Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 317 - The Arrival of the First Tenants

After the mass teleportation, me and my companions reappeared in the middle area of the Zanahavre area in the new world tree realm. Laerad and I previously decided to put a plaza similar to what I have created in Marahuyo so there is a designated sanctuary center.

As I look around the area, I saw Peony already assigning the previously prepared houses to the fairies that came with him. The area nearby which is in the north direction from the plaza was empty since I told Laerad that I have plans to relocate the fairy king's residence there.

Peony's five sons can be seen helping the other citizens to move into their new houses as well. Although it is a new place, it is amazing how one can see the citizens smiling contentedly while looking around their new home.

I walked across the plaza to where Peony was. He was busy with his back facing me that he did not even notice that I brought more people with me.

As for Laerad, I don't see him anywhere. It seems like he doesn't want to meddle too much on how the housing will be assigned and simply let Peony do it.

Once I was only a few steps away from Peony, I called out to him and he immediately turned around to face me. He smiled at me immediately then I saw his face change to that of shock. He must have seen the other fairies I brought in.

I heard a flurry of footsteps from behind me as I saw Rosia run past where I was standing. She pounced and hugged Peony with tears in her eyes. She sobbed while apologizing to her husband for lying that she did not want to go with him. As for Peony, it took quite a while for him to recover from the shock and hug his wife back.

Peony then looked at me gratefully and mouthed a "Thank you" discreetly. The commotion eventually caught the attention of his five sons that have just finished assigning houses and their tasks.

Upon seeing his mother, Rosia, Nasturtium ran to meet her immediatelh. It was his turn to pounce and hug his mother.

As the heartfelt reunion was happening I saw a trace of envy on Peony's other four sons. It must have been heartbreaking how their own mother's chose to stay back in the sanctuary in the human realm rather than choose to be with their own children.

Almond Blossom, Iris, Lotus and Daffodil chose to look away to hide their emotions. They walked towards the other new fairies that came in instead to assist them on their lodgings and transferring their personal belongings.

After the trio's mini-reunion, they approached me and it was Peony who spoke first, thanking me again for bringing Rosia in the new sanctuary as well as the other fairies who wanted to leave the previous sanctuary but we're being restrained and threatened by the five powerful fairy families.

Peony noticed his four other sons and he could only smile helplessly. It would be nice if their mothers fought to be with the children but as how things are right now, they all have clearly made their choice. It was a choice that broke his sons' hearts.

While the others are still busy with their tasks, I walked to the empty space north of the plaza and then pulled Peony's residence out of my storage space. It frightened the onlookers as a huge structure suddenly appeared out of nothing.

After the residence appeared, I kept it levitating a few inches above ground first as I positioned it right in the middle of the empty land. Once I was contented with its position, I placed it on the ground gently but due to the weight, it still made a loud thud.

I clicked my tongue as I inadvertently caused unnecessary noise. Peony, upon seeing his original residence appear, gasped in surprise, as if he did not expect that I brought it. I wanted to laugh at him acting as if we did not talk about it before the migration.

Right after I placed the residence I turned around and saw the surprised faces of Rosia, Almond Blossom, Iris, Lotus, Daffodil, Nasturtium and the rest of the fairies. As for Peony, he looked like the happiest guy in the world. I kept my face cold as if I did something completely normal. It's nice to act cool once in a while.

While acting cool, Laerad suddenly appeared right in the middle of the plaza with a bright smile. I almost automatically smiled back and walked towards him.

His five sons looked at me in confusion since I have never given a smile before. As they were wondering what was the reason in my sudden change in emotion, I walked past them quickly to where Laerad was.

I teased him a bit by suddenly stopping just a few steps before reaching him. Laerad's eyes widened then he scoffed. He rolled his eyes then started walking towards me quickly.

Not caring about the people around, he snaked his arm around my waist and then grabbed the back of my head with his other hand to give me a lingering kiss on the lips. I reciprocated his kiss for a few seconds before pinching his chin and pushing it up.

I chuckled at his reaction, obviously frustrated for the kiss that was suddenly cut short. I wriggled out of his embrace and kneeled a bit to hug his waist and kiss his stomach. Laerad covered his face with both his hands but he couldn't hide his blush that has spread to his ears and neck.

I immediately stood up and removed his hands from his face then gave him a quick smack on his lips. I held his right hand and pulled him towards Peony and his family members. Peony immediately called on to other fairies to gather around the plaza.

Once everyone was present, I formally introduced myself as the current queen of Eieneos and Laerad as the deity that governs the world tree realm. Everybody looked shocked at how casual the introduction was and maybe because he was my lover. Well, I admit that the sudden piblic display of affection has something to do with it too.

As for Laerad, he gave a look at everyone present and smiled gracefully. I would have thought that he was calm but I saw him stare at each of Peony's five sons just a little bit longer than the others as a trace of irritation passed through his eyes. It may not be noticeable to others but those few seconds was not missed by me.

I did tell him about those fairy babies in the room of beginnings so he should have an idea about the identities of the fathers of those babies. Ioannis, being deified, was very keen when he was pregnant and he was previously human at that. What more if the pregnant guy was a pure blooded deity?

To avoid any possible drama, I asked Laerad to install the vessel which will collect the rent for this sanctuary as previously discussed. He flicked his finger and a transparent orb of about 20 inches in diameter suddenly appeared above his hand.

A column made of sturdy wood and luscious vines rose from the center of the plaza with its top resembling a bird's claw. Laerad simply placed the transparent orb on it then a column of light enveloped it and protected the whole structure like a sturdy barrier.

Laerad then spoke with a cold tone, "Make sure to fill this up as rent every 100 days. If you do not fill it out, I will make this orb 25% bigger by the next month as a penalty. It would be easier if you have more members so if you know of other fairies living somewhere else that were interested to move in, get them here soon to share the load with them."

I squeezed Laerad's hand and spoke, "As a reward for being the first race to move here and believe in my words, you only have to pay half of the usual rent for the first six rental payments. If more than half was collected, it will carry over to the next collection as my promise to be keep my word."

The faces of the fairies showed happiness as they heard that their whole sanctuary will be rewarded. As for Peony, he smiled and gave me a knowing look. I smiled back and gave him a wink.

Our short exchange was noticed by Rosia and Peony's five sons almost instantly. They showed confusion and some curiosity about our exchange but I simply ignored them. I will let Peony handle any questions that they might have from his end. I did give him the freedom to let them know about my arrangements regarding my children, his grandchildren.

I bid my farewell to everyone and started the teleportation. I saw Almond Blossom run to catch up to me, probably wanting to ask or say something. It is not time for the conversation he wanted for now since I need to pacify the jealous guy that is currently trying to crush my hand. His face was emotionless but I can feel him shivering in probably anger and jealousy.
