Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 287 - Preparations to Move the Mystique Tenants

After teleporting, I reappeared back in my villa in the Academe of Gnosis. I am glad that the semester is finally over and it is currently the week long holidays before the new semester starts. It was perfect since I was able to handle my affairs with Aurum as well as the other things I had to do in other places without worrying on missing out any of the classes.

I walked towards my room, laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling. After about 10 minutes of staring at nothingness, I heard Laerad's voice in my head saying, "I have two things I need to update you on. Are you busy as of the moment?"

I pulled my blanket up to cover my face and responded, "Why are you even asking when you have the ability to see everything? You know that I am staring blankly and doing nothing right now."

I heard him chuckle as he defended himself saying, "I just want to clear this misconception of yours, my wife. I can see everything if I want to but I don't do it the whole time. I do not have the hobby of spying on everything each person is doing in Aeocrescens. I also do not spy on what you do, where you are or who you are with. That is, as of now. Once I am fully yours, I am not so sure if I won't."

I rolled my eyes and removed the blanket from my face and responded, "Fine. I will believe you for now. What are those two things you need to update me on then?"

Laerad chuckled again and asked, "Which one do you want to know about first, something rekated to magic or the World Tree Realm?" I responded briefly, "Magic Spell."

He chuckled then started telling me that he found some old scrolls and books that explained a spell where the soul can be divided into different parts as well as how to create body copies where the soul parts can reside. This enableds a being to complete multiple tasks simultaneously, be in different places at once and learn many information all in once go from different sources which are exactly my goals for looking for this type of incantation. I asked him if it was safe and he said that it is but the spell was very hard to learn. I told him to send over everything he found to me so I can start reading through it.

Once I gave my request, the scrolls, books and other documents fell on the floor next to my bed with a loud thud. The sound surprised me that I sat up abruptly from my bed. I looked to where the sound came from and sighed. I reprimanded Laerad, "Have you fogotten that we have a shared storage? Why do you have to dump it on the ground?" He simply said that it was faster to send it this way.

I rolled my eyes at his obvious goal to prank me. I changed the topic and asked for the updates on the World Tree Realm this time. He excitedly shared that he has finally built several living areas based on the combination of his memories and the information I have sent him during my personal visits in the sanctuaries built by the mystique races here in the human realm.

I curiously asked which places have he built so far just to be sure that we are on schedule. I will also need this information to decide the next steps of our plans. He responded proudly, "I have built quite a few places, my wife. I created all the layers of the world tree realm first and then placed some basic stuff like land and water. As for territories, we now have Zanahavre, Gollmortha and Freyheimr since those are the places you have visited so far. I also built Yphradiz which was the original territory of the heralds at the time of the old world tree realm."

He spoke in a sing-song manner like he was very happy and was waiting for praises. I smiled a bit and replied, "I appreciate you working hard. You did a great job creating four territories one after the other but it seems someone forgot that he just woke up from a coma due to mana drain a few months ago."

He coughed loud as if he choked on something and then replied in a panic, "I rested in between making each of those four places. I promise that I did not wait till all my mana and strength was used up before I rested! It was just that I had a lot of fun rebuilding the realm so I ended up doing them all excitedly."

I stayed silent for a while to force him to reflect on his actions until he felt uncomfortable. He then spoked carefully, "Wife, are you still there?"

When I did not answer even after a minute has passed he called again, "Luna, please forgive me. I won't do it again. I really did not use up all my strength and rested enough in between."

I couldn't help but smile as I heard him trying to coax me. I replied with a nonchalant tone while trying not to laugh, "Well, there's nothing we can do about it at this time. It seems that some of our plans would need to be delayed for about a few months to a year then."

Not even a few seconds passed, I heard him scream in my head like I said something really bad, "NO! YOU PROMISED ME THAT I WAS THIRD IN LINE! YOU CAN'T PUSH ME TO THE BACK OF THE LINE!"

Huh? What is this guy even saying? What's with the sudden heightened emotions?

I ignored his screams and changed the topic, "Since those four territories are prepared, I can start moving our renters there soon. My priority is Zanahavre first. Once they are settled, I will start moving some of the people living in Marahuyo next."

Laerad answered, "Yes, that's fine. We can start our rental business as landlady and landlord. WAIT. NO. YOU ARE CHANGING THE TOPIC! YOU CAN'T-"

As he was about to say more, I cut him off and said, "I will be visiting Lyartaim, Ceryneia and Aeterdumnox soon. I think that will be another four territories again since there are two races living in Aeterdumnox. I will send you the information of the territories I have visited to serve as your guide."

Laerad answered again, "Sure! I will be waiting for the information from you. The layers are prepared and I just need the specific details of each territory to start building. YOU- YOU ARE IGNORING ME! YOU EVEN GAVE ME MORE WORK WHEN YOU SAID I SHOULD REST! IF YOU BREAK YOUR PROMISE, I WILL NOT WORK!"

I laughed out loud inside my room which I am sure was transmitted through telepathy as well since I immediately heard Laerad say, "IT'S NOT FUNNY! I AM SERIOUS!" I coaxed him with an exaggerated voice, "Calm down. I just said "delay the plans". We have talked aboutnumerous plans. I never thought that you would think of THAT plan first."

Laerad stuttered and with an embarrassed voice said, "You- You did it on purpose! You are so mean... I feel like crying now." I chuckled and replied, "You are not the only one excited for THAT so why would I delay it? I want to see little Laerads running around in our little hut soon."

I thought he would reply quickly but all I got was pin drop silence from the other end. I guess he doesn't want to continue our playful banter anymore. Don't tell me he really cried? Nope. That's just him messing with me.

Since the silence has resumed, I started feeling sleepy since there was nothing to do or think about for now. I have just closed my eyes for a bit when I felt a strong surge of mana in my room. I really thought I was being attacked but then I felt the mana pulling me away from my bed.

When I opened my eyes, I was on a huge and soft bed. The light inside the room was warm but really dim. The sudden change in the amount of light between my room and here seemed to have made me temporary blind. I honestly don't know where I am but I did remember that familiar mana signature that pulled me in here. It's Laerad's.

The next thing I knew, something heavy landed on top of me. Even before I could understand what is happening, a fiery kiss was stolen from my lips and together with it I was bombarded by an intoxicating scent of mixed fresh flowers. It was like being in the middle of a field of freshly bloomed flowers in the spring. A moan couldn't help but be released from my throat as my body started feeling hot all over.

I tried to push the body off of me and this shouldn't be hard with my strength but this one on top of me was surprisingly heavy. This was the first time that my strength failed me and it wasn't enough to push someone away. Since I can't move this body, I grabbed the sides of the face of the person kissing me and pushed away from my face.

When I tried to focus my eyes more to identify the person who is trying to get close to me, what welcomed me was Laerad's flushed face and misty eyes. He was looking at me like I was a delicious piece of meat that he couldn't wait to devour whole.

Now that I know who stole the kiss, I don't feel that bad anymore but what is with this sudden attack?! I kept my hand on Laerad's cheeks and started trying to bring his clarity back. I called his name and asked, "Hey, Laerad! What happened to you? What are you trying to do here?!"
