect that your son gives me as much nourishment as I need for the children."

Hearing a positive response, the color returned to the king's face as he also smiled at me. He thanked me profusely for the grace I have bestowed to his son. There was an involuntary and somewhat dazed smile on the prince's face upon getting permission to visit the children.

Just when I thought that we can discuss something else like moving their people and such, Prince Athan stared at me and stutteredly asked, "Wait.. Did you just... Did you say- chil- children? Was that- I-"

I nonchalantly answered, "Yes, I said children. We have two, a boy and a girl." Athan stared at me wide eyed, mouth slightly agape as if he wasn't breathing.

I looked at him, finding his reaction amusing at first, not until his tears started falling down like a waterfall and at the same time, a silly smile blossomed on his face too. He looked happy but at the same time, he looked like he just lost his mind.

I looked towards King Cynfael again and continued telling him to prepare his people to move to the world tree realm in one week. I promised to personally fetch them and help them move out just like I did with the dark elves.

Prince Athan simply looked absentminded throughout the rest of the meeting about the affairs of the blood demon territory. He did not join in any of the topics after he found out that we are having twins. He might have really lost it or something.

Taking advantage of his dazed state and the proximity, I gradually drained his essence for my children's nutrition. He did not even notice it as he seem to be daydreaming. Just like last time, I drained quite a lot but left him enough to still function and ensure that there is no danger to his life.

Noticing that his son is looking more and more embarassing and totally not himself, the king asked me to remove the barrier I placed around the room so he can urgently call in one of the attendants to send the prince back to his quarters. I did as he requested and the prince was then sent back very quickly.

Once Prince Athan was gone, the king then profusely apologized for the scene his son has caused earlier. The king admitted that from the time his son found out that he has a child, he has done everything he could to find any clues of the child's whereabout, even foregoing any chance of rest. The thought of not knowing who the mother of his child was and where he could find them has kept the prince in constant distress and unrest.

As the king continued telling stories about his son's childhood, what his people have gone through from the time the world tree realm was destroyed and how life has been in the human realm. I couldn't help but feel bad about how they lived but it is not like I can change the past. I can only help them get a better future.

We chatted a bit more about a few other personal things before I bid my goodbyes. He thanked me once again before we parted ways.

Having done what I could in Aeterdumnox, I decided that ut wa time to wrap up and go back. I am now teleporting back to the kingdom while making sure that I travel while hiding my tracks, my destinations among other things.

After all the twists and turns, I am finally back inside the palace in Eieneos. It did not take that long before Ioannis and the twins noticed my arrival and are clinging on to me again.

I chuckled at them being adorable like this. The trio accompanied me again to the rook of beginnings as I have to report my success in finding food for my blood demon children.

Upon entering the room of beginnings, I was surprised of the existence of a crowd inside. It was the led by my parents who are currently talking to the king of fairies Peony and his wife. I also saw the five fairy princes that I have not seen for quite a while. They all looked my way when I entered the room with Ioannis and the twins in tow.

I greeted everyone with an amicable smile and a polite bow but did not look at the others for too long to avoid any misunderstandings. I went straight to the receptacle where my blood demon twins were and started depositing the father's essences on it.

Both children, upon feeling that sustenance from both me and their father filling up their tummies, squirmed in a cute manner. I can imagine that this was how children moved inside their father's tummies when they are feeding or playing. It was cute and can make you stare in awe if you see it for the first time.

From afar, the five fairy princes were looking at what I was doing while the five of them are also providing sustenance to their respective children in the receptacles. They all look absentminded for some reason. It might have come as a shock that I have another set of children from another race while I have a husband and twins in tow too while I barely gave any of them attention.

I then went straight to a huge receptacle in one corner of the room and placed a hand in it. It was the receptacle assigned to me by my father where he wants me to regularly deposit my essences for "milk" production and feeding the growing children. Next to it was a seed bank that I also fill up once in a while.

Once I was done with my tasks, I quietly said my goodbyes and went out of the room that felt really awkward with Ioannis, Iosef and Ianthe. I was kind of in a hurry to leave to avoid talking to any of the five princes actually.

While walking along the corridors, Ioannis reported that the three other men, Samir, Luxiel and Touya, have already left the kingdom and started searching for the golden auras in the human realm. How nice of them to finally work like Altair, isn't it?

It would have been nice if I could say goodbye to them but they seem to be in a hurry to get to the task so I understand the sudden departure. I also think that there is a little rivalry in play since Altair has already gone ahead before everyone else. I hope that their trips would be fruitful and that they stay safe till their return.

Though not clearly stated in the mission that I gave to them, finding a human with a blessed soul means that once that person dies of natural causes in the future, the freed soul of Eieneos will return to this kingdom as a citizen just like they used to be. They will then be assigned to the respective territories of the person that found them first. It is a little reward for their time and effort in searching for people all over the human realm.

I did tap on a few I found during my travels and missions but I do not have the luxury to only focus on that task alone from the start. I am glad that now, four individuals will do this task solely so it would progress faster than with me doing it alone.
