Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 316 - Departing from Zanahavre

After being teased till he got angered, Nasturtium immediately tried to pull off the ring from his thumb but as Luna said, it can't be removed anymore. He grunted and exerted all of his strength but it was to no avail.

Since he can't see Luna, he simply screamed at the top of his lungs, "GET THIS OFF OF ME! NOW!"

Luna chuckled again and replied, "It's a done deal, LILY. Don't worry. Once the ring has absorbed the amount it needed, that ring will disintegrate since it has fulfilled its purpose. It's not gonna kill you so no need to scream like you've gone crazy."

Peony sported a rare smirk on his face and this did not escape Nasturtium's eyes. He then questioned his father, "Father, are you in cohorts with this woman? Why did you let her give me this cursed ring? I even told you what she did to me last time she was here."

Peony chuckled and replied, "Times have changed. What if I tell you that I have changed sides? Luna has given me an amazing benefit that I can't refuse. For me to get that benefit, I had to kind of sacrifice you and your brothers a bit."

Nasturium's eyes widened with surprise and hurt, "Father, what do you mean by sacrifice me and my brothers? I can imagine you sacrificing the others but I thought you love me the most?!"

Peony quipped, "I love my sons all the same. Since I treated you like this, the others will get the same treatment." He then suddenly talked to Luna, "Your highness, aren't you going to tell him just like you told the other four?"

Luna responded, "Hmm... I will think about it. Hmm... You can tell him if you want to... You have to hurry though. I feel several people approaching your residence at high speeds. I think they don't like the idea of you and your five sons leaving Zanahavre."

Peony suddenly stood up and approached Nasturtium and chose to whisper the truth to him. I saw his son's face change emotions every few seconds which was quite amusing. After hearing everything, just like Lotus, he looked dazed and was speechless.

I already know they felt the peculiar warmth in their soul when the children were born through the room of beginnings. It is just that since they are first time fathers, they might have not known what it meant and based on their reactions, none of them told Peony about it and chose to ignore that pull at their soul, except for Almond Blossom and Iris that seemed to have known it from the start.

I suddenly appeared beside Peony and addressed him directly though with a voice that only the two of us can hear, "I think we have to leave now. I will help you bring this residence to the new sanctuary as well since I know you love this place you have built so much."

Peony gave me a smile of thanks and he simply nodded. We went out of the room and his four sons outside, including the fourth that has finally regained his consciousness stared at my sudden appearance. Their eyes all looked at me with different emotions. As to what emotions those were, I do not have the time to analyze and understand each one of them.

Nasturtium went out of the room right behind us with the same dazed look as Lotus earlier but at least he did not pass out life Daffodil did. Peony broke the silence and instructed, "We have to leave now since there are several groups approaching my residence at high speeds. I do not think they like the idea of me leaving without coughing up the benefits of the cursed seal that they forced into my body. I don't have even a slight bit of interest in getting killed for bringing all of you with me."

While Peony was speaking to his sons, I have already silently placed a barrier around his residence so that the outside forces can't barge in as freely as they intended to. I simply smirked at the four sons who had already gotten back their senses and for some reason, all of them blushed almost at the same time. Now, I believe that they have become weird.

I did a silent chant for the teleportation circle straight to the new Zanahavre inside the world tree realm. One by one, teleportation circles appeared underneath the feet of Peony and his five sons but none under mine.

Before they could ask me why I am not leaving with them, the teleportation has started moving the people one by one starting from Peony then from the eldest to his youngest son. After making that all of them have left the parlour, I chose to stay behind to store this whole residence inside the my storage bag I shared with Laerad as a promise to Peony.

Once the six men are gone, I floated a bit above ground and stored the residence and everything in it inside the storage bag. Without the residence, all the fairies that have assembled outside the residence stared in shock at the sudden disappearance of such a huge structure.

They all stared at me wide-eyed as I was the only one left standing in the middle of the ground where Peony's residence used to be on. I smiled sweetly at everyone and as a last call for tenants I asked, "Does anybody else want to leave with me today? I can help you safely leave this place. I know you are looking for Peony, his followers and his sons but I would like to apologize since they are no longer here. To sum it all up, you are a tad bit late."

I looked around and saw Rosia staring at me with eyes that showing a complex mix of emotions all at the same time. I saw tears flowing down her eyes and then after a few seconds she wiped them off with her hand. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and when she open them, the sadness has been replaced by a hint of determination in them. Amidst the surprise of her family members, she walked forward and asked me directly, "Can you promise that our lives will be better? Can you promise that my husband and my son will never encounter hardship, illness or starvation in that new sanctuary?"

I smirked and answered cryptically, loud enough for everybody in the sanctuary to hear "I am sorry that I can't divulge anything about the new sanctuary nor promise anything to you. Let's just say that this is simply a "leap of faith" or a "trust your instincts" type of decision. You will only know if you go there just like the others. I am not forcing anyone though. I will stand here for five more minutes then I am gone for good. It is all up to you to decide. I already gave all of you two weeks to make your decision."

I had a good impression of Rosia the first time I saw her. Even during the meeting at the hall with Peony, his other wives, sons as well as their relatives, she did not join the others in berating and insulting her husband and me. She simply listened and took note of all the important points and observed quietly. Even if she had questions, she kept her voice calm and only used polite words.

As usual, she was staring at me intently as if making a decision based on her observation of my actions and the way I talk. She must be weighing carefully based on how confident I am or checking if I am lying in any way.

I waited patiently and simply observed around the area. I saw a few fairies who looked like they wanted to speak or perhaps go with me but some of the troublesome family members of Peony's wives were glaring at them, scaring them into submission. It seems that whoever is left now are fairies serving these five powerful families as their attendants or slaves.

Out of the blue, I received a telepathic message from Rosia as she said, "I promised Peony to bring everybody that wants to leave but are being coerced to stay and not speak. He said that you can help them and transport them safely no matter how dire the situation is. I wanted to join my husband and son but I do not know how I can do so safely. My family would rather chain me or kill me to make sure I can't disobey the order of the elders."

I stared at her and answered, "I can protect you and supply you with as much mana as you need to complete your goal. Bring all those who want to leave inside the barrier where I am in throught teleportation. I will let anybody that has a whiff of your mana inside automatically. Can you do it for all of them in one go?"

She gave me a short answer, "Yes." I started chantless spells and sent it to her body to increase her mana recovery speed and temporarily increase her mana capacity by channeling my own mana to her. I have a feeling that there are at least dozens of fairies that wanted to leave but were threatened to submission.

I then spoke, this time loudly, "Two minutes left before I leave." At the same time, I sent her a telepathic message, "Mark each one and then teleport all of them at once inside the barrier. I will protect and support you."

Once she got my assurance, she slowly closed her eyes and I felt her mana spread thinly and secretly on the ground, branching out and reaching several people scattered in the crowd. I immediately placed a barrier around Rosia discreetly to protect her from any attacks from the angry onlookers.

It only took less than a minute for her to mark all the people for teleportation. Once they were marked, I channeled mana through her and in a blink of an eye, more than 20 individuals including a few elderly women and men as well as children were teleported within the barrier.

This sudden event alarmed the people around the barrier and they instantly figured out that Rosia was the one who transferred the individuals to the area near me. Before they could attack her, I teleported her within the barrier as well. With a quick thought, all of us within the barrier teleported out of Zanahavre.
